  1. We have not many tools to observe what's going on market or at all. I think one of the best is group buy comparison. How they are growing comparing to previous ones as we have some exact numbers there. Number of people, time... I have strong impression this year IK group buy was progressing much slower but on the other side it could be result of less interests in this year offer which was different than before. Many people are more insecure this year so holding back their purchases. But on the other side as Brian mentioned there are much more great content and people locked at homes so stimulating many people to buy something... I am buying this year less before but still buying... But lots of 'new' people locked at their homes looking at content probably was infected GAS... So my guess is cheaper software could be selling great but pricier worse.... But who knows... Locked are home people have more time to develop their passion. And lots of people buying music software are not music professionals so have still their income secured despite hard times for musicians...
  2. R u kidding? Do you know how many deals are at nights from different time zones? Larry has only very short outage when he is replacing his batteries
  3. Yup, upgrade price for standard upgrade is scary... But the most important thing for us is if the difference rx7 vs rx8 is really game changer for us in our workflow... If I didn't miss anything not for me anything till maybe $29 level... 2 things improved, 2 things I am using other plugins for anyway... And on top of it after video demo watching not very impressed with some results...

    Shreddage 3 Hydra

No worries, you just need thicker strings to be lower than them
  5. I wish they stopped the madness with faking those PR dishonesty numbers of amplifiers and separating them artificially per channels. It is so artificial and obstacle only just to have possibility to say they are simulating ~90 amps what is obviously huge lie.... Like DVmark Triple Six CH1, CH2, CH3 separated to 3 different amps... So PR numbers are higher? Oh, really Overloud? Anybody believes it? What about honesty and good name? Grr, it is so bothering me since TH3 Worst idea and regression ever in amp sims world... Maybe next step to split compressors to versions like 1:2, 1:3, 1:4,... And they will be able to claim they simulate more compressors....

    Venemode Phasebox

It is a pity. It looks like very useful plugin. I missed previous deal... But sooner or later I will grab it or something similar.
  7. Well. well. well... My role was quite different but I appreciate your honesty True, but in this case it was pointing to exact backdoor threat name 'Backdoor.Bladabindi.'. Anyway as you could expect I did not read it as anything sure either. However it incremented my internal risk counters so reporting alert to manufacturer I just tested how they approach security. Is it something serious or rather similar to automatic PR-like answers... In some companies developers are working on laptops accessing in the same time Internet freely. In the other ones job laptop is not allowed to have access to Internet at all except VPN tunnel... Etc... Many different possibilities , many different risks. It would be great if backdoors would do some useful work for us Some housekeeping in plugins, keeping updates Well, maybe some subscription model backdoor, let say getting from me $0.5 per month and keeping everything ordered, updated perfectly And also some programmable option for some deal hunting 🤣

I see $59.. Is this deal starting in some days?
  9. Well, maybe I am obsessed about security too much (working in my past with the things made me oversensitive?) But also because of what bothers me more is something different than possible false positives (some antivirs can be just not precise in their checks, too small signatures etc ). The thing is I reported many times to different manufactures such alerts and what is my real concern is how they approach such reports. It is almost always the same: they response usually very fast but with the same words: 'don't worry, we are safe, it is false positive, we are sure' etc.... But no any info about their security procedures, or something like 'thanks we will check it', or 'we did already check that case'.... When getting something like 'heuristic' type finding I am not so concerned as with backdoor type... The only exception was Audient when I reported to them alert with a few findings they provided to me link to early beta version which was much cleaner in scans. Among all such cases it is enough just one time to introduce troubles for some people (like stealing sensitive data, using comps for attacks for more sites etc)... I wish manufacturers did more to ensure customers they were safe than just providing words like 'we are sure it is false positive'. I have seen how it was done in real in many companies. They were completely at different levels but all they were saying to customers the same : 'don't worry we are safe....'
  10. Absolutely true... I have one problem with testing this plugin... With 3 attempts separated months I got backdoor warning notification (virustotal)... 1 antivir from Russia and 1 from Ukraine are warning about backdoor... It could be false positive - of course - and probably is... But what if... It would be great target for hackers to inject some additional code. Seems to be very popular software. Manufacturers as always are very confidentially answering it is false positive they are secured... but did they check it at all or just automatically answering such sentence to anybody? Or maybe some hidden code to let support to help remotely ? But in such case they would probably not say it is false positive.... Many well known manufacturers different things were also claiming in the past they were secured... Toshiba, Sony, etc...
  11. Hm, those plugins for WA are so affordable so I am buying them but not using them ... I am starting thing that is the plan for them... Plugins bought by many but rarely used by anybody... Is collector syndrome part of GAS syndrome or maybe the last stage of it? 🤔
  12. The best freebie ever is Cakewalk by Bandlab 😛
  13. Pretty good thing even essential one, super easy to use (you need camera able to take a few shots with different exposure of the same scene ) https://www.hdrsoft.com/learn/stay-positive.html

  15. Try to click cart icon anyway. It is possible it has been added and you will be able to do checkout. And be logged in at that moment. I had similar issue.
  16. Great the more licenses we have the better to cover all our machines without moving them again and again
  17. So you need to use it otherwise you will feel like you have dropped your money away. BTW is anything this thing can provide what cannot be done in DAW?
  18. Working for me however I noticed it is very disturbing CPU so without huge buffer I was unable to run it without crack/pops etc.
  19. interesting... seems they have changed their names... previously BA500, now it seems to be SVX-500... Have they lost love from Ampeg ? Anyway even after refreshing my gear I still have old names, not like on newest pictures

    IK VI Group Buy

Similar boat here... I would like get B3 - for sure, maybe interested in MODO drums (although owning lots of alternative - I mean lots... ) but not particularly interested in Syntronics (lack of space and rare use for me, owning ST4). So pretty big investment 199EUR + VAT (!) for in fact 1 VST really wanted by me whatever buy it is called overall...
  21. If only they shared samples for slate trigger and ssd not forcing to pay twice for the same price per set 😔
  22. True. It is always nice if a person is a man keeping his promises
