  1. OK, it's working now. It didn't want to the other day for some reason.
  2. There's a Paste Special setting for that so it may be intended behavior. For me pasting a single note creates a full length clip that can extend to oblivion, which is not intended behavior. The new clip should only be as long as the added notes. I only use SoS.
  3. Seems not possible because they only allow ASIO audio? Can't find a setting to change it to system audio. A workaround is to use the DLL versions with SaviHost which allows audio options, but being able to use the factory EXE's would be better.
  4. Thus the see-thru, non-responsive drum kit. You can hit F1 for Help file when SD3 is in focus. Hold Ctrl while scrolling mouse to zoom in if text is too small.
  5. or. . . "Scammer Website Strikes Close to Home." If I'd known it was worth $100 I'd have never given it away! Just make sure you select the right size when checking out, because "Default" size may not fits all. Be sure to check out all the stolen apparel on this bogus clothing site. Obviously they use screen grabs from real sites like this one.
  6. From what I've seen, scalable image based GUIs usually have several sets of images to facilitate the changes. No small task if you have a thousand images per set.
  7. Wow, thanks Amberwolf! Never knew about the ctrl+/- zoom trick, definitely better than PDF conversion. If only it worked on plug-ins, tho. I knew the Index panel text could be made bigger with Windows Ease of Access > Make text bigger widget (already set to 125%) as it's supposed to make all text bigger, so was disappointed when CHM main text didn't change. BTW, Track View Track Numbers, Browser, PRV Piano Key labels, Staff View, and file menus are affected by Windows text settings in SONAR, CbB, and possibly Sonar. Too bad Time Ruler digits aren't.
  8. It's almost unbelievable how small font size is in these old CHM files on newer screens. Changing screen zoom or font size to a readable level makes everything else on screen too big. Along with older plug-ins, would be nice to have them increased. 17" laptop @1920x1080 with 100% zoom Otherwise, segments can be printed to PDF which makes them easier to read.
  9. Same as CbB and SPlat. Preferences > Customization > Colors.
  10. Nice! Thanks for the help. Got it working after holding a left-click while hitting F1. Not sure what's going on but it tends to be hit-n-miss. Works, then doesn't. At least I found the chm file in the Documentation folder so all's good now.
  11. I noticed there's no Help file or "About" window. All I can find is a blip in the older SONAR Help files and a CAKETV video. My copy says "Cakewalk" but older versions say "Cakewalk by Roland"??
  12. Thanks. Mine is set to Whole Words Only. But that shouldn't befuddle which word it looks for. Just tried it again with module and got modifying the 1st try. Doesn't happen all the time but often enough. I may be hitting Enter so fast it gets confused.
  13. Or drag the module down with the new grabby bar thingy.
  14. Because the new FX Rack is also scrollable, maybe?
  15. When using Adobe Acrobat, search words are not being recognized properly on 1st try. For example when searching the exact word Module, I get every instance of Mode instead. 2nd try usually fixes it. Is this an Acrobat or document issue?
  16. WOW! It's like a whole 'nuther forum of Cakewalk users. We were abandoned. Apparently "official" forums died eons ago. 🤔 I dinint know this 'cause I'm antisocialmedia.
  17. The OP is using an older version of CbB with the old file menu structure which may have shown multiple instances in the Recent list. But the latest versions with the new file menu structure don't. SPlat and older SONAR versions don't either AFAICT. One reason to leave older versions installed is for opening old projects that used them without throwing a "missing plug-in" error. Even if it's dead, you may be able to retrieve preset and other settings it was using before replacing it. @Dave GYou could try locating the dll and temporarily change the extension to dl- or something, then reopen Cakewalk, rescan and check the Plug-in Manager entries for it. If it's still there, you may have 2 copies. If it's gone, something weird's going on.
  18. Can't say it's happened here for quite a while so it could be almost anything. A crash dump may reveal something.
  19. AFAIK colors are stored in the EXE file and upon opening Cakewalk writes only the colors available in Preferences to the registry. If you delete the registry entries, Cakewalk rewrites them next time it opens. You can't change colors in the registry. Theme data are stored in the theme file itself (FTH, STH). The EXE file reads from it, TTSRES, and TTSImage to display the GUI. I think the registry only documents which theme was last used so it can reload it next time.
  20. Also, never let it Sleep or Hibernate. All my button and lid settings are set to "Do nothing".
  21. Sounds like new Sonar has some new tricks up it's sleeve. Previous Sonar versions would sometimes do this after a crash. I now save new iterations of a project with each major change. Hours of work may be lost but at least you have a starting point with an earlier project. Save and save often.
  22. Cool, but let's not distract them from m o r e important things like . . . . . C O L O R customization. In fact, I'm boycotting all future requests until it happens.
  23. It's the main file for GUI display. TTSImage.dll removed the images from it for user themes and theme Editor. If TTSImage is still around it's mostly unused left overs from a now long-forgotten age. Basically but it has a unique file extension over user created themes: FTH vs STH. F=Factory. S=Some user made this? They are the same format and extensions are interchangeable but FTH files have to be in Cakewalk Core folder and STH files have to be in Cakewalk Themes folder to be seen in Preferences.
  24. I've found having multiple Cakewalk DAWs installed can cause numerous issues between them if not installed exactly right. Then again, none of them ever needed a reason to crash - certain days were crash days no matter what. 3 days ago CbB crashed right after it opened with no project. Today it crashed (froze solid) after slip stretching a Melodyned clip before bouncing it 1st. In this case, it really was a plug-in.
