  1. Yeah at a cheap price Iris 2 is OK.
  2. I’m still impressed with Nimbus personally. The auto ducking and really smooth operating and quality are A+.
  3. My AMD prejudice due to actual real life experience numerous times dating back to the early 90s is real. The fact is AMD is a true performer, good value. It's also true it can be a real PITA!!! not 100% code compatible at assembly level. YMMV. On a side bar, there is a reason HPE and the like use Intel, AMD tends to be used with Linux in Amazon and Google platform mega setups. Tony
  4. I may demo it Mesh, but for now, even my price of £50 (darn vat) is a bit rich after my recent spending. I was really just thanking Larry for a nice option.
  5. I'll be interested to see how it works, and at £4.48 for me, worth the gamble. I have used WA stuff before, it's usually fairly solid. I did hear an artefact on one of their examples though, we'll see.
  6. As much as I think that's a great deal... JRR still haven't fixed their problems... I still get no list of anything I bought off them... just a broken db read out page. Sad, but, there you have it. There has been an error processing your request SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'jrrshop_mage_LS.orders' doesn't exist, query was: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `orders` AS `main_table` WHERE (`customers_id` = '61854') AND (`orders_status` IN(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9)) Trace: #0 /vhosts/com_jrrshop/httpdocs/lib/Varien/Db/Statement/Pdo/Mysql.php(110): Zend_Db_Statement_Pdo->_execute(Array) #1 /vhosts/com_jrrshop/httpdocs/app/code/core/Zend/Db/Statement.php(291): Varien_Db_Statement_Pdo_Mysql->_execute(Array) #2 /vhosts/com_jrrshop/httpdocs/lib/Zend/Db/Adapter/Abstract.php(480): Zend_Db_Statement->execute(Array) #3 /vhosts/com_jrrshop/httpdocs/lib/Zend/Db/Adapter/Pdo/Abstract.php(238): Zend_Db_Adapter_Abstract->query('SELECT COUNT(*)...', Array) And so on... Sad Tony
  7. That is a very good deal. Although I use other stuff, this along with Neutron Advanced and Ozone Advanced make up the backbone of all my tracking and mastering needs.
  8. I have been given similar assurances yesterday by them. I'll check later today after the US wakes up :).
  9. Used my 25 off voucher in conjunction for a price of 29. At current GB exchange that was about £23 it's a great flavour master bus plug-in.
  10. Just an update, I pulled the trigger. I have a 14 core Intel beast with 256GB of RAM being built for me by these great people. I can give full specs if someone wants to really geek out :)> Tony
  11. MyPresonus is spitting out an error 503 on website, unable to handle request... I'd say they are being SWAMPED!.
  12. Quick... grab that golden fiddle!!
  13. @AndyB01 Hi Andy, Thank you :). I had given up on getting an answer almost. I figured someone here would have dealt with them. I have all high end newer gear external wise. I just don’t want to shell out based on hype. Good service is always a great start :). Cheers, Tony
  14. I used to set up a side chain to control my reverb, particularly on vocals, Nimbus eliminates that need with amazing sound and style. Simple to use, complex to use really well I am sure. The preset list is EPIC!!!.
  15. Hi All, I'm sure we've all been coping differently in the new world we find ourselves.. My Wife's company asked if she would organise concerts for them once a month we decided we could handle... sure... Anyway, this was my entry this month. I apologise to Sir Tom, real brass players, drummers bass guitarist and video professionals Tony
  16. Hi All, I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience, owns, knows someone who does, a Scan made PC (Here in the UK). I see Dr Mix has one of the high end ones made specifically for him. After agonising over getting the new Mac Pro or not. I am settling into the idea of going PC again, BUT, I really do want one that I can rely on. I do also want to be able to dual purpose it, two different accounts, one for music, other for my gaming. I've seen newer video cards that don't run the fan for example unless it reaches over 50C, which wouldn't happen in the DAW of course. This is the spec I am considering. https://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/shared/074355b2-3b5a-49d3-ac4e-673240aca375?utm_source=3xsconfigshare&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=copypaste Cheers, Tony
  17. Nimbus was too expensive when I got Phoenix. This is a very worthwhile upgrade, and yes I have lots of other reverbs too LOL.
