  1. I have a Nektar controller (L88+) and I have never had anything intelligible show up in that box.
  2. Try this site. I would also recommend Mike Seniors mixing books as well. https://cambridge-mt.com/ms/mtk/
  3. The dreaded Realtek Asio driver and the Stienberg genericd ASIO drive have been known to cause these problems as well. Make sure there are no other audio drivers showing up. If there are, uninstall them.
  4. Since this thread was 2 years old he was not using the new subscription Sonar. It was certainly an older vers
  5. Larry, How come you just pop in occasionally? We miss your wallet emptying energy.
  6. The best answer I have see is to do a project "save copy as", save to a new folder and make sure the tick box at the bottom to include project medias files is checked.
  7. Flat wound strings don't create as much high end as round wound. Could be that the tone knob was not removing much high frequencies since they were not there?
  8. What are you using to play the file back? If you have tried with a wave file export then the issue is most certainly a device problem. Are you closing cakewalk before trying to play back the file? Since you are using Asio4all (which you should probably remove, but that is another discussion) it could be that cakewalk and windows are not sharing the driver correctly. If you have closed down Cakewalk and it still does not play you will have to look into your windows audio settings.
  9. You can always "heal" the split clips by swiping across the whole take with the smart tool. http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.57.html
  10. Do you mean take lanes? http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.46.html http://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Arranging.48.html
  11. The "Deals" subforum is usually where people put these kinds of things.
  12. Sonar 8.5 is no longer supported. Crashes like these are usually down to a plugin problem or a plugin host compatibility problem. Unless you are willing to upgrade to a newer version of Sonar you are probably not going to be able to solve this. Of course you can try the usual suspects, update video and audio drivers. Re-install C runtime libraries etc.
  13. From your description: Direct monitoring of Mic sounds harsh. Recorded version of the vocal plays back normal or at least darker and not harsh. Not monitoring through the DAW or any plug-ins. Seems to me that only answer that fits is that the direct monitoring circuitry has gone bad or has a setting on that only affects that path.
  14. You will need to contact support. "Support@cakewalk.com"
  15. I think this is just the way the program works. I know in Studio One if you have snap enabled when you bounce a clip it snaps the clip size to the next largest boundary matching the snap setting. Maybe make a feature request for something similar.
  16. Have you sent a crash dump file to support? support@cakewalk.com.
  17. Thats a pretty good price if you want to get in with T-Racks 6
  18. You could try a "save as" and make sure to check the keep audio with project setting at the bottom of the save dialog. Don't know if this will fix the issue but it is worth a try. Make sure you safe it to a different location or folder
  19. You can group clips together so when you edit one clip the other edits with it. If you are talking about levels then I would use a bus or auxiliary track. Send both tracks to a bus. Set their relative levels and then adjust the bus as needed.
  20. Check this blog post. https://prodigalsounds.com/blog/2021/05/04/drum-maps-in-cakewalk/ Make sure your output column points to your instance of Kontakt. You can select all rows and with cntr-shift held down change all the fields at once if they are wrong.
  21. Don't run as administrator it can cause other issues. Set your workspace to none or create your own workspace and set the settings as desired. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Lenses.1.html
  22. Support can be accessed by sending an email to support@cakewalk.com if you haven't already done that. Or you may be able to submit a support request on the bandlab website.
  23. Probably better to start your own thread rather then brining up a 4 year old one. Also, Include more information like what audio device you are using, driver mode (ASIO, WASAPI etc). A screen shot of your settings would be useful as well.
  24. There is a guy names @azslow3 on here who created his own midi control software from the Cakewalk source that they open sourced a while back. He would have more information. Check out his web site. He may have a solution for you.
  25. Have you tried following a tutorial or the manual? I am sure that these will work with Cakewalk if setup properly. https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=ExternalDevices.03.html
