    Prisha - Video

Great work - quite meditative and mysterious
  3. I like it - very atmospheric, a maybe little foreboding. Great work!
  4. Sounding good here. Great work guys!
  5. Hi Justin The vocals are good. The overall mix feels a little strange to me though - the vocals come out shining, and the I can hear the highs of the hats, but all the other instruments sound like a lowpass was applied to them. Try some parallel compression on the drums, as Wookiee mentioned. Also try putting a tiny bit of EQ on the snares at around 7k to help them shine a bit. For the kick, you probably want to hear the attack rather than the thud - try cutting a little at around 400Hz, and raising a little at around 5k. Feel free to ignore if that's not the sound you want though.
  6. Just what I read on some forums - people were saying that Massive X felt like a rushed product. I'm happy to stand corrected if there was no deadline/pressure.
  7. The general opinion of Massive X seemed to be that it was released at the planned date, rather than when it was ready. I hope when they release Kontakt 7, it's because it's ready; not because of a marketing date.

  9. The Beauty Is in Chaos The recent digital world tends to line up everything. That makes things predictable and... well, boring. The beauty of life is in chaos and randomness of unexpected. And Verbum Entropic Hall reflects that which makes it one of the most realistic reverbs out there. https://unitedplugins.com/VerbumEntropicHall/
  10. ELECTRO-MECHANICAL REVERBS. PURE VINTAGE ATMOSPHERE. The library is particularly suited for electric pianos, guitars and vocals Modulated Springs and Plates €49 / $49 €79 / $79 ends on September 6th https://www.overloud.com/products/modulated-springs-and-plates
  11. While PA is selling other companies' plugins from their store, I don't think Komplete will include anything from Soundwide; it's similar in concept to the iZotope everything bundle, which only contains iZotope's products. It makes sense for the three companies to keep their identities - there may or may not be a Soundwide bundle/subscription one day, but I don't think that day has come yet.

  13. Very pretty, somehow makes me feel pensive. For the piano transients, maybe try a multiband compressor or dynamic EQ on target frequencies. Maybe a standard transient shaper might help too.

  15. I played Oblivion a while ago, and that title sounds familiar - chances are I got stuck on that quest too. That's when YouTube comes in handy 😜
  16. I like it too - it's very cool for trying out different arrangements quickly. The deal prices are pretty good too - the MIDI pack works out even cheaper than the price of one in a 6-pack!
  17. Just my speculation, but I think there may have been some kind of technical challenge with the keys involved. The cut-off period was also round about the time that Toontrack moved from DVD-only distribution to online downloads and the Toontrack Product Manager. Aside from the upgrade cutoff, I'm glad they made the transition: not sure I'd like to install 235 GB of drum samples from DVDs.
  18. And there I was thinking it was going to be ANY-2999-THE-LAST-ROUND 😁
  19. Seems like a reasonable idea to me, and I don't like subs - I dropped CorelDRAW as soon as it went sub-only and went for Affinity Design. Those who like the latest and greatest can subscribe and get the features as they come out. Those who prefer to buy perpetual licences continue to do the same thing as before - wait for a new major version to be released, decide if it's worth upgrading, and then upgrade if so. From this perspective, there is no change whatsoever. The only difference is potential FOMO that there are people using new features first.
  20. I completely understand this. I'm not suggesting anyone do it, but theoretically how would someone doing this be found out? If it's really distinctive, someone might recognise it, but I would have thought e.g. most snare samples sound fairly generic. Or does it get picked up by copyright detection technology?
  21. Try reporting this as an issue on their GitHub page - they can't fix the issue if they don't know about it https://github.com/audacity/audacity
  22. Good point. SD3 has some electronic drums in there but it's not as extensive as their sampled drums. I think it comes down to the difference in the drum types though - for (new sounding) electronic drums you probably want a drum synth engine more than a set of samples. Electronic drums are also different in that they more or less have the same timbre regardless of how hard you 'hit' them.
