  1. Excellent. Great song, instrument arrangements, vox, performances. The guitars totally work. The gradual, steady build up in the song sets up the guitar solo perfectly. Have to agree with Ross's comment about the backwards piano as the intro (homage to Yes's Roundabout??) Would love to hear this song on the radio🎶🎶🎶🎶

    Mr. Sandman

Excellent. Really, really nice reimagining. Understated yet powerful. Great vox. Great arrangements/playing by all the instruments, lots of interesting rhythm section turns. I would love to hear this on the radio🎶🎶🎶🎶

    In Time

Overall really, really nice. The intro is pretty much state of the art sound wise. I think the entrance of the drums at 1:33 could use a wider/stereo drum mix to really open it up and get the listeners attention. The vox is good, the lyrics from Ecclesiastes 3 are universal truths🎶🎶🎶🎶

Beautiful. You have some interesting triads/harmonies going on with the horns in relation to what's being played at any given time. Unexpected chords being formed that one doesn't hear very often🎶🎶🎶🎶
  5. Enjoyed very much. Well done🎶🎶🎶🎶
  6. Overall, the recording quality sounds great, very professional sounding🎶🎶🎶🎶
  7. Overall: great stuff. Nice vox, bass, synth work. A guitar or synth solo would have been a nice addition imho🎶🎶🎶🎶
  8. Bass down a dB or so, vox up a dB or so, drum elements up 1 to 2db, a little less reverb overall, piano sounds ok, lead guitar sounds nice, really nice song🎶🎶🎶🎶

    All your love

Sounds like a great recording and decent mix🎶🎶🎶🎶
  10. EQ: the bass elements (direct injected?, synths?, guitar?) can all be brought up around 1 to 2dB, the lead guitar riffs can also be eq'ed up around a dB, the percussion elements can also be eq'ed up around a dB. Instrument Levels: bring bass up 1 to 2dB, drum kit elements up 1dB, sounds like there's a couple of string synths that can be about 1 to 2dB louder, all acoustic guitars sound great. Vox Levels: Lead vox sounds great, i just hear your vox....don't hear the girl from SubVibe at all. Great work and collaboration so far🎶🎶🎶🎶
  11. Excellent. The Gabriel ingrediants are there but you've pretty much created your own spices and the result is quite powerful. Well done 🎶🎶🎶🎶

    Alone Time

Beautiful. The percussion/rhythm elements and the melodic/ musical/sequencer passages combine perfectly. I'm a big fan of Arturia's audio creations as well, this is the first time I've heard Augmented Voices (i have augmented strings and find them useful in the right places) and pretty much agree with you, they add a uniqueness, an extra dimension that's never been done quite like that before, a little goes a long way 🎶🎶🎶🎶

    wont let you go

Classy, intelligent, sonically interesting....the lyrics are simple but the voice is delivering the goods, the singers voice is very recording friendly....the only elements I would adjust are the percussion parts using the snare/hand claps beat which can be used less for more impact. Also a cleaner ending. Overall, great stuff as usual, I'd much rather hear your stuff on the radio than most of the over produced and soulless material that's so popular 🎶🎶🎶🎶
  14. Beautiful. Enjoyed the double dropped D tuning, Buffalo Springfield's "Bluebird" is in that tuning also🎶🎶🎶🎶

Beautiful. All the instruments fit perfectly together🎶🎶🎶🎶
  16. Nice foundation to build on. Could be a great intro. And yes, presets are our friends. I kid you not, they are the single best way to see what a VST can do and also to teach ourselves how the different controls work, separately and together🎶🎶🎶🎶
  17. Excellent. Writing, arranging, playing, singing (both lead and harmony), mix. Conjures the best moments of Fleetwood Mac, Emmylou Harris, The Eagles, Poco, The Band. Excellent🎶🎶🎶🎶

    Saqqara

Thanks Nigel. The hypnotic Bass and percussion sections were the first parts written, everything else was written to enhance those sounds🎶🎶🎶🎶

    Saqqara

Thanks Rik. After a long, hot day designing the expansion of Egypt Djoser would be well served with his favorite microbrew and few listens of Saqqara played by the Pharaoh's favorite instrumentalists 🎻🪘🎶 🎶

    Saqqara

Thanks Bjorn. I agree, it could use some additional elements. This is the first Egyptian music I've tried to write. The research I did revealed that, like Middle Eastern, Egyptian music consists of quarter tones, something that Western music lacks. So, I did a search for Middle Eastern style scales on YouTube and found one I liked and used in the piece. The scale is E, F, G#, A, B, C and D. I also watched a few YT videos of live performances to try to improve my perception and feel🎶🎶🎶🎶

    Saqqara

Thanks mark. Appreciate the listen. Also appreciate the helpful comments you wrote about my comment about uploading .mp3's to Bandcamp....the truth is, when I posted the song here yesterday night after spending all day finishing it up my mind and ears were, well, probably in Saqqara buried beneath the sands, as what i wrote was completely wrong. I upload .wav files to Bandcamp so my apologies to Bandcamp for my incorrect information regarding the quality of their streaming🎶🎶🎶🎶
