There's not a basic volume adjustment tool in the essentials version. I have zoomed in real close and seen the blobs turn into midi note blocks like you would see in prv. I've never tried it but it might be worth a try to see if you could adjust the volume on these blocks like in prv. ms

If SI drums are installed and being scanned they should show up from the synth rack view. click add soft synth , SI drums should show up in the drums option. TTS also has drums (channel 10).

I always use sound on sound/takes on single lane/ reuse lane/ new takes on top. Never have a problem with not being able to find or edit notes that I can hear but can't see. ms

You have to send them to a synth "Before" bouncing them to one common track. They can't be converted without the synth. You would probably be better off sending all the midi tracks on separate channels to the synth. You could then make any adjustments later if you wanted to. You could then "freeze" the synth and choose "hide midi tracks" during the freeze. You will end up with a single track with all 3 midi tracks included. Easily unfreeze for adjustments. With each midi track you can adjust volume and panning before freezing. Every time I bounce to tracks I wish I wouldn't have. Can't make any changes during the final mix or mastering stages.. mark

Hello to all , the original link is now a remix. I did a Lot of work on the drums and all lower freq. Rerecorded the bass and did a small vocal boost. The vocals were cutting thru better with all the mud out of the lows even though it's still pretty bassy. Thanks for all the Great suggestions you really helped me improve this.

Brandon , I was assuming these were audio tracks. I just opened a project that only has midi using 2 different synths. I soloed both synths and went to the Tracks drop down and clicked bounce to tracks. (I'm working in the regular tracks view window) It opened a dialogue box with a destination track already chosen. All the boxes were checked for stereo , entire mix etc. Clicked bounce and the audio from both synths were merged together on the new destination track. Don't have a clue why your's isn't working .. mark

Solo the tracks you want to merge and just do a "bounce to tracks" from the "tracks" drop down. Keep and mute your original tracks if you want to make adjustments later. ms

There are a couple of free Baxter mid side eq modules you can get free and probably do the same thing Mcleod does with the channel tools (either using the gain or full spectrum eq cuts) ??

If you use the sound on sound mode it won't overwrite it.

Sorry about re-posting so quickly. To @emeraldsoul I just adjusted the eq on the sub and moved it off of the One to the Two on most of the song . "Incredible" difference. I see why I like your music You have a great set of ears and are able to feel a mix. I had a problem with the sub but couldn't put my finger on it. Thanks .. mark

I'm in the process of redoing the bass. The sub and the bass are the only things I didn't do on this mix. I've tuned the sub and turned it down , bass is coming along pretty good. I actually thought the vocals were pretty hot. I think I worry a little too much about making my vocals getting too loud. I'll try boosting them when I remix. Tom , I couldn't find anything leaning left. What I did find was that low sub located on a drum track was completely out of key with the song. I had lowered the song a half step early on and didn't think about the drum track. I just fixed it in melodyne. I think I've heard it so many times it sounded normal to me. I wouldn't have found it without you getting me to look closer at the low freq. stuff. Thanks .. mark

I keep losing the aim assist position numbers. Sometimes they'll just drop out in the middle of a project. I'm on the latest build and using None on the workspaces. Seems to be random , sometimes a project will load with or without them. Do I need to save the None workspace or create another one after choosing the position number option or do something else . Not a big problem but I edit as I record and use this a lot. Thanks .. mark

David , I pulled his vocals out of the mix and sang it myself. In this low key it was pretty easy , it's the higher ranges I've really lost a lot of vocal strength and clarity in my old age .. Thanks for the listen .. mark

Nine Inch Nails/Johnny Cash cover. I did this back in the winter for a friend who sang it for one of his own projects. I redid the vocals remixed and ran it thru Ozone. Cool ! Just saw one on craigslist for 300. I've been fighting the urge to tear down my old Aria Pro and see what's happened to the truss rod. Killer guitar I gigged with for years. Now tuned a step low , strung with silk and steel and capo'd back up because of the neck. Thumbs up to you for taking the time to extend it's life... mark

I've gone into my studio twice this week and found the power button light blinking on my Lenovo tower. When I wiggle the mouse the windows log in screen pops up. It normally logs me in automatically. I always shut down the pc when I'm thru working. Anyone have a clue why it's booting up on its own ? Should I turn off my surge protector and could it be causing it .. Poltergeist ?? mark

I've gotten some pretty cool sounds playing body slapped acoustic guitar. Reverse it , add a long reverb , bounce it , reverse it again. Guitar and slaps are normal , all the reverb is reversed. Same for drum hit or percussion. Pretty cool effect... mark

Thanks Craig , another Fantastic article , so much clearer now. But , what if you are uploading a 24 or 32 bit file to a streaming service like Sound Cloud. If you add decent dithering is it retained by them or is it redundant if they apply their own dithering. Thanks .. mark

Smooth and excellent mix! I thought the intro was fine (time wise). I agree with Lynn about the mandolin I believe it would add a nice texture and could replace the guitars in a couple of spots.. Enjoyed this Very much .. mark
