  1. Did you check your Library paths?
  2. The way to fix it is to get rid of Workspaces. In fact the way to solve any feature that confuses people is to get rid of it. OR, the default could be Advanced so everything is enabled on new installations with no way to change Workspaces unless Workspaces is enabled (by a deliberate change of preferences). CLARIFICATION: I just realized that anyone stumbling onto this post might not realize I was being sarcastic. "In fact the way to solve any feature that confuses people is to get rid of it," was too subtle a hint. As a big fan of using Workspaces back then (as well as earlier and now), I was not seriously suggesting that Workspaces should be gotten rid of.
  3. If the SYN2GB goes all the way, won't you have everything that's in Syntronik 2?
  4. If misery loves company, I can relate with this one. I had it in my cart and then got "sidetracked" with a project.
  5. I think its good that you don't include it in your tutorials. But in all honesty, you are hyperbolizing.
  6. Initially I wondered about this [see quotes added below]. Are you sure that the downloads don't have all the wave sets to choose from in edit mode for the new presets for the previously owned instruments? I have CS, SE, and Full, so I was never sure, but it seems to me if you have the SYN2 Sound Content for 99 (for example), for the new presets you should have (1) the ability to edit the presets with the new Edit Panel, including (2) access to all the SYN2 wave sets for that Instrument. Are your Library paths set up to include both the *.st3 files and the *.st4 files for Syntronik 2? It doesn't make sense with what Peter and others have been saying all along (and which I believe): If the Group Buy goes the distance and users pick up and install all of the Sound Content files, they will have the equivalent of Syntronik 2 MAX (except for transferability). This quote from FAQ 1431 also seems to be saying that the new EDIT page and the Wave Sets require "the updated sound content created with the Syntronik 2 engine that are only available in the Syntronik 2 versions of the Synths." It seems to me that if you any of the Syntronik 2 versions of the Syntronik Deluxe Instruments such as the ones from the SYN2GB, you should have the new EDIT page and the Wave Sets.
  7. Yeah!!!!! I stumbled onto CB's YT channel early on in the pandemic. JMO: great musicianship and great sense of humour.
  8. I love his videos. Mondo respect. If this plug-in will give me 1/10,000,000ths of his abilities . . . . Does it have an algorithmic CB style arranger where I can just put in chords and switch articulations to sound like CB?
  9. I was one of those who thought, "Why don't you just point the midi track to the soft synth?" I am struggling to understand why that is not the first thing people think of.
  10. Good information here to help others who might come along with AIR Music product issues, but as for @LoopJunkie the original issue looks [SOLVED]. (Please add to topic if it is indeed solved.)
  11. In my experience Notepad works well for editing *.ins files.
  12. I thought this sounded familiar. Someone else was looking for it a couple of years ago!!!
  13. I suppose it makes sense to do it that way if want one and only one contiguous Cakewalk Window that spreads across two monitors as opposed to having all the views placed where you want on the two monitors.
  14. DAMN!!! ? I should have posted and then updated with the connection. Babes before Cubes! Maybe I can find a connection with Cubes? EDIT: The cubes and the babes are both sweet and so are the GTOs?
  15. Just in case the connection is not obvious: "Girls Together Outrageously"
  16. Just remembered where I heard of Robert Service. "Radio humorist and raconteur Jean Shepherd recorded a collection of Robert Service's poems, Jean Shepherd Reads the Poems of Robert Service." Used to listen to Jean Shepard's show as an impressionable teen! "War War War" sounds familiar, but I can't remember if I listened to it "back in the day." Good ol' Country Joe! Thanks for posting this!
  17. Interesting idea. For some of my Workspaces I float the Dock on a second monitor set up maxed size. Sometimes I will have just the Console, but sometimes I use the Dock's tabs so I can flip through pages on Monitor 2. I am trying to imagine what your proposed feature would do. UPDATE: Out of curiosity, have you (1) undocked the multi dock, (2) moved the floating window to your second monitor, and then (3) maximized it? Hmmm. Are you saying you also want the Inspector on Monitor 2, to the right of the multi dock but rather than positioning them manually, you want them to snap into place? I am sure I have some Workspaces where I placed multiple views onto my second monitor so I can recall that arrangement with the switch of a Workspace. Manually placing the views "just right" can take some effort, but sometimes I find the blue "snap to" feature annoying.
  18. Its a VST (not a VST3). My default installation has it in Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins. I don't use it but will checked to see if it works on my system. I assume you have that in your scan path and that you have not set your system to use only VST3s. It opens in Cakewalk, the loop list shows up, I can drag loops into the "Drop Track or Audio Files Here" Box, it does the analysis, and I can play the loop/file/sound. Hmmmm. I also have program files (x86)\air music technology and program files\air music technology in my scan paths. So maybe that's the default and I told the installer to use the Steinberg folder? Not sure. I use a tool called "Everything" and searching for transfuser*.dll found it in seconds.
  19. Aren't we supposed to have multiple licenses for the same products so we can keep extending the 30-year license? ?
  20. Not sure its related, but before I did the folder creation and moving thing (above), I inserted the empty tracks I used. When I manually moved (highlighted frame/dragged] the tracks, track names changed as follows: ==> ==> ==> Again, not sure of any impact of the automatic naming/renaming of tracks on the folder moving/ordering issue.
  21. There seems to be some retention of the order of creation in my test. STEPS I USED: Create 5 tracks one at a time. They each get a default name that shows the order the tracks were created in. Reorder the tracks. I did not resave the new project (not sure that would make a difference). Rename the tracks to show the new order (using ordinal numbers!). Select all 5 tracks in a random order. Right click on first one. Select Move to Folder > New Track Folder. The order of the tracks in the folder is based on the order the tracks were created. Second Test: Undo the order from above. Reorder and rename the tracks. to show the new order. Select all 5 in a random order. Insert New Track Folder. Right click on the first of the five selected track. Select Move to Folder > Folder 1. NOTE: There are a lot of variations. I tried 3 more each time using either undo [sequential Ctrl+Z] or bulk [Edit > History]. One variation used the Menu Bar to create the New Folder (instead of right clicking). Each time (so far) the order of the moved files got rearranged to the original order as created and named [Track 1 . . . Track 5].
  22. Automation lanes and take lanes were in SONAR long before I ever tried them. I think it was in 2018 or 2019 that I finally used the take lanes. I had a bass pattern and I was testing melodic leads on top. That's when I decided that the comments box was useful. I think I had 18-20 of melodic lines with a bass pattern that was maybe 16 or 32 measures long. So I listened to them and took notes for later.
  23. Expand the track. The Take Lanes button is at the bottom. I usually expand the track by dragging the bottom edge of the track down. Other use the expand/collapse button in the upper right corner of the track. Some people use keyboard shortcuts to expand the track.
  24. Yes its there, but without double clicking in the text area I don't think others can type in comments either. That's why I double click there. For all of the obvious, unnecessary stuff that's in there, the documentation doesn't tell people to double click (unless I missed it)!!! ? Maybe its different on different PCs? Maybe there's a way to bind "Open Take Lane Comments Box" to something else? [Nope; not that I saw]
  25. I select the take lane and double click on the text field. See this to expand the take lanes. This page shows item J. Comments in Figure 205. The "explanation" is the last item in the list of Track Lane controls.
