Easiest Way To Make A Sweeping EQ Effect For 1 Track?

Thanks Amberwolf, sometimes there's too many ways to skin cat. -
Easiest Way To Make A Sweeping EQ Effect For 1 Track?
sjoens replied to sjoens's topic in Instruments & Effects
Basically twisting the Hi EQ Freq knob back & forth. I'm playing around with different ideas. On this synth so far the EQ sweep gives the kind of effect I'm looking for but recording real time automation creates a million nodes making it ridiculous to edit. Is there a way to reduce envelope nodes after the fact? -

I've played with it a bit but it seems to quit working after a while and doesn't retain settings as expected. Hopefully the author will improve it. -

Thanks for the ideas. Definitely some things to try. -

Easiest Way To Make A Sweeping EQ Effect For 1 Track?

The effect: Raise the level of one band and sweep it back and forth across the entire range. Drawing track automation? Tedious and time consuming drawing & adjusting 100's of nodes. Record automation while playing project in real time? Not so accurate. Currently trying to use PC EQ for this. -

Updated several utilities for CbB v2.0.10 2023-05-06

Is it me or is something goofy with Forum Software dating? 3 months... or 4? 1 month... or 1 year 4 months? 1 month... or 3? -
I'm not aware of any CbB themes that can change menu colors so I'm curious how you did that.
-
Media Browser. Use the arrow button to navigate your drives. Click on files to audition. Drag files directly to Track View:
-
Are those backwards? My CbB doesn't have a black menu but I know Sonar does.
-
Some of us don't need a GM synth or play MIDI files. In 25 years I've never used one.
-
pssst... no one uses screensets.
-
If you have a lot of tracks, using F or Shift+F will compact everything as tightly as possible.
-
If you're using CbB and have the 64 bit version installed, it should load as is without dxshell. If you only have the 32 bit version installed, it won't work in CbB. If you have 64 bit SONAR Platinum or earlier installers you can install the synth w/o installing SONAR. If you're trying to use it in other DAWs, check that they can load DX plugins as some don't.
-
Funny thing is it (v4) has been opening right up in 32 bit SPlat.
-
But only if you have Cake Pro Audio 9 or earlier... right?
-
Maybe I misunderstand but other than 1 or 2 they all seem to be hardware specific, of which I have none.
-
Since none of these work with my hardware they are of no use at all unless I can make my own, tho I've read creation required a bit more technical skill than the average person has. A good idea that could have gone farther had it been thought thru better? Kinda like dangling a carrot just out of reach.

12 years too late and yes there's one when you click on the dropdown menu, but would be much useful to see one on the module number for an immediately obvious reminder like a lock icon or colored border:

[SOLVED] Occasional Inconsistent Snap Behavior (CbB)
sjoens replied to sjoens's topic in Feedback Loop
My default is to have nothing selected. But thanks for kicking me in the head to look at settings. I found Snap To Nearest Audio Zero Crossings was checked. My screenshot proves this was the "culprit". It's the little Per Project settings that get you and why they only happen "occasionally". -
In some projects Snap refuses to work properly. Every now and then clips refuse to split or move at the proper Snap To location no matter what snap resolution I select: Example: Split at 75:01:000 with snap resolution of 1/16 results in: When this happens I have to disable Snap and drag clip ends manually.

[SOLVED] Mysterious Vertical Line In MIDI Clip (CbB)
sjoens replied to sjoens's topic in Feedback Loop
Yup. This entry does appear when an audio clip is converted to MIDI thru Melodyne so maybe it happened by mistake. -
Visible in Track View. Nothing in PRV. Event List shows Melodyne text entry??? This was not an audio to MIDI conversion track. Don't even know what the text is. Bouncing the clip did not remove it but when I isolated that section to a new track and bounced it, the entire clip disappeared. MIDI clip has no name but I was using Melodyne quite a bit on the audio tracks below it.
