There was some mention of updating Nvidia drivers in this thread. My laptop is 2016 with an updated 2024 Nvidia driver. Nvidia has newer drivers dated 2025 while my laptop support site only has one dated 2019. However, Nvidia Drivers site says this: Although GeForce Game Ready Drivers and NVIDIA Studio Drivers can be installed on supported notebook GPUs, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM for recommended software updates for your notebook. This makes me wonder if installing the 2019 driver is best?

Some Cakewalk plugins like Boost11, original LP-64, TL-64, TS-64 series, and others, have extremely small value screen text that's hard to read... Compared to Channel Tools, which is more readable.

Is there any way to set a key shortcut to jump back 5 or 10 secomds?
sjoens replied to T Boog's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
For me, dragging the time ruler creates a "selection" and hitting V opens the Video pane. Once a clip or section is selected, Shift+L sets it to loop. L turns Loop on/off. Spacebar for play/stop. -
FX Bin = FX Rack. It was renamed in SPlat, I think. EDIT: This may be a Sonar bug but it's not happening in CbB.

Fun Fact: You can use arrow keys or Markers Module buttons to navigate between markers and Arranger sections even if no markers are present. -
I find it helpful at times and not helpful other times so it's nice to have a quick on/off option.
-
... I knew you'd say that, but I didn't see how when I checked.
-
This option is for projects, not playlists. Once a playlist is open the option grays out unchecked even if checked before opening one.

@Astraios The site you're trying to reach is no longer up. Try these links instead: https://code.google.com/archive/p/pizmidi/downloads https://web.archive.org/web/20170712045242/http://www.thepiz.org/plugins/?p=pizmidi archived website. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=300566&start=75 last page of his KVR thread. I just googled piz midimonitor. Looks like last update was 2011.

I tried that one but the data disappears seconds after displayed so if you don't see it right away it's gone and you have no idea there was any data.

Currently scrub tool ignores MIDI controllers. Would be nice if it at least followed pitch bend for more accurate scrubbing in PRV. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Tools.17.html

I couldn't find a MIDI monitor on their site today. Not a VST but https://www.midimonitor.com runs from your web browser. Also not a VST but MIDI View is a standalone that can have multiple sessions open.

If it doesn't work you can try compatibility mode: 1. Right-click the file installer.exe or Cakewalk.exe once installed 2. Select Properties 3. Click Compatibility tab 4. Check box Run this program in compatibility mode for 5. Select Windows 8 6. Cllick OK

Working here. Are you using v1.1.8.1? -
See if this thread helps: Especially the last one on pg2.

LUFS levels change when project gets exported

Normally... the Master Bus is a Bus that can output directly to the Hardware Outputs, but it can also be routed to another bus, Aux track, or Patch Point 1st. Hardware Outputs are determined by what's selected in Preferences > Audio > Devices. New projects include a Master Bus by default but not required as each track and bus can be outputted directly to Hardware Outputs. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Views.32.html or reference pdf pg 1832. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Views.30.html or reference pdf pg 1830. -
That's why. I can reproduce the issue on my 2nd screen at 150% with CbB. If I move the plugin to another screen set to 100% it behaves as expected. This is a common issue with some software when using multiple screens set to non default scaling. The plugin maker would have to address this.

[GLITCH] PRV Notes Disappear When Pasting Notes
sjoens replied to sjoens's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Sorry, missed your post Promidi. I'll try to keep this in mind if it happens again. -
Looks like your on Windows 11. I'm on 10 and it works as expected here. Could be a system glitch. Try uninstalling and reinstalling.

Audio files are saved once to the project "Audio" folder IF Copy all audio with project is checked when saving. If unchecked, audio will be saved to the global audio folder located where ever stated in Preferences > File > Audio Data. There is also a global Picture Cache folder that should be purged (everything deleted) periodically. It's for temporary files used while a project is open, but they remain afterward so it fills up over time.

Interrsting how current New Sonar info is posted on a "legacy" site.

If you right-click on a track's number and select Insert xxx Track it will appear above the track you right-clicked on.

I installed both plugins in question and find they work as expected after saving and reopening CbB. The only hiccup I had was after inserting ZL Equalizer into a project it disappeared from the plugin list and had to be rescanned to appear. ZL Equalizer installs thru an .exe file but TDR Nova can be downloaded as a zip and simply dragged to a folder. Try doing it this way if you used the installers or vise versa. I have Automatic Background Scan selected so Cakewalk scans them when opened. Try disconnecting the 2nd monitor and setting your laptop screen to default recommended resolution and zoom. Try resizing the plugin window or putting it in Multidock. It will be huge in Multidock so that's not an option for daily use.
