Using The Old Track Manager In Paid Sonar
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Tommy Byrnes's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
There is an option to save & load presets in the new TM. Worth checking out. -
Sounds like it's possibly a bad cable in your output chain. Check them all.

I'm stuck with Win 10 because my pc fails the Microsoft test for upgrading to Win 11 If there ever comes a time when Sonar will only run on Win 11, then I am royally stuffed. Updating my hardware is not an option as I'm now retired with only a small pension.

Yes it does -
Exactly how I do it with BFD.

Using the internal mixer in AD2 is the one case where this makes sense. But you are still only using one instance of AD2 and you are able to process the audio channels independently of each other, just like routing them into Sonar tracks. I could do exactly the same with BFD but I choose to use Sonar for all mixing duties - it just seems more logical to me.

Why are you using a separate synth for each drum? Addictive Drums 2 has a total of 14 audio mixer channels, consisting of 10 mono channels and 4 stereo channels. Specifically, it includes 10 mono channels for individual drum sounds (kick, snare, hi-hat, etc.), 2 stereo channels for overhead and room mics, 1 stereo bus channel, and 1 stereo master channel. Each and all of these channels can and should be routed to individual audio tracks in Sonar, all being fed by a single Midi track.

The transition between fades isn't smooth during playback

Agree totally. It seems like a guaranteed recipe for disaster -

This is totally unrelated to your original post. I'd start a new topic if I were you. -

Slip edit with snap off during playback
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Giorgio Gabriel's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I know this isn't the answer you want, but personally, I'd never try to slip edit with the transport running. Just my 2 pence/cents -
According to my spreadsheet, TTS-1 was shipped with every version of Sonar from 8 through to Platinum. So if you need it, use Platinum if you've got it and work your old projects from there. BUT - it should work in New Sonar, as it does for me. It just isn't bundled anymore.

This for me has to be the way forward. When I want to edit the Midi, it makes total sense to edit a given event in context with all the others. For this reason I keep all my midi drum hits on the same Midi track

how do I know when my activation runs out?
Bristol_Jonesey replied to charles kasler's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Provided you haven't done anything daft like uninstall CbB, AND you've pointed the scanner in Sonar to the same paths then you should be good to go. You might want to do a reset & rescan and check for excluded plugins -
Did you try my method?
-
TTS-1 definitely DID run on CbB

What the hell? My post needs to be approved by a moderator? What's going on?

You've got the cursor in the wrong position. Put it towards the top of the clip as shown below, then you can drag the highlighted section up/down
