Yes, I shot the video footage last fall and unfortunately didn't get enough correct footage for the guitar solo, so I kind of piecemealed the clips together to make it work as best I could. 6. Hey Wayne, Absolutely killer video, brother!😀 Fantastic tasty playing and beautiful melodies, combined with dynamite guitar tone and articulation. And, the video was cool and fun to watch. I also agree with the little bit of dialog at the end. For me, "It's always a beautiful day to play guitar"! Your video for "I Still Feel Twenty Five", that came after it, was also really excellent. On top of being a great guitar player, you've got a spectacular voice for both Country and Rock. LOL, I loved the chick's legs sticking out from under the SSL console! Your "Locomotive Breath" cover was really well done too, lots of tasty musicianship and cool video effects! Tons of cool videos on your channel, I'll definitely be checking out more.👍 Excellent stuff, Wayne, thanks or sharing. Have a good one! Bob

  8. Hey, Daryl, How are you, buddy? It's really great to hear a tasty new Staypress song!😀 This is a cool, fresh sounding Pop rocker with clever, trendy lyrics, excellent playing, and you and the "current Mrs." did a fantastic job on the great vocals and harmonies! I also really love both the funky and distorted guitar parts, and how the combination really adds to the drive and energy of the song as it moves forward. Excellent addition to the Staypress vault of gems, Daryl, very nice work!👍 Have a good one! Bob
  9. Hey, Paul, It's really great to hear a new one from you!😀 This is a very cool, modern sounding pop song with great vocals and harmonies, excellent instrumental performances, and a nice clean, fresh sounding mix! Nice work, Paul, really good stuff!👍 Have a good one! Bob
  10. Hey, Freddy, How are you, buddy? Hope you're doing great!😀 This is a spectacular stripped down Classic Blues number that really shows off your great guitar and harmonica playing, and the vocals on this are pure dynamite! Excellent writing and lyrics that are perfect for the genre, and the bare bones recording style really shines through the crystal clear, pro sounding mix! It made me imagine being in a smoky, back alley blues club, sitting at a small table and having a bourbon on the rocks! I really love it when a song transforms you to a different place in your mind or memory, it's the thing I like best about all music!😀 Well done, Freddy, Fantastic stuff!👍 Have a great week, buddy! Bob
  11. Hi, Steve, This is a very intriguing, somber and heart-wrenching song that's well written and performed, and the sparse arrangement adds to the over all emotional effect of the song.👍 Nice choice of synths, and the mix sounds right on the money for the genre. For some reason, the vocal sort of reminds me of early Genesis, which is meant as a compliment. Cool stuff, Steve, have a good one!😀 Bob
  12. Hi, Bjorn, This video is absolutely fantastic! Really cool visuals, and it sure looks like you had a great trip!😀 You really got some great shots and footage, and the backing soundtrack was a perfect fit for the video. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law spent two weeks on vacation in Kenya and Uganda last year and loved every minute of it, and want to go back, so I'm sure you enjoyed your trip. Excellent video, Bjorn, thanks for sharing!👍 Bob

    Lonely Walk

Hi, Gary, This is a really beautiful somber piece of music with a classic cinematic vibe and lots of interesting textures and elements as it builds forward!😀 Well written, played and orchestrated, and the mix sounds subtle and fits the feel of the song very well. I can easily imagine hearing this as a backing track to a dramatic movie or documentary! Excellent work, my friend!👍 Have a good one, Gary! Bob
  17. Hey, Reece, Another excellent job by the SG crew!😀 Good songwriting, great message and arrangement, stellar performances by all three of you, and your vocals were pure dynamite! Your vocals have been getting better and better over the years, Reece. I think this is definitely my new favorite from you guys! Super job, boys, always good to hear a new one from you, Mike and Sean!👍 Have a good one, Bob
  18. Hi, Nice job on this Classic Blues cover and really cool video!👍 Great instrumental performances, everybody did an excellent job on their parts. The outstanding vocals and tasty guitar playing put the icing on the cake! It looks like you all had a good time putting together the video, too! I really liked the quad split-screen effect, very talented family, my friend! Really good stuff, looking forward to hearing more!😀 Have a good one! Bob
  19. emeraldsoul: Hey, Tom, how are you, brother? Hope you're doing great! Thanks for having a look and listen to the video for me, and for the encouraging comments! Greatly appreciated! I always look forward to your good input and observations on my stuff!👍 Yes, Sir, the pause near 1:41 is intentional. I always try to change things up a little on my stuff with weird little pauses, breaks, and beat changes, kind of like throwing a monkey wrench into the gears, LOL!😁 Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I just wanted to feature the tiny bass break before the second verse to add some dynamic contrast. LOL, I'm a strange dude!😀 Thanks again for checking it out and commenting, that's what makes this place a great resource! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, buddy! Bob
  20. New Video - "Unchained" (Rock) Hi, Guys, Last week I finally got some time to finish up and post a new video for the song "Unchained" from my last album. A lot of you guys from the old forum probably provided helpful input on the mix of the song when I was working on it a couple years back! So, LOL, old song, new video!😀 Anyway, if you get a chance please check it out for me. Big thanks in advance, greatly appreciated!👍😀 Bob -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21. Hi, Ken, You've got a cool piece of Dark Metal here with an almost operatic vibe!🤘 Interesting lyrics and powerful metal vocals. In the intro and some other sections, the vocal style reminded me of System of a Down. James also did some really nice shredding in there, and you can't go wrong with our buddy, Ed on the bass! Nice work by all three of you, great collab!👍 Have a good one, Bob
  22. Hey, Kenny, It's really great to hear you're feeling better and cranking out some super tasty guitar playing again!👍 Is that your new Tele? The crystal clear clean tone of that Fender Super Champ is pure dynamite! You can really feel the depth of the expression in your playing in every note. Killer stuff, Kenny, keep 'em coming, buddy!😀 Have a great weekend! Bob
  23. Hey, Douglas, This is a really cool song with a vintage late 60's psychedelic vibe! It kind of reminds me of something by Donovan. Good songwriting and concept, great vocals and BGVs and a nice clean mix. Yep, I think Tom's right about the slightly over-flanged guitar, but it really isn't that noticeable except on certain notes during the flute melody lines, especially the notes that hold. Come to think of it, I remember on the old forum, a lot of discussion about Dim Pro always being slightly out of tune, so an easy fix might be to send the midi to another flute synth to see if it's more in tune. It could just be Dim Pro slightly out, clashing with the flanged guitar. Either way, cool song with a classic flavor!😀 "The Gentle Hours of Evening" that comes after it on Soundclick is fantastic, definitely one of my favorites of yours!👍 Have a good one, Douglas! Bob
  24. Hi, Guys, I just uploaded Mix#3 with all the suggested fixes/changes, hopefully I'm getting this closer to where it should be. Sincere thanks to everybody who listened and offered input, suggestions and observations! That's what's going to make this place get back to the "Glory Days", like on the old forum!👍 Thanks again, and have a good one!😀 Bob
  25. Douglas Kirby: Hey, Douglas, how are you, buddy? Hope you're doing great!😀 Thank you very much for taking time to check this out for me, and for the very encouraging comments!
