  1. I believe he asked for a free library - and in that regard I can't help, sorry; I'm only posting the show a much cheaper price for Straight Ahead Bass for $35.10 rather than Big Fish's $89 here https://www.straightaheadsamples.com/sa-bass But if you think you'll ever want to transpose those bass notes and/or move the key switches you'll not be able to do that w/ SA Bass; you are bound to the pre-mapping as laid out by the developer. Try to transpose w/ that library and everything goes haywire, and as such I can't even personally recommend that library. Yeah, not much help.
  2. That was actually pretty dope man, I liked the off notes. Had a Rentals vibe.
  3. Lol nah, I did engage though.. went right down the d@mn drain with them.. for old time sake. Even got me my first and only infraction which I'd be proud of if it meant something.. psshhh even the mods there get infractions lol
  4. The Sknote UV Vibe ($29), while it's pretty rad, it only does the chorus/vibrato univibe thing and that's all. As you said Tube Modulator can do that (just as good) and more. Tonight I was able to get the TM to sound like my Small Clone using the wow/flutter feature for that detuney chorusy thing which the Sknote does not have, so I don't believe you're missing anything if you have TM.
  5. I like this forum cuz the people are smart and don't hate each other. Last time I was at gearslutz some seasoned dude came along and crucified my s#!t for asking about chickin pickin from an amp sim and compressor vst. He said I couldn't download talent and called me and my ideas stupid and broke my feelings and he and his sycophantic buddy proceeded derail my thread into something about Thunderbird. It took me back.. last time I got caned like that was in '98 on GS when I asked how to get "killer tracks." Admittedly that was my fault. These days I know how to get killer tracks, and as soon as I can afford that one plugin I'll have them.
  6. Word, I can highly recommend the Edstortion pedal. It's actually a fuzz, and one of the better ones I've tried.. real grimy on my baritone.. like Fu Manchu grime w/ some definition. You've got like 30 minutes left to get it for under $10
  7. I also have Sknote's Uni-vibe that I bought a few months ago, and I had forgotten that I even had it until I saw this post lol, and I haven't even tried it yet though it's supposed to be pretty cool. I don't like to collect redundant plugins but I'm especially fond of really cool and vibey modulation plugins so I make an exception here. I doubt they sound exactly the same anyway so that's cool.
  8. Thanks for the Tube Modulator tip. 50% sale ends tonight
  9. Right on. Is there a way to edit those? I see I can can draw on/add to them w/ the smart/draw tool and drag them up/down where they lay, but is there a way to e.g. combine the "on" blocks or delete them or move their position? I vaguely recall being able to move the little triangles around at will--and probably I did it in the controller pane where these teal blocks are now--though that would've been in X1/3..
  10. I'm just gonna get the pedal for $9.80. Typically his rack versions sound like the pedals but w/ a few more features for production stuff.. at least that was the case w/ the psa1000 vs PSA1000jr and the guvnor, and I ended up just getting the Jr and the little guvnor.
  11. I'm talking about those little triangles that represent the on/release of the sustain pedal that show up at the bottom of a midi clip when you record the action. I've found info about automation and of course I can access the automation on the midi piano track, but I can't see how I can get in and edit the little triangles themselves. Is there a way to nudge/delete the individual triangles? Pretty sure I've done it before.
  12. I scored this http://www.proaudiostar.com/keeley-compressor-plus-with-added-tone-and-blend-control.html be here tomorrow
  13. Now check these out http://synthmagic.com/store.html
  14. Does anyone remember if the BF50 coupon that took 50% off Waves plugs at Everyplugin during bf also took 50% off of plugs that were already $26 (the equivalent of $29 at Waves)? I was considering the PuigTec EQ which is currently $26 something at Everyplugin, but if that plug was going for $13 during bf w/ that coupon then I'd wait till Christmas/New years.
  15. For anyone looking to get Scheps Omni Channel this is the cheapest I've found it - even a bit cheaper than Everyplugin's $35.99: https://www.bestservice.com/scheps_omni_channel.html
  16. Towards the back of the line it looks like there's perhaps an older lady w/ a purse who's trying to score some more gear too
  17. John, I respect you and everyone else on this forum. Honestly man, if you're gonna put your music up for people to critique then that's exactly what they'll do. If you just want people to listen to your stuff but not comment on it and/or not offer you any criticism other than to praise you, you wouldn't be doing yourself any favors if your goal is to improve.. And in that vein, since you've posted this thread I'm going to give you my straight up opinion and I promise brother it's from the heart.. Your attitude often sucks man and is a turn off.. seemingly always down on yourself that you're not getting the praise you feel you're owed for the hard work you've put into your music. But I'll tell you, all the heart and countless hours we put into our work.. truth is *no one cares* about that -- *no one*; they're subjectively listening to your music and judging it based solely on what they're hearing, void of the emotional connection you personally have to the music - and I'm the same way, because I know all that hard work, itself, doesn't qualify or guarantee anything. And a lot of us aren't financially well off and have life issues etc.. that's neither here nor there and, frankly, I think is more of an excuse here than anything. And really, complaining about how certain people react to your music on the internet is like going into a sports bar during a game and complaining about loud dude bros.. it's par for the course. No, samples (or lack of quality samples) aren't your particular problem. If you've got Trilian, Miroslav, Arturia etc.. no. You need to focus on your songwriting -- and I'm speaking generally -- and your attitude. That's not meant to be harsh.. I'm saying you don't appear to handle criticism w/o taking it extremely personally to the point of snapping at people and wanting to give up, and that's no good. If people would otherwise just praise you non-stop w/o ever telling you what they truly think, that's no good either. The other side of that is not everyone who would critique your music even likes or listens to that kind of music per se.. some people don't get a particular style/vibe, and still others just don't know s#!t period but will still give critique anyway because that's people and that's the internet, so some things just need to be taken for what they're worth. If you want to post your work online I think you need to learn to take all that in but filter it; don't let it poison you like this. And maybe don't take yourself so seriously. OK it's 11:00am and I've got to get s#!t ready for today. My family is politically divided so I'll be drinking especially heavily today.. in fact I think I'll start now
