  1. Im not familiar with that window. I will look in a bit. Can you open the browser the track view on the right, in the fx section tab, and see if they are in there ? They can be dragged from there to a tracks fx bin
  2. When you select vst and vst 3 in the left box do the plugins you installed show up in the list that appears in the box to the right of it? (Depending on what you installed) This is where i would check to see if my installation worked. Also in the browser. Im not familiar with the folder list on the far right. if you post what you see on the cakewalk site that you can’t find maybe someone can tell you how to get there I don’t think you have to buy anything to insert multiple fx, i do it all the time, can also be done in pro channel
  3. Are they showing up in the cakewalk plugin manager utility? Or in the fx browser? Just to see if they were successfully installed
  4. Are you using free cakewalk by bandlab version or a previous version you paid for?

    Save or Save As

I always use save as and save the newest version only on my computer and the numerous ones i have saved as on an external drive. I like save as because it does keep everything in one place and sometimes i have opened a project to find audio missing dialogue box for some unknown reason so i have its duplicate. I also have at times needed to go back some versions backwards because over time i decide the first bass part was better after all. Then when its all said and done i delete the files off the drive and clean audio folder. Ive made some mistakes or changes of mind that make me glad i did save as quite a few times. I use the date for the name. Just how i have done it for a long time now.
  6. This was over in the tutorial forum. Helpful when I got Kontakt. There are some other ones on youtube if you search there.
  7. Good song, important stuff, everything sounds good, enjoyed it. If I was mixing this, I would turn the vocals up a little bit, you have a nice deep voice and also a teeny bit brighter. The words are important so yeah, just a little more vocals but they are fine as they are for sure. I expect I have a quarantine song somewhere waiting to be made, I have one called Now Lie in It on my bandcamp from a little while back when lies seemed to be becoming so engrained.
  8. Enjoyed it. Especially like when that deep low part comes in. It sounds great over here. Sounds balanced and clear. If I were going to change anything about it, I would add a few more instruments for the forefront higher riffs, like keep the same riff but use a different instrument to play it now and then or the same voice transposed one way or another, or drop it way back in volume and just have the reverb of it play, but its great as it is.
  9. I like it, fun, kinda made me think of Steely Dan somehow. Everything sounds good over here clear and well balanced.
  10. Well that makes me think ! Thanks for sharing
  11. Thanks for listening and your comments. Interesting you connected with the underlying dissonance as you describe it. I wrote this after my father died, a time of many feelings, and when I performed it at a coffee shop playing acoustic with the backing tracks in the pa they had there, I said first that if you notice any dissonance, it is intentional ha. Both my guitar and bass need some work at the moment and had some offness to their sound, so I recorded them, then melodyne -> midi to delete some of the unwanted stuff, then used dpro 12 string preset for the acoustic and a synthmaster soft bass preset for the bass. I used Ozone on the acoustic for a light compression and some imaging and exciting and eq too. I am curious what it made you think about if you feel like sharing. Anyways, I appreciate your comments, treesha
  12. If you have melodyne i have used that to lengthen notes
  13. Thanks for listening and commenting. I think it destroyed my cakewalk update attempt ha. So dealing with that now...
  14. I been dealing with a mess, following some suggestions on the forum, and finally got to the stage to download from bandlab assistant newest version, and the progress says 0 but i do find the file Cakewalk_by_BandLab_Update_Setup_26.09.0.006.exe is being downloaded in the roaming folder. Can someone tell me the size this file is supposed to be when it is done ? I have no idea when it is done since the progress says 0. Once it said it was corrupted so trying again. Thanks!
  15. So I was messing around with this old (acoustic guitar origin) song to try to learn and explore my purchase of Komplete Kontakt etc and well I could probably do that for the next year. I didn't wind up using much from NI but sure did try lots of stuff. The song has a few moods to it, I can relate. This is a photo I took of a bridge over the mighty Susquehanna River in Harrisburg PA taken at dusk with a little color added. I say mighty cause now that I live in the west, the nearest river to me is the Aqua Fria, which is perennial here above ground at about the width of a big step unless full of monsoon rushing waters. I look forward to working on something new after this long experimenting ! thanks for checking it out, treesha
  16. Not sure, but do you mean note assignment mode? "Now click the wrench (spanner) icon next to the toolbox of the Note Editor to activate Note Assignment Mode. The background in the Note Editor changes color to show that you are no longer in normal Edit Mode but have switched to Note Assignment Mode." There you can access potential notes....."Represented by outlines (or “hollow silhouettes”), they lie at pitches where Melodyne thought about drawing a regular, solid blob, but decided in the end to place this somewhere else, leaving the silhouette as a hint at to what might be a possible alternative for that particular note."
  17. Not on my computer right now but i think theres an option in the settings something like note editor - monitor blobs
  18. Im on 5 but not the latest cbb yet. Win 10 . When i select an audio clip with melodyne on it and drag it to empty midi track to convert to midi, every piece of audio on every track in the same area of the selected clip goes into the midi track as midi along with the one clip i wanted to convert. Maybe im selecting the clip i want wrong ? To workaround i copy the clip to beyond the ending of the song and convert there so no other unwanted tracks are included. Then drag it to the location in the song i want it. I havent had the location issues above i usually loop cakewalk to the spot i want to edit before applying melodyne so i get there right.
  19. Izotope had a bunch for download and the reasons they were being suggested as references not long ago. I don’t have a link but google or izotope site should find them
  20. So I got curious enough to try to download the rar file from google drive where it was put for me, hoping I could download it, and it is hopeless. It is too big. So I guess I can't get those last 3 big files until I can take my laptop to a wifi at some unknown time in the future when the virus is not so bad here. So I'm done for now...
  21. Yeah i’ m frustrated too. My replacement hard drive is making the same errors as the first. Great. One month later.. Contacted support again. As for our bad internet and trying to get the products surprisingly not on the drives we purchased to avoid huge downloads.. My attempt will be .... to be online with my bad internet, using native access, and point it to the uzipped rar. This assumes i can even download it on my bad internet because it is still large even in rar form. Honestly i have spent much time babysitting the smaller downloads and trying to get the faulty drive issues sorted out I haven’t felt like trying to download the rar yet but i will soon. I can let u know how it goes if i get it. If i wasn’t in corona infested area i would go to wifi as i normally would for something too big for home internet. My music computer is a laptop.
  22. I too bought the k12 hard drive because of my poor internet and being unwilling to go to a wifi at the moment, and was really disappointed not everything was on it. Plus it had a problem and i just got a replacement but checked and the files are identical so still not all the products on it. Yeah disappointing. I had someone install my 2nd native access on their good internet computer then rar that download via google drive. Its still big, haven’t tried to get that from google yet but on ni forum was told a rar is ok after unzipping and just to point to it for the install. I don’t want a refund, i got all but 3 products i think in slow motion downloads or off the drive. But yeah, disappointed it wasn’t all on the drive.

    Question Marked

Thanks Tom your appreciation got me mesmeric ( i had to look it up). Thats my favorite part. I did use scheps omni on the drums a cenzo preset. I just listened on my phone vs monitors and agree the drums could be punchier. I haven’t been checking on different systems, good reminder. Appreciate the listen and feedback. Mesmeric will stay with me. Not sure i can top that but will keep trying!
