  1. I was also thinking that might work.
  2. You could also get this library in Kontakt format.
  3. I know it is an inconvenience! Me too, but you can also click the folder mute and the solo buttons, then unmute what you want to here.
  4. Sounds like you got a nice collection of stuff going on!! The only thing I can say about FL Studio is that it is fun playing with the loops and beats and trying stuff out. This can also be done in Matrix (built into cakewalk) as well. You CAN do crazy stuff like un like the 2 then set FL for 3/4 and have Cake @4/4. Or even stranger combos. I don't think you can do this with Matrix.
  5. I use these with my iphone and ipad. Very easy and free. https://www.realvnc.com/en/connect/download/vnc/ https://www.realvnc.com/en/connect/download/viewer/ With a good WIFI signal it is very quick. I don't do envelopes/faders recording with it so I really don't know if it is fast enough for that. Start Stop Rewind add - delete tracks and all this type of stuff is easy.
  6. I would not just buy FL for instruments. I would get Kontakt some sounds and Stylus RMX for other sounds, or Omnisphere for a MEGA load of sounds. I just have the middle version of FL and don't use it for the Synths. The higher end version FL has a lot of Synths. What kind of sounds were you looking for?
  7. 1) Make a marker where the audio should stop. 2) Stretch out the Back track as far as you need (if you very far it is going to sound odd) 3) Record Guitar Audio Track 4) Click the end of both the Back and the new Guitar. Ctrl-Drag/Slide to the left till you reach the original time point marker
  8. All midi VSTi's are not created the same! I was using Trillion last night MIDI volume has no effect on it. Velocity changes between 4 sample sets no variation. It just jumps to the next set. CC11 has volume change. The only volume control is in the audio out. and CC11 What will you use to play your sound fonts through? EDIT-> Did you read about CSMultiCompander? Also Cakewalk MIDI Velocity has volume scale % (like add 10%) https://viramor.com/
  9. Frontier Tranzport and VNC to iPhone or tablet. With a phone or tablet you can zoom in. To make a giant transport.
  10. Wow Bose! I like the -> https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/BAFE6A25-DC5E-41EB-83DD-773476182472?pd_rd_w=TCLqz&pf_rd_p=a5ebe791-10e2-4f82-8145-ffb07018a008&pd_rd_wg=uz3aS&pf_rd_r=K8TPR36P46ZQ35JVG8X3&pd_rd_r=38c5b950-1df8-4790-9ca6-236b0073fe68&store_ref=storeRecs_dp_1&ref_=ast_dpem_2 What's next?

Wow great combinations of plugins. The masking is very slight mostly low mids in solo voices . Nothing to worry about. Track spacer is an automatic 32 band side chain compressor -> https://www.wavesfactory.com/trackspacer/ You have to be careful and just add a little or it will mess with the overall EQ and trash your track. @1:16-1:26 the flute is softer but the guitar is still the same volume it has been. @1:39 the flute is back up and clear. You might be able to use automation on a side chain to pick those softer sections and pull the 2K-~6-8K back on the guitar and up on the flute for clarity. Not sure exactly. You could try the demo on Trackspacer. You would have to play with the EQ of a regular sidechain to find the frequencies.
  12. When you said 10 Envelopes I was thinking 10 tracks. It works the same on a single track with 10 envelopes. This works with multiple clips and multiple volume envelopes in the same track. Set the edit filter to Volume Click 3 times on the track number CTRL Drag from anywhere - all nodes move the direction you choose. Hold CTRL- locks volume up or down Shift-locks left and right for timing shifts. If you need more volume than the Midi allows - You have two choices 1 You can lower everything else (An master/extra volume here would be nice) 2 Just use the Synth Audio out volume. ++++++++++++It would be nice to have a volume in the console that would change all the volume envelopes ++++++++++++or be a master type midi volume but that is where we have to use the synth audio out. VSTi's already always have 4 volume controls and can have possible 5 or more! A sample Violin track (Just assume I have 4 violin voices I am working with) Midi volume Midi Velocity (I know not exactly volume on better VSTi's) Synth Audio Volume Synth Audio Gain (more) #5 Group 1 Violin Bus Volume and Gain->String Bus #6 Group 2 String Bus Volume and Gain-> Music Bus #7 Music bus to Volume and Gain->Master Bus This is 10 volumes and not an uncommon arrangement. Is that what you are talking about? Or can you give and example or show what you would need another volume so I can understand?
  13. You can already select multiple midi tracks and by click - dragging the numbers in the track view. While they are highlighted hold down the CTRL key and change the Velocity or any parameter and they will all change. 3. On an organ patch, which is not velocity sensitive, it would have no effect at all. 4. It is a duplication of +velocity, and thereby wasted and confusing to the user No - > On a good organ patch the tube drive should change the tone to a more overdriven sound as the velocity is changed. There is a great plugin I use for getting piano and other tones just right. Two actually CSMultiCompander and MidiEQ https://viramor.com/ You will love the control of the tone with CSMulticompander!

Very nice. What is that? A guitar, a harpsicord, a harpsiguitar?? What are you using for the sounds? I really like the reverb on the guitar-harpsicord/guitar??. Does the guitar have a very short delay? In some ranges of the violin the guitar mask the volume and clarity. Don't know if you have track spacer?? It would work great because is would only compress what needed to be compressed. It would leave those great guitar transients sharp and clear. Any kind of sidechain would help, or if you already have one set up up it a db or 2. Very nice piece. Bell is a little loud at end. It seems small if it was to be a ships bell.
  15. Well - Getting that same error again. Don't know what it is. I still have an unanswered ticket in with Lexicon. I will place on Cakewalk tonight also. I thought I had it figured out! Oh well- Any more ideas? Edit -> Reinstallled PCM Effects - Working again. I guess I have to write a batch file to start Cakewalk which would include reinstalling PCM Effects before starting Cakewalk.
  16. Nathan - Why isn't there a full sized audio wave editor? Max - You can even use Audacity to edit your audio in Cakewalk if you want. That way you will have less to lean. There is an app to make it easy to add editors to Cakewalk. Both ways to add them are in the info file. My choice is SCook's tool. I have RX and Sound Forge set up thanks to SCook!. You can add Editors with this app -> (written by SCook ) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-HI4FV99Vq6ZlFfdE90Rm85NHc Reading Info Here -> http://forum.cakewalk.com/Adding-programs-to-the-SONAR-Utilities-Menu-a-new-tool-Updated-for-CbB-m3237117.aspx
  17. I don't think most people would not want to set to many notes the same volume. It is more natural to have variations in the velocities. I change multiple notes volume by -> Marquise the notes to changed (Smart tool right click and drag) Move cursor to any note in the group As you move near the top-center of that note the cursor will change to a 5 bars upside down "V" shaped cursor. Click and hold down the mouse - while holding down move up for louder and down for softer - You will see the velocity bars change as you move. or Select notes (Smart tool right click and - Marquise select them) - look on menu for Process \ Scale Velocity. You can do %'s or fixed amounts.
  18. I didn't like the "cakewalk" key assignments so I have a strip from some post-it notes taped above my f keys - and it says - F9 Begining F10 Now F11 Through F12 End (I usually click the track number 3x to be sure it is selected) I programmed them in shortcuts. It was easy to do.
  19. Autosave has been redone a little - I think 2 versions back. It has higher priority or something like that now. It seems to be way more reliable now. That being said I just noticed a song I have been working on a while is {Song name - }312.cwp!! My history list. Sometimes you just have to go back and copy one track from an old er version. These backups have saved me countless times. Too much time lost if you don't save save save!
  20. While working on your list I found the answer. Somewhere in Lexicon PCM Effects. Registry entries are hard coded for "their" default location. Installing at other locations will some how throw off the code that looks for pace. I have been trying to keep the ectra VST installation folder to a minimum. Common files -VST32 VST2(for 64 bit) and VST3 . I guess I reinstalled ten in another directory. BNut still....???.... Why was Cakewalk the only one that triggered that error?? Thanks for all the info. I had already done most of it but just going back through your list of possibilities helped me to figure it out. If the others would have error-ed out I think I would have found it sooner.
  21. What if I told you it works in Samplitude, Reaper, Vegas video, FL Studio 20.7, Cantabile 3, Blue Cat patchwork’s, Finale25.5, And BIAB 2020 but errors out in BL cakewalk? I could test more but I have always thought it might be in cakewalk. What do you think now?
  22. I have run fl studio as vstij since V4. I just updated to version 20.7 I think. It has always worked fair inside sonar. I have not had much Time in Bandlab cakewalk. I’ll let you know.
  23. PCM Effects works in Samplitude. Haven't tried Reaper yet. I think it is a Cakewalk error some how. Why would it work in Samplitude? I did reinstall the software. I will try to activate and deactivate my license to see if that helps. Edit -> I tried to opening the iLok software and logging in again. Then I tried to log in and just leave the ilok software open. Neither worked.
