I believe that the PDC button is in its normal, non-highlighted, state when it is not disabling latency compensation for live input channels. If it is highlighted it is disabling latency compensation.

Follow the instructions in this forum thread. The problem is almost always a plug-in. Have your tried to start in safe mode? How about bypassing all EFX and seeing if you still get the crashes? You may have to do some detective work to find out what is causing the crash.

If it is project specific you may have to create a new project and copy over everything. But before that make sure that Write Automation is enabled on the control you are trying to record. Are you using a midi controller or just the mouse?

My waveforms are in dB in the trackview. At least that is what the scale says at the left of the tracks.

Windows updates, driver updates etc. can cause changes. Installing new software or applications can also cause issues. The best way to check what is causing it is to use Resplendence Latencymon to check for things that could be causing dropouts. Also, knowing what your audio interface is, the driver model used and bit depth and sample rate you are using can help people help you trouble shoot.

We would need to know more information about how your project is setup. Maybe a screenshot of the track(s) that are having issues would be helpful. Where is the audio track routed? Master bus, or some other bus? what other tracks are there and how are they affected by the panning?. What is BGM? -------------------------
-
The only solution is to figure out what is causing the delays in your machine. Make sure your using the latest driver, Preferably, a good ASIO driver. Optimize your computer for audio by following one of the guides. I.E. If all else fails run Resplendence Latency Mon while recording and see what items are causing the computer to not keep up.

multiple instances of surge xt go to freeze
reginaldStjohn replied to giuseppe gibilmanno's topic in Instruments & Effects
I would suggest that you start by doing some of the tutorials in the reference manual. ( ) Or some of the tutorials in the tutorial's forum. The crash is probably caused by the surge xt, I would start by adding a simple instrument track for surge xt and add the midi you want for that track. Then add another simple instrument track with surge xt, or other instrument, and add the midi for that track separately. -
AutoPitch? Is this available for Cakewalk by Bandlab?
reginaldStjohn replied to tdehan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Not natively in Cakewalk. You need a plugin of some sort to do this. -
There is also "offset" mode that lets you adjust the faders and other controls relative to their current values. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR X3&language=3&help=Automation.13.html

LA2A / LP EQ / LP MB re-activation thread?
reginaldStjohn replied to Multi-Sonik's topic in Instruments & Effects
You have to login to your old Cakewalk account and get the serial numbers. You may have to contact support Support@cakewalk.com to have them help you login. -
Usually it is better to start your own thread with a new question not tag onto a 3 year old thread. However, you can cut the clip, using the scissor tool or the 's' command. Then use clip gain, or process audio->gain to change it. Other ways include using track automation to increase the volume using a volume envelope or if you have Melodyne you can cut the clip to contain the note you want and then analyze it with Melodyne and use Molodyne's gain tool to increase/decrease the volume. Make sure you bounce the melodyne clip after. Please see the documentation for Splitting Clips, Applying Clip Gain, Volume Automation ect.

I see it in my email. It is the same deal as if you have Kontakt6 or Komplete Select.

@fleer. I don't see any crossgrade offers on Izotope's website or in my loyalty offers. How did you see that

Sampler magically stopped working
reginaldStjohn replied to Ezekyle36's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Sorry to hear about this, very frustrating indeed. Just a couple of suggestions to try., - Can you see Sitala in the synth rack? - If it is in the synth rack can you open it's UI from there? - Any warnings or error messages about missing plug-ins when you open your project? You may just have to bring a new instance of Sitala back in to your project and route your midi track to it. As far as the audio information, don't know exactly what you mean here, but if you are using per project audio folders then the audio should be underneath the project directory. -
FR: Double-click Entry for Gain & Pan Values?
reginaldStjohn replied to sjoens's topic in Feedback Loop
If I highlight the pan control in the console view and hit F2 I get a text entry for pan. Same for gain. don't now why double click or the others don't work. -
Changing song tempo with audiosnap
reginaldStjohn replied to Marcello's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
While not as sophisticated as using audio snap when I want to change temp of audio tracks I bounce them to a single clip, then either enable Groove Clip looping or time stretch them, shift-cntr drag edge, of the clips to match the tempo. -
High RAM and cracks on light projects
reginaldStjohn replied to Dah Tarel's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
You would have to go through each plug-in one at a time to see if there is one particular one that is causing problems. Bypass each effect and see if it helps. Some plugins take more CPU and RAM then others. Do you have any Virtual Instruments? They can cause issues as well. -
This is usually because there is an automation node, event or other item along the timeline. Go to where you want the end of the song, select all, then select in the timeline from the end of your song all the way to the end of your view and hit delete. Other suggest having Ripple Edit All on when doing this as well.

On two PCs connected to UMC202HD and UMC204HD sound cards, a guitarist in my group and I have the same problem with Cakewalk closing as soon as we start it. Since VCRedist2022 has just been updated by RuckZuck, I uninstalled VCRedist2022 and relaunched Cakewalk_by_BandLab_Update_Setup_29.09.0.075. This fixed the problem.
