    HURRICANE

Very well done. My only suggestion would be bring up the snare as well as the other drums. Vocals are spot on.

    The Song

Thanks so much for the comments... will check the feed back. We are on the up and up here in Norway as we are backing band to some very big names. Lot of time spending working out "stage presence" and how to go into a flowing concert with no breaks!! Arranging song order and instruments to cover cappo changes etc. Must admit I am loving it. The vocals are recorded on my Townsend mic. Love it.

    The Song

"The Song" performed by Hobo Train. Written by Thomas Wold - Lead Vocal. Its been a while. Here is our rough mix. I would value your thoughts as we are nearly there now. Many thanks. Gary
  6. Hi Pete. First time I ve listened to one of you tracks. I really like your voice. Gary
  7. The one thing I really appreciated about Cakewalk being free at the time was that the developers were not under pressure each year to bring out new features as if it was a paid version. Many bugs have been fixed in Cakewalk since Bandlab took over.
  8. One thing I have been thinking about. Many of us are say 40-70 yrs who use this software and know it well. I see Next being for the younger generation.. but I am sure Bandlab must look further than us oldies and our loyalty to keep things alive??
  9. But Terry times change... technology changes. As things develop your purchased products wont work. Example VST2 is soon obsolete. We could say the same for O.S. too?
  10. I remember all you are singing about... Do you know the pianos on my foot!! 🙂 They peel them with their metal knives. 🙂 Well done Keith.
  11. @Hidden Symmetry I'm so sorry... it was my ears shot!! LOL. Listened again this morning.. this mix is spot on... well different as a fresh listen. Am I hearing correctly on the low mids and high mids? Well at least as I wasn't afraid to say something because your productions are usually top notch!!
  12. I like the track.. very nice. We all paint very different pictures but it seems very top endy and lacking in low mids and bass (not like your usual mixes. This is just my opinion and could be because I have been listening to music all day while snow ploughing with my nuraphones pro buds.

    Sad Day

Its very strange being on here,,, you feel like you have known people for donkeys years (those who have been hear a few decades). And you literally do feel for them especially when expressions in music plays its part. I listened to your track @Wookiee and the first thing I heard in was for "Whom the bell tolls" which added the wariness/sadness as soon as the track started. Hang in there pal. Thinking about ya, Gary
  14. Very nice. Reminds me when I crossed the Sahara with my Land Rover.
  15. Fantastic Mark. I think the vocal levels are fine. To be honest I dont here much with your de-ess problems you are stating. I have recently been using Synchro Arts Reptich for dessing and other sibilants. I do have Melodyne Studio... but that has gone on the back burner now due to the new program. Brilliant. Love your vocals.
