  1. I posted links to a couple reMIDI + Scaler videos in the reMIDI thread. If you own one of them, it's worth checking out the other as well:
  2. I didn't know it was available outside BFD. I'll check it out. I'm still kicking myself for missing it when it was available for SD2.
  3. I didn't know much about BFD but I got caught up today. They've changed hands a couple times - not a good sign. And the buggy and convoluted authorization is a big turn off. Long thread of complaints on the BFD forum and no software update since June. Think I'm gonna pass on this one.
  4. I'm on the fence. Someone push me one way or the other: I already have SD3 but I might consider BFD just for Joe Barresi Evil Drums. How has this kit held up? Is it still worth buying? Is anything in SD3 comparable?
  5. Yup, that was pretty bad. The program folder contains 32-bit and 64-bit VST2 and VST3 files. On my system additional copies were also installed to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST2 C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3 C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2 C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 The MIDI files installed to C:\ProgramData\SongWish. I couldn't find a user manual anywhere, but it can be downloaded through the reMIDI UI by clicking on the little "i" in the top right corner. There is no authorization. Just download and install. If you also own Scaler 2, check out these videos on using it with reMIDI:
  6. I got a reply this morning. NI will not allow the "update" prices for owners of the 2017 bundle. There are seven products from the 2017 bundle in Collection 2 and three products in Vocal Suite 2 so that certainly seems like it should qualify. I'm going to pass. I don't like to buy software twice.
  7. I wasn't impressed with the support bot. I filled out the form at this link: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. No response yet.
  8. I'm in the same boat. I sent an inquiry to support. What was really disappointing was seeing the upgrade price after I logged in, but then being told I don't qualify after I added it to the cart.
  9. This is not a complaint, just an observation. I built a new computer this year and experienced the joy of reinstalling all my DAW software, 15+ years worth of stuff. Without question, the most convoluted install process was with SampleTank 3 & 4 and the legacy IK programs. It took several tries before I got everything installed properly and in the correct folders. I wrote down the procedure in the event I should live long enough to ever have to do this again: - - - - - run the IK Product Manager and change the download location to: D:\Downloads\IK Multimedia Sound Files copy the sound files in this folder to the backup drive; IK Multimedia places a 180 day limit on sound file downloads - - - - - after installing SampleTank 4 but before installing the sound files, run the program and change the library path to: F:\SampleTank 4 do NOT include a path to SampleTank 3 yet because then SampleTank 4 will install all sound files there instead SampleTank 4 install will automatically create a SampleTank 3 folder and install ST3 files there - - - - - after installing Syntronik but before installing the sound files, run the program and verify the correct library path: F:\SampleTank 3 Syntronik should already be pointed to this location Syntronik sound files *must* be installed in the SampleTank 3 folder - - - - - after the Syntronik sound files are installed, in SampleTank 4 add the library path for SampleTank 3 UNDERNEATH the path for SampleTank 4: F:\SampleTank 4 F:\SampleTank 3 now Syntronik can be used within Sampletank 4 - - - - - after installing Miroslav Philharmonik 2 but before installing the sound files, run the program and verify the correct library path: F:\SampleTank 3 the Miroslav Philharmonik 2 installation should default to this location as SampleTank 4 already installed Miroslav Philharmonik CE files there SampleTank 4 will recognize Miroslav Philharmonik 2 sound files without the need to install SampleTank 3 it is not necessary to uninstall Miroslav Philharmonik to recover hard drive space, as the sound files were initially installed into the SampleTank 3 folder - - - - - the SampleTank 3 program installation is only required if you want to import Sonik Synth and SampleTron; these sound files are not recognized in SampleTank 4 first, install Sonik Synth/SampleTron programs and sound files to their default locations it is not necessary to authorize the programs; they will be uninstalled after importing the sound files into SampleTank 3 NOTE: first delete C:\Program Files (x86)\IK Multimedia\Sonik Synth 2\Instruments\I Elements B\G Groove Elements\130BPM_ailing.sti; this file will abort the ST3 import process - - - - - after installing SampleTank 3, run the program and verify the correct library path: F:\SampleTank 3 Miroslav Philharmonik will be recognized automatically; Sonic Synth/SampleTron will need to be imported manually through the ST3 UI - - - - - after importing the Sonic Synth/SampleTron instrument libraries into SampleTank 3, uninstall Sonic Synth/SampleTron to recover hard drive space run SampleTank 4 Sampletank 4 will NOT import legacy sound files, but only create links to the original files now use SampleTank 3 for Sonik Synth/SampleTron and SampleTank 4 for everything else
  10. Confirmed: LegacyCell now working properly. Software Pass now shows all devices installed. 👍🥂🎹
  11. I've been on SF11 since the Paleolithic era. Nice to finally upgrade at a reasonable price.
  12. I couldn't find much I didn't already have covered with other libraries so I purchased Catmosphere six times to get Requiem. 😻
  13. They have extended the coupon code, but good luck trying to use it. Now I'm getting "internal server error".
  14. Nice samples. The free stuff is definitely worth checking out.
  15. If you already have old school analog covered I would pass on this, and loading hundreds of Kontakt instruments to find what you're looking for is a bit of a chore. If you're just starting out, looking for ready-made analog, and don't have the time to learn a synth this is worth the discounted price.
  16. Over 50% off at T+S: https://www.timespace.com/products/zero-g-epica-redux I picked it up for 73 cents with my loyalty points.
  17. $149 for me. I'll wait for Black Friday. It's usually a better deal.
  18. I emailed Gforce and they confirmed v3 includes the expansion that was previously sold separately.
  19. Win 10 Home 20H2 here. MODO Drum updated successfully.
  20. I'm curious how it compares against the Keyscape model: https://www.spectrasonics.net/products/keyscape/models/ep_la_custom_e.php
  21. I received mine in two days if I count from the day it actually left the Fed Ex facility in England (6/23), but I'm on the east coast.

After reading this article (TPM-2.0-A-Brief-Introduction.pdf), I would also go with the chip rather than fTPM if I had to choose one over the other.
