  1. Won't work in this case, but for future reference when you see something went wrong: Start hitting Ctrl+Z until it's reversed. If you made changes/edits after noticing it, save a copy of the project to retain those changes and then start hitting Ctrl+Z. Then you can migrate things like recorded tracks from the copied project back into the fixed one.
  2. Curious if changing Stretch Method or Clip Tail Duration in Preferences would affect this? I've had instance where using the wrong stretch method rendered some bounces unusable.
  3. Did you know small and large track icon size can be changed? Cakewalk.ini, AUD.ini, and TTSSEQ.ini. have the power to change how Cake/Sonar looks and works. Cakewalk.ini and AUD.ini can be edited in Preferences. Info and a list of changeable items for each version can be found in the offline and online help: CbB: https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=INI_Files.2.html Sonar: https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=CakewalkSonar&language=3&help=INI_Files.2.html Others: https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation/Home (to see images, remove "S" from https) (Save '"print" web pages as PDF for quick reference. Editable files are in the C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\version folder. Theme-able version themes may override these settings. Tho removing your edits is easy, you should proceed with caution and backup the originals before making changes. Each version has their own files so make sure you're editing the right ones.
  4. I've seen similar issues with previous Cakewalk versions but they were mostly video related glitches that only happened once or twice. . . Like huge spaces between tracks or missing control elements. Imagine a Console View with no faders or knobs.
  5. Do you run single or multiple screens? What zoom settings are they at? My laptop has a different video card for the main screen and the 2nd one and strange things happen when they're set up differently.
  6. Got a project that seems to cause my MOTU UltraLite mk3 to start producing a rapid noise loop while playing that continues when transport is stopped. Only one audio track is soloed while playing. Closing the project stops the noise. Any ideas? Record 2 (1768).wav
  7. Funny you mention that. It's still the one I use but many features seem unfinished or unrepaired. Kinda like driving on a nice wide paved road to the river only to find no bridge to cross it.
  8. Answer?: I signed in, downloaded and installed the update thru CbB Help menu. If this works and you still can't activate, try signing out and back in again thru Help menu.
  9. Like if the same interface has multiple outputs: MOTU 1&2 and MOTU 3&4, etc.?
  10. Curious what happens if you just change the foreign characters with English text and resave the files? VC2!1 <LPMBSETTINGS FramerateMS="22" EnableOpenGL="1"/> VC2!1 <LPEQSETTINGS FramerateMS="22" EnableOpenGL="1"/> Another difference I see is UTF-8 vs. UTF-16 LE, but that may not matter in this case.
  11. That could underscore the underlying problem here. Except in his video, it doesn't, because there isn't . . . an underscore.
  12. At least in CbB, all Patch Points are displayed as "Patch Point". Request to display the PP numbers as they are in the menu, and include L/R/S. Renaming helps a little, but w/o L/R/S I have no idea which one I'm looking at. So for a left channel patch point 1, instead of Patch Point, it could be PatchPoint 1-L or PP1-L or Patch1-L, etc. Tho somewhat cluttered, SPlat displayed this info, then CbB removed it.
  13. Option yes, but I found this informational: Craig A's blog circa 2015 Unused Patch Points: Unused patch points are automatically recycled by Cakewalk to keep the project organized. They are only fully deleted when the project is saved, closed, and reopened.
  14. IWT as long as backward compatibility is baked in, all older formats should show.
  15. The OP's issue more likely be his video card struggling to display the new vector graphics for some unknown reason. Even the previous bitmap based GUI had occasional glitches.
  16. When bizarre stuff like this happens in Cakewalk world, sometimes shutting the whole thing down and waiting a while before rebooting may clear the nonsense that causes it.
  17. Unfortunately, Creative ASIO should be deleted from registry. . . at least for Cakewalk. Never tried it with other audio software.
  18. At least in CbB, normal (cwp), template (cwt), cakewalk (wrk), bundle (bun), riff (rmi) and MIDI (mid) files all show in QS.
  19. You'd have to ask them. My guess is the new GUI changed the way things are displayed and they're keeping it simple during the major revamps and will implement the little things like color options after that. When, is anyone's guess.
  20. So, it no longer expands automatically when inserting new ones? Or is there a setting to alter that function?
  21. Tho it would be nice, is it necessary if they're plainly labeled? Earlier SONAR versions had neither color nor label so you were completely in the dark until you realized the 1st one was always the VST3. . . as it still is.
  22. I would think "Minimum" should refer to resources needed to run the core program, and "Recommended" for running the program with added accessories, like plugins.
  23. Would changing the Base Octave for Pitches in Preferences help with this? From documentation: Base Octave for Pitches. There is no industry standard for numbering octaves. By default, Cakewalk calls MIDI note 0 (the lowest possible note) C0. The Yamaha FB-01, for example, shows MIDI note 0 as C-2 (C negative 2). To match Cakewalk to that standard, set Base Octave to –2. I believe it's a global setting so doing so may have a negative affect on other projects.
