Using Sonar for recording and playback
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Forlænget Spilletid's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
No. Where are the OUTPUTS of your tracks being routed. First step to analyse this sort of problem is to eliminate you mixer from the equation. Have you routed them to your master output or straight to the main outs? What are the fader levels on your mains? -
core gate "Pops and crackles" in the Core Gate in Sonar?
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Edward Allen's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I don't have the Nova on my system so naturally, these were disabled during playback. -
Using Sonar for recording and playback
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Forlænget Spilletid's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
What do you mean by "all tracks are coming back with a LOT more input."? Do you mean they appear louder than you were expecting? Because the levels as shown above seem a bit on the low side. Also, I would switch off all of those record enableds before playing back -
core gate "Pops and crackles" in the Core Gate in Sonar?
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Edward Allen's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I left the gate controls exactly who you had them set. By monitoring chain, I mean how are your sounds getting from Sonar to the outside world? What are you using for an interface What driver mode are you using Are you using headphones or studio monitors What Fx are on your master buss -
core gate "Pops and crackles" in the Core Gate in Sonar?
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Edward Allen's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I've downloaded all your files and cannot a hear a single snap or pop on any of the tom tracks, with or without the gate switched on for each tom. So the question is, what is your monitoring chain? -
[Solved] Cakewalk Sonar Bus Plugin Sound Difference

Have you got Kontakt in a directory that is being scanned by Sonar? Have you scanned for plugins?
-
This is highly unusual and is not being reported by anyone else Please provide a screenshot of your export settings and also give us your full computer specs, including interface & driver
-
What driver are you using for the MOTU?
-
The keyboard shortcut to toggle snap on/off is N
-
How are you doing this? Are you directing the track Outputs to the bus or are you using Sends? Using the track output should always respect any levels set by a volume envelope Have you got Global Read Automation switched on in the control bar?

You don't say what interface you're using. This information could be crucial in determining the way forward for you You access the registry editor by typing Regedit in the Windows search box at the bottom left of your screen. But be VERY careful if you're new to editing the registry. Before you make ANY changes to it, back it up in case things go awry.

play doesn't stop at end of project
Bristol_Jonesey replied to charles kasler's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Hit Ctrl + End. This will take you to where Sonar thinks the end of the project is. If it's later in the timeline than you expect, then there will always be something "out there" causing this. -
Same suggestion as above. Email support@cakewalk.com

Or revert to a previous version, such as Platinum or X3 etc. But it you've never owned a previous version, then that option is also out. -
Problem using Cakewalk and Tascam US 16x08 under Windows 11

Tough luck. You're on borrowed time as it is. You don't have much time left before reactivation will no longer be possible. -
Er, yes it is. Where it's always been. In the Transport Module.
