  1. To me that should have been there from the start. But most users don't even seem to know what screensets are. They're too busy being distracted/confused by Workspaces. Tho that may change if the Free tier stays around.
  2. Yeah, I've gone thru all that in another thread. Was just exploring if compatibility mode was an option. Doesn't seem like it is in this case.
  3. Found this post from 2009: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Aaron39s-Sonar-Mp3-Encoder-Patch-v2-m1839895.aspx
  4. Wondering if there's a way to do that, or do they have to be made for the particular OS? My MOTU UltraLite mk3 keeps disconnecting after a recent Windows update. The latest drivers are for Windows 8.
  5. But that would effectively undo any edits V-Vocal did to those clips. Then you're looking at redoing them when you open the bun. If exporting to audio is the goal, it's good practice to bounce before and after each Region FX edit so there's no issues. I normally do this as part of the process.
  6. I think USB is the worst venue for audio production but it's the one-size-fits-all for everything PC. A dedicated audio port system would be the best but not likely to ever be a thing in this world, let alone affordable.
  7. Cronus is V-Vocal. As with any Region FX, V-Vocal clips should be bounced or rendered before exporting audio. That way SONAR is free of it's influence. After bouncing them, check if there's any hidden clips behind them and remove them. Not that they would throw an error but it's a good thing to do IMO.
  8. Try C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\Sonar\Metronome. For some reason, the Metronome is another one that seems to have redundant folders all over the place - as many as 3 different locations for each Cakewalk version. I would consolidate them if there was a way to reset the folder in Preferences.
  9. Fixed. Found an X2 BREVERB install file and all's good now.
  10. Set to Triangular, but would that affect this?
  11. Not sure... but I found an X2 BREVERB install file and it's all up and working now. So, I have at least 4 versions of BREVERB: 0.0.8.0, 1.0.1.0, 2.1.1.2, and 2.1.1.3 and they're all in different locations. The one seemingly affecting ProChannel was 2.1.1.2 in Cakewalk\VSTPlugins\BREVERB. But I thought it would have been 1.0.1.0 in Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\Internal, where the main PC modules hide. Maybe the two are part of the same install. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  12. Does that also work with VSTs? Maybe that's why 64 bit BREVERB2 isn't showing in my SONAR ProChannel lists. If not, I may need to reinstall SONARs X1 thru SPlat.
  13. No effects, automation, or anything else on either clip. Clips are nearly identical with no discrepancies when played together. Phase cancellation is nearly zero but not 100% so there must be some audible change to the audio when drag-exporting.
  14. Two identical wave clips with differing stats. 1. Record project mixdown to stereo track. Project>Audio>MIX, Rec (116).wav ~ length=2:35 size=43.728kb 2. Drag recorded clip to desktop to export. Desktop>MIX, Rec (116).wav ~ length=2:33 size=43.037kb Windows Media Player reports the same difference in length. 3. Import exported wav back into project to compare. Audibly and visually identical as expected. Screenshot shows end of clips @2:33:00. Now Time Line @2:35:00. No automation or anything else on tracks. Why does the exported clip report more accurate stats than the recorded clip?
  15. I believe the collapsed areas in both versions are about the same height. So even if the lines were removed, the space would remain the same. The lines in Sonar are only there to help identify where to pull with the mouse. The Show/Hide menu is for the actual track to show as in the lower part of your 1st screenshot.
  16. I believe there's a previous post that revealed they don't take up any more space than the same area in CbB, where you have to hunt trial-n-error to find the one you want.
  17. Thanks. This has nothing to do with my post so disregard it. Curious tho if the Program browser does the same thing? Click "PROG> default" to open it. Not sure if Display Scaling or Ease of Access settings would affect this but maybe something to check. The SI window, and possibly Sonar itself may need to be closed and reopened after changing these.
  18. Thanks for clarifying. Simply saying the names are all screwed up doesn't describe the actual problem. 🙂
  19. List won't scroll to bottom? Just grab the bottom of the list and pull it down. Scrolling to the bottom of the list is now possible. This issue was reported years ago and is as old as dirt. It affects many Cakewalk instruments. The list opens in it's own window and can be moved separately from the main GUI.
  20. There are many other missing entries so wondering if they could also be added at some point?
  21. AFAICT, in all versions of Cakewalk, ALT+SHIFT+L is [Unassigned] by default, but it can be bound to whatever you want. X1 screen shot: But it's not in the right-hand Preferences lists of SPlat, CbB, and Sonar for a user to know that. You can export it from X1 thru X3 and import it into SPlat, CbB, and Sonar - but it won't be in those lists. The only visual way I can see what I bound ALT+SHIFT+L to in those versions is the fine print under the left-hand list where it says Assigned to: Apparently the right-hand list is not being refreshed with imported shortcuts. There are many factory shortcuts that aren't shown there either. If a shortcut isn't in the right-hand list, a user has no idea it's available. So, if a shortcut is active and available, why is it not in the list?
  22. Thanks. SONAR Default Key Assignments.kbn comes with each version, but can it be used to restore factory defaults? All it contains is: [Bindings] Version=201 Shift=192 LBType=0
  23. To answer their questions: 1. ALT+SHIFT+L is unassigned by default. 2. There is no Lock/Unlock Screenset in the Global Bindings so manual assignment is impossible. You might also let them know that there's many shortcuts that work if imported but aren't in the Preferences list.
