  1. See Page 3. Peter's last post there: "Update - if you send me your username (or open/reply to your support ticket) I believe there's a workaround/solution for the modules being greyed out and we can get you up and running. Thanks!"
  2. I was in a Harbor Freight store the other day and saw that they had Apache cases for very reasonable prices. Might be worth a look. HF Apache Cases
  3. Interesting, but for MAC only. UnInterested. 😊
  4. Naw, you still have nearly everything (all but Chiccerelli for me). Just don't go back and add up the money you've spent at IK over the past decade (for me at least) and you'll feel much better (than if you did!!)
  5. Yes, in the cart at $179.10. Now, if I just had $179.10!
  6. I think it's exciting and an impressive list containing the likes of these companies. I'd like to see as well iZotope & Waves give a look. Only downside I can see, like others have stated, is the horrible naming.

    2B Controlled 2.0

Considering the ongoing 2C row, I guess that answers the age-old question "2B or not 2B?"

    Dear VR Updates

Thanks ALC, guess the License Manager isn't to good at including the most recently available version i.e. 1.7.1 & 1.10.0. Mine remained at 1.4.1. However, after downloading the single plugin license and running it manually, it did update to the most recently available at PA.

    Dear VR Updates

Well, I'm now confused. I just two days ago ran the Installation Manager and updated/reinstalled all of my plugins including VR dearVR PRO. When I hover over the plugin's GUI it shows Version 1.4.1 (Dec 03, 2019)? Choosing the ? icon doesn't help and just takes you to the product pages.
  10. Yep, mine is too and could certainly add to the problem but I typically don't have that with other installers. Thanks for the nod to the verb updates!
  11. Ugh, hate the portal as it won't continue downloads it starts. I ended up with 18 partial download files because it kept stopping, "Awkward!" and restarting started over completely. Finally had to go to the Legacy section of my account and download Neutron 3 Advanced manually which was slow and was interrupted a couple of times but completed fully.
  12. Guess it is time to invest in an iLok 2 version. My two plugs, Drawmer S73 & Dirty Tape won't activate without it. EDIT: doh, I've got these two licensed to my computer. Still, at some point iLok 2 will probably have to happen.
  13. ...meaning I only have ten years left?? Not sure if that's good or bad LOL
  14. Yep, a bit disappointed that I didn't have a download waiting this morning - oh well, something to look forward to this evening! 😃
  15. Wait till you download GS-V - comes in at 31GB? Ugh. Same as others, I'm in for the 11 synths. EDIT: a total of 111 GBs
  16. If, like me, you're not familiar, check out this tutorial.
  17. Just as an aside: I was curious as to where the sounds were stored and the setting for downloads wasn't clear on that fact. However, it really works rather well. Just change the download location under Settings and all the work is done for you - it's automatically moved and set. Nice!
  18. While that is one way, you can also either logout or just quit the Portal which removes it from the task manager. EDIT: then again, I just realized the point was the Portal running automatically when using Capsule but the same happens when you run the Portal unless you.... :))
  19. Maybe I'm missing the intent, but I rarely use the "Installation Manager." I have before but only when there is a mass update. All I do is go to my products and download the plugin installer for the plug I need/want, unzip it and run the executable. I usually open up Reaper (because it's the quickest DAW to open), instantiate the new plug, it requests activation, I click Online ('cause I'm still online at that point), it activates and works from there on out. AFAIK, the manager is not required.
  20. I can't recommend Jim Rosebury at StudioCat.com highly enough. He builds three models that you can customize. Maybe a bit pricey but the support is PRICELESS
  21. Thanks Bit, good reminder! I only had a little over 100MB in the folder you alluded to. However, I did find a couple of GB in Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins. Steinberg is another irritant, but I usually stay aware to the suggested paths when installing plugs but as mentioned, Avid and sometimes Steinberg ignores those preferences.
  22. Wish it was clearer! My upgrade offer is $249 and I already have Analog 4 & V as well as sundry bits & packs. The V Collection site shows 28 included instruments:
  23. Yeah, because they are digital cameras - what's an "f-stop?"
