  1. Thanks for the comments! Jack c yes. I used a slightly distorted preset in ample sc instrument with a reduced amount of delay and reverb in that preset then put it through a th3 preset i liked with it. I dont know john foxx music but will check it out. Nigel the pot is actually a stainless steel water distiller i use to purify my well water. When its done the inside of the pot has some mineral residues that make interesting patterns. Being into abstract photography i took advantage of the moment. Glad you guys think the guitar sounds ok. I have lots to learn about how to use it! Electric guitar is my favorite instrument. Thanks again
  2. Very nice piece, I like the guitar playing a lot. The song is very relaxing, meditative and rich with feeling. What culture is this from if it is a traditional canoe song? And how would it have been played in the traditional way, what instruments? It sounds a little western at times, but then not. thanks, treesha
  3. Very Steely Dan-ish , and the lyrics are very meaningful. Sounds very balanced and well arranged over here. Yes, those muses !
  4. Just finished this months in the works song, between home repairs and kept too busy getting new free and cheap stuff thanks to the deals forum, and on top of those bought Ampleguitar Stratocaster. This is my first attempt to use it. A lot to learn and I think some parts of the “neck” sound better than others. Tried to use some tips I read on the forum about guitar vsts. Overall I think it sounds mostly better than my hagstrom that is way overdue for work ! The image is the inside of a pot colorized. I guess this is a rock song with orchestral elements? It was fun to make. I tried to make the drum parts more interesting based on previous feedback. Thanks for listening and any feedback, treesha
  5. From the ni site... i have had to do this disable in the instrument in addition to the cakewalk setting often.... KONTAKT's Volume Resets When I Press Play in my Host Sequencer Symptom KONTAKT's Instrument volume is reset when you press play or stop in your host sequencer. Cause Some host sequencers are configured to send MIDI commands CC7 and CC10 when you press play or stop. KONTAKT can be configured to respond to these standardized commands to reset the loaded Instrument's volume. Solution Follow these steps to prevent KONTAKT from reacting your host sequencer's play / stop commands: Load an instance of KONTAKT in your host sequencer. Load an Instrument to KONTAKT's Rack. Press the wrench button on the upper left side of your KONTAKT Instrument. Click Instruments Options. In the Controller tab, disable the option Accept Standard Controllers for Volume and Pan. You can alternatively configure your host sequencer not to send the standard MIDI commands CC7 and CC10 when pressing play or pause. To learn how to do so, please consult your host sequencer's documentation.
  6. I did similar using email (without facebook) and got to the member benefits and downloaded it. Looks like it was worth the effort to get.
  7. I lived in lancaster county 27 years before moving out west. Don’t miss the winters there ! Had to cross a covered bridge to get to my last house!
  8. s seasons greetings from the desert, why is a small town and also a good question! best wishes to all
  9. Interesting idea, but I don't know how to insert a vst instrument and then have the chosen similar types of patches show up each in their own track? How is that done? Normally for a few patches I would use a few instances of the vst. thanks
  10. Theres a setting in windows (if u are using windows) that you can set to not allow windows to stop your usb from working sorry I forgot where it is but this issue has been discussed on the forum before. Also i had to buy a usb hub that is powered vs power via usb. These two things ended me getting that annoying message.
  11. I think thats fine i move project folders around with no problems
  12. The imported professionally mastered songs were probably not mastered to -14, but likely to -6 if thats what you are seeing. I do master to -14 but any songs i check are always much higher than -14.

  14. Does the master meter change when you move the master fader up and down?
  15. Can you check the projects tracks outputs and see if they are sent to the master bus or somewhere else?
  16. Since I am new to meldaproductions I followed those steps and got the freefxbundle upgrade for 11 something also. Not sure what they all are, but seems like they are popular so why not give them a try.
  17. When you say the tracks are there, do you see audio images in the tracks and you aren’t hearing them or is the track present but empty with no audio images in it? If you have audio images and hear nothing check your meter in th3 if it is supposed to be active and see if it is moving like it has input.
  18. The inputs on each kontakt must both be the same if they are both triggered by the one midi track. Check each kontakt input they should be different and be input from out of the midi track you actually want to play that kontakt
