  1. Something very helpful to call out about Overloud GEM plugins (beside that they each sound great) is that compared to other plug-in makers of the same kind of effect the Overloud GEMs do not take up much CPU. I’ve compared side by side many of these. The GEM plugins do not even show a blip against the CPU. Other plug-in makers with comparable plugs for the same effect each take up different and quite visible hits on the CPU. So, Overloud plugs are really advantageous. And, Overloud does not charge for updates.
  2. I use this one a lot. Great deal for anyone that doesn’t have it yet.
  3. $19 at the moment. Maybe later on sale for less. Howard always adds choice new presets to the palette of Spire.
  4. I always liked the focusing equalizer in this pack.
  5. @Niky Serrano that worked at Plug-in Boutique. Thanks!
  6. The code appears to not be working anymore, unless there’s something else to know.
  7. Adding one YouTube clip of the many out there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_km5nBolXk
  8. That’s a miscalculation in my view. 1. When you buy any of these you get updates without any further charge. But that’s small compared to…. The big one! 2. The big one! All of these GEM plugins not only sound great. The most winning feature for all of them is low CPU usage. Which is a big deal! I’ve cross tested for example LA2As on the same track (well, duplicates of the same track) and on each track put different versions of LA2As. Waves, Softube, IK Multimedia, Native Instruments, UVI, Black Rooster and so on. Then looked at the CPU hit for each. They all differed (with some taking up considerable CPU). Overloud effects, including the LA2A, don’t even show a blip on CPU usage. Like nada. Same for the rest of them. Another example is the Overloud Tape. All the other suppliers use up a bunch of CPU. If a song already has a lot going on you might choose not to even use that vendor’s tape plug because it’s the last straw before the song starts to hang from lack of CPU. But not Overloud’s Tape. Not noticeable at all on CPU usage. And it sounds great. In terms of value, if you think of all the time you might spend wrangling with effects to choose the right ones not to cripple your songs by lack of CPU cycles - that can add up to a lot of wasted time (and time is money as they say) - using Overloud effects will save huge amounts of time when mixing because of not hitting CPU limits - and all the Overloud GEM plugs sound great. There - I said it - I fully endorse Overloud GEM effects. If you’re looking for a deal - look into them now while the sale goes on for a few more days. Free trials for all of them. Plenty of vids on YouTube demonstrating their sound capabilities. The real deal.
  9. Great you’re back Larry! Had us worried for a bit!
  10. Patience rewarded! The wise man was right!
  11. I’m thinking the ordering and installing process has to be better at this point. I bought the Korg Collection 2 a couple years ago. I’m still traumatized to this day from the experience. Multiple confusing steps to place an order - then after ordering that led to needing to register at another site. Once putting codes at the other site it was confusing about getting the products. Once downloaded there were some legacy products that didn’t work and I needed to download some third-party wrapper tool to allow them to read as VSTs. I got it to work after all that. But I’m queasy about updating. Maybe Korg Collection 5!
  12. It sounds good as a preamp on an electric guitar track I’ve tested. I prefer it added to the track versus not being there. Makes a positive difference for the better on this track.
  13. The Doors had no bass player for years. They just had Ray playing the bass line on the keys. Bit, you're pretty handy with the VST guitars, maybe you could get away with it!
  14. The code did not work - I guess because I'm a new visitor to the site.
  15. I will use that code! Appreciated! The Gemini sounds great!
  16. Coincidence! I had just bumped into this guy Terry Beckley's channel on YouTube and admired the clip below. He is using a free ML Sound Lab amp in this clip. I had never heard of ML Sound Lab. So, now I'm going to take a look at the above amp. Already grabbed the free one shown in the clip below. Getting a Pop Punk Guitar Tone from This Free Amp Sim
  17. Same thing for me - Native Access now runs quickly - AND!!! Kontakt 7 now loads for me (stand-alone) within 2 mins! (previous to this release it took almost an hour to load). I'm quite pleased!
  18. Check in with Kolby (or Tony) as mentioned above. If you ask them, they might come back with an attractive price for you to consider.
  19. You won't regret it! I made a similar upgrade years ago. WUP is currently maxed at $240 per year for everything you own of Waves - but you can get that reduced of course by not renewing every year, you can skip years. And every year several times they offer 25% off WUP so that's the time to renew when doing so. There are usually a few new products added each year that get included in Mercury. Given the amount of tools included with ongoing updates it feels quite fair and the breadth of tools continually keep coming in handy.
  20. I’ve been using EPIC 7 for what seems a couple months. They typically don’t announce version updates but I’ve noted the version number go slightly higher every several weeks. I guess they feel it’s stable enough to announce now.
  21. You might try one - the Martin acoustic is an excellent starting point. Just to get the hang of it. Some excellent step by step info on how to use these is on YouTube. Very good sound!
  22. I agree this is a clear sign that is near. Not sure about a couple weeks near, but we can expect it coming up.
