  1. Wow. Great job on the soundtrack. The future will look back on the ads of today with similar reaction. Unfortunately.
  2. Hi steve@baselines.com Thank you for listening and for your comment. I appreciate that you like the whole idea of the song, its kinda personal lyrically but it seems people can relate to the words, I had fun adding the horns and it was cool to make the song so Im glad it comes across as cool to you. Thanks again
  3. Hi daryl1968, Thank you for listening and for the feedback, glad you found it nice and quirky, maybe the quirkiness is part of the clash?
  4. Oops yes, I was looking at the wrong number when seeing the spot I mentioned, yes it is more like 2:25 sorry for the confusion. I figured it was a horn thing there maybe some technique I am not familiar with, which is many.
  5. Sounds real good ! nice playing and tune and arrangement. Nice mood. I like pancake too, the real ones and the vst. I listened a few moments to the first then when I scrolled down saw the second link, yes it does sound a bit cleaner.
  6. Hi Nigel, Thanks for listening and your feedback. Glad you like it as is! Mr P makes good productions and does offer some good suggestions and I might be doing a collaboration on this one with a male who is interested in singing it, so I think if that happens I will dub it out in some places etc. Thanks again
  7. Hi John B Thanks for listening and your feedback, always interesting to know what folks think, glad you thought it is cool!
  8. 3 months well spent. The sounds/instruments are very good choices. The mix sounds good over here. One of my songs is about a mandatory evacuation I had to do due to a nearby large wildfire threatening my area. I used actual helicopter sounds, some clips from news broadcasts etc. So I think including news and reality clips in a song is a good way to add to the authenticity and add to its meaning as you did here. Good job.
  9. Great song ! all the ppl/elements are very good and together very very good! Enjoyed it all. Personally I would like the bass up a tiny bit louder, just me.
  10. Hi jack c thanks for listening and your good job comment. I appreciate both!
  11. Hi Jesse, Thanks so much for listening and your comment ! the lyrics have a special place in my heart ha glad you enjoyed them. I had a blast with the bass and the backing vocals. If you want to know the instruments, I put what I used in the original post, if you like a mystery don't look there. I'm glad to know you enjoyed it! thanks again
  12. First it transfixes the audience then it leaves them breathless?
  13. Tribal electronic space and sexy all at once good job! In its own universe. Enjoying the rhythm and the soundscape
  14. Well I got on board and it woke me up this morning! I did enjoy it. From what little I know about rap I do get an old school vibe. It moves right along.

    A Musical?

I think this is the first song using ai vocals thats been posted here? What did you use? I did wonder how you could be auditioning for a musical and going to try to write it too. The voice I think I thought sounded least pleasing was a black male voice going very low.

    Chez Café

Re melodyne. I have version 5 and use it on everything but rarely on drums like to fix a timing issue or alter the pitch of a kick drum slightly to fit the song better. I have created new variation parts, backing vocals, guitar and bass riff changes, to lengthen notes, to change formants/tone on notes. It can definitely be used creatively as well as for corrections. Great fun!
  17. Enjoyed the frankness and freedom of the lyrics! Really nice horns. I like the changes in intensity at the different parts. Sounds a little Beatle-ish at first to me. 3:45 something maybe horns sounded a bit distorted? Or a horn sound/technique I am not familiar with? Good song, well constructed and the mix sounds very good over here. I did enjoy it.

    Chez Café

Enjoyed it and the café pic. The bass groove is nice. I had a little trouble feeling the beat at first, and maybe like about at 13 sec it seems a little timing glitch? A few places I thought I felt the bass riff shift timing wise a tiny bit. It helped me connect to the beat when the drums started. Love the guitar and how the different instruments show up at the café. If I was doing this, I would put the bass riff into melodyne and just change it a little here and there. Nice piece. Arpeggiators can be so much fun.

    A Musical?

Good luck ! I am not a musical style person but to me the voices sound good and like a musical. So thumbs up !
  20. Hi P, I appreciate your attention and enthusiasm ! Honestly I can hear you doing those lines. I thought about your comment about singing the whole way through with no break, funny I didn't even notice I did that (feedback is always so interesting). Since it was a kind of vent song for me I just kept venting without needing a break ha. Thanks again for your messages, I think you have some good ideas you offer and I will definitely keep them in mind. I am onto the instrumental for now, no singing on this one, having fun with it and enjoying not having to mess with vocals for now !
  21. Hi freddy j, Thanks for listening and leaving your feedback. Im glad to know you love it and the message, it is kinda a vent song so message heavy. Yes I had the backing vocals a little odd cause I thought they sounded interesting that way, cool thats a blues technique! My favorite instrument is electric guitar and I wanted it to be prominent for sure. I would think about the tempo if I did a big rework on this. Its a treat for me to get your feedback, thanks again !
  22. Very interesting! sounds great, unexpected changes, I like the backwardsy sounding stuff.
  23. Hi P, Wow thanks for the many production suggestions! I really enjoy your songs/productions and I get the good ideas for improvements you are sharing here. Those ten bobs had a lot to say. Yes I never stop singing ha. I really like dub reggae where things stop or come in and out, or only 2 or 3 elements play as some of your production ideas remind me of my dub days on the bass. Love the classic stuff and Gaudi productions. Sounds like you had fun messing with this vocally, and got ideas that's great. I'm glad to know you loved it, and how you think it could be more interesting production-wise. I always want to learn more. Thank you, respect, Treesha
  24. Hi Paul, thanks again! The comments and feedback really have me thinking about my lead vocals. I appreciate your feedback. Working on an instrumental now so lets see how my next singing song turns out!
  25. Hi FreeEarCandy, thanks for listening and letting me know you enjoyed it. I played reggae bass in the past with island folks and enjoy reggae but have never really made a song on my own I can call reggae but more like reggae influenced like this one. Thanks for the feedback too!
