It's ALL to do with the Theme Editor for the simple reason that the graphics are drawn in a totally different way.

But if you're getting errors and 32 bit plugins failing to load then it's NOT a winning team is it. In your shoes I would definitely be looking at 64 bit equivalents and ditching 32 bit for good.
