  1. This is the better of the two SVX collections for AmpliTube, as it includes the SVX-15N in both 1964 and 1966 versions. I have no regrets paying for it way back when. But free? If you don't have AmpliTube, this is a no-brainer reason to d/l the free version.
  2. I bought my first license when Reaper was in v4, so it was good through 5.99. I bought a new license for v6/v7. I expect that to be good for at least 2 more years. Maybe longer.
  3. I'm sure Kenny Gioia will have a tutorial on the new comping features on his Reaper Mania YT channel in the not too distant future. You could always PM him or contact him via his Kenny Mania website and ask for it specifically.
  4. Thanks for this link! As I mentioned above, I uninstalled KK v2. I have a Mk II S61, and should I ever "need" KK for some reason, I'll have the latest v2 installer. 👍
  5. I have an NI S61 Mk II, but never got on with KK, so stopped trying to use it. I just uninstalled it and the two drivers.
  6. Rocksed, you don't have to put on the red light Those days are over You don't have to sell your software to the night
  7. Same here. Win11 Pro. I also just tried running it as Admin. That didn't help. And why oh why did N.A. give me two fail messages and two update-on-restart messages. Sigh.
  8. Perfect timing. I've been waiting for a couple of months to pick up his new preset pack for Cherry Audio's Sines synth. I also picked up the Old School Colors and Nostalgic Circuits packs for Diva. Nice! Thanks for the heads-up, @SmokeyJ628.
  9. I just installed this library. What I've listened to so far sounds gorgeous. Really lovely organic soundscapes. Almost all patches have parameters mapped to the Macro knobs and the Mod wheel, and they're automatable. Very nice. I don't have Omnisphere, so I haven't worked with the original release, but the extensions for the SE version for Unify are extensive. It's not small (about 4.5 GB to download (3 .zip files)), but I still have about 400 GB free on my 2 TB sample drive, so it caused me no concern.
  10. Purchased and installed. A bunch of great sounding sequences.

  12. Not posted yet on the AAS website. I'll wait.
  13. Does it do anything for the bloody awful update installation times? The Arturia Software Center has the same problem with installation times. Sheesh.
  14. If anyone is interested, I saved all of those steps to a Word .docx file and attached it for your convenience. How to fix long load time for Kontakt.docx
  15. I'm on the latest version of Win11 Pro. Both the MS GS MIDI Synth and all four channels of Virtual MIDISynth show up in Gig Performer, Reaper and Band in a Box. Studio One Pro doesn't seem to have a MIDI player option, so neither show up there. But, VirtualMIDISynth runs great under Win11.
  16. I had a Camtasia license back for v1 and v2 (late '90s). It got expensive even back then. I sat on v2 for a long time, until more proficient video editors came along. No going back for me, not even for a buck 21.
  17. There are 3 versions available: 1) VST/VST3, 2) full Kontakt 5, and 3) Decent Sampler. If you aren't aware of the free Decent Sampler, you should be. Check it out at: Decent Sampler (free)
  18. This is a free plugin if you select $0, which I did. After giving my email address (presumably for marketing offers for their paid libraries (not mentioned, but should have been)), I was taken directly to the download page. No interaction with Gumroad required. People making a non-zero donation likely will have to deal with Gumroad. In situations like this, I prefer to test the instrument or library first. If I like it and find it useful in my work, I go back and make a donation. I think of it as the "shareware" approach.
  19. 1967. 4 piece H.S. cover band. $125/gig. $25 to each of the 4 members, and $25 to common gear like mics and stands and cables and PA. I bought a used late '64 black face Fender Bassman, a used '63 Fender Jazz and a used Farfisa Mini with my gig money, gas station and Burger Chef jobs. The wonderful life of a wanna be musician. That $25 wouldn't buy doodly squat now. Now, it's all about EXPOSURE!

SPlat. The sound heard 'round the world. SPlat went splat all of about 6 months after I bought a lifetime license. I forgot to read the fine print: "Lifetime of a mayfly*." * Mayfly lifespan: 24 hours, the shortest of any insect in the world.

I pay 69 € per year. I chose to do that instead of buying permanent licenses, because: 1) they're expensive, 2) updates to new major versions are NOT included and 3) I use the included Android versions occasionally.

  23. There's now a v7 of Guitar Rig? I have v5 and v6. Nary a peep from NI to me re v7. Guess I'll have to do the legwork myself.
