  1. Is this one of those “First Rule of Fight Club” things?
  2. Very unlikely to ever happen. Being able to see the tempo changes chronologically in lie with the clips in the track view is so much easier.
  3. That is weird...... With latest version of Cakewalk by Bandlab? (2022.11 Biuld 21) I am assuming you have tried undocking the event list window.... Maybe drop a note to Cakewalk support. https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000025633

    TOOLS TAB LOST

    What do you mean? Screenshot?
  5. What happens if you exit Cakewalk and rename your AUD.ini file and then restart Cakewalk. That file will be rebuilt. This file is in this location "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core"
  6. What audio interface are you using? Did you change the buffer size in Cakewalk or did you use the control software that came with your audio interface?
  7. Update to Cakewalk by Bandlab. That allows installation of the theme editor.
  8. I definitely did not lift my skirt......
  9. Getting a JavaScript error could indicate a PC issue that is preventing the IKM installers from completing the installs. By all means open an IKM support ticket. While you wait, here are a few things to try. Are you attempting the install via the IKM product manager. Wwhat is the exact JavaScript error message. Have you googled the textual contents of that message. Does it include the text “operation not permitted”. Maybe try changing the download location folder in the settings in the IKM Product Manager. What happens if you download one of your products manually from your IKM product area and install manually? Note: This is how I do IKM installs - much more reliable than IKM product manager (for me anyway)
  10. Sorry I don’t understand the question. What is a “cakewalk INS instrument”. There are Cakewalk INS files which are Instrument Definition files that are used with Cakewalk external equipment. Did something get lost in translation perhaps?
  11. Do you get better results if you enable input quantise?
  12. Try disabling your antivirus software. Also try updating the Vdist runtimes..... (or even uninstalling and reinstalling) Then uninstalling and reinstalling CbB
  13. Nothing, or did it crash with an error message? Is there anything in the Windows Event logs (System or Application)? Is the process Cakewalk still running. Is this after a reboot. Can you try with another audio interface, cable or USB port? Maybe one of them is borked? With an audio interface that comes with native ASIO drivers, switching your Audio to ASIO should not result in Cakewalk crashing or not starting up.
  14. Is your Windows configured to view extensions? Are you absolutely sure you renamed the AUD.INI file. Have you updated all drivers for all of your hardware? (By actually going to manufacturer’s websites to manually download the latest versions)
  15. Hidden perhaps? Press H to bring up the track manager.
  16. The ytil file(s) are referenced in Engine itself. From the Engine GUI, under Preferences > Library, the path has to point to the folder containing the following folders: Config Documentation Image Files Layers The Engine 2.dll needs to be put in your vst2 folder (where all you other vst2 DLL files are).
  17. What version of Cakewalk is this?
  18. I think IKM just just rename Amplitube to Amplitude and be done with it........
  19. I tried out the demo version. Turns out I DO need another reverb.... and at $US29 - no brainer.....
  20. In Modo Bass 2, under “Play Style” turn off “Let ring” (Controlled by CC64)
  21. What one has to ask oneself, at the end of the day, does one really need another reverb?
  22. I would actually be OK with being able to edit one note at a time for Key Aftertouch Events. I think I would ever only be doing that anyway. When adding a KeyAft Events in the PRV, in the “MIDI Event Type” dialog box, you could have KeyAft as “Type” and have, “Key”, “Value” and “Channel”
  23. @msmcleodYes, what you say makes a lot of sense. PAT message would be difficult to display in a controller lane owing to the possible note values. Even with softsynths that can respond to PAT messages, a workaround could be to simply use multiple instances of a given synth if I don't want a parameter to effect all notes the same way (like the pitch bend of a Pedal Steel Guitar for instance). Another possibility is to create CAT messages and use Articulation Maps to transform them, on the fly, to PAT messages. At least doing it this way, direct editing of the CAT messages are at least possible. (Just don’t transpose the note events) Personally I think I will just use the “multiple instances of a given synth” method.
