  1. This has the feel of a lot of recent advertisement music, somewhat laid back and semi acoustic.  Nicely done on the production as ever Daryl and co.

Nice Guitar work James, solid Bass from The Bapu, nice vocals from Liz and The monkey lover ;) as ever tickling the keys and knobs.

  2. So @MGC59 how did you convince Chris Martin to sing on this for you 😎.  Not a big fan of them only familiar with their stuff I have heard on the radio when driving.

This does sound very much like their sound, I think I agree with Tom (DeeringAmps) the kit would have a fuller sound, the drummer has a lot of input on the song writing as I understand it.

  3. @freddy j Thank you I have been playing with Synths since the late 60's and early 70's so i get the idea sometimes I still get surprised by them 😊

and @Lynn thank you too, OK not sure what it is but you are welcome to some.

  4. @Douglas Kirby Thank you for listening and leaving a comment, futuristic I suppose I have very little idea where any of it comes from it just sort ends up coming out of the end of the furry paws.

patch changes with every MIDI note

There is a module called "Random Task" it has a Gate input which can either be trigger by a Clock/Gate or in this case the Gate from a key press.

This generates a Voltage which has probability, shuffle and Steps/Range controls and also voltage value from 0 to 5v's The output CV goes into a quantizer to keep it in tune. From there it just gets a little mad as it feeds an oscillator which controls a vectoring module, which is modulated by three other oscillators.  which in them selves are modulated by a few LFO's.  Do you get the picture?

Thanks for the ears @bjornpdx.  When you do look in to Modular synthesis be prepared to disappear down a rabbit hole and get lost along the way.

  6. Thanks @David Sprouse it is a weird thing to listen too as sometimes the self generating patch on the VM just produces rubbish, it is  a case of cross the fur paws and hope the bounce works.  Thanks for your time, ears and kind words.

  7. @ADUS As the Cakewalk Dance was popular with African Americans how can the company be accused of being racist?  Surly that is promoting people of colour.

If one wants to one can find any phrase or comment and turn it into a racist comment or phrase, it says more about the person who brings it to our attention than the comment or phrase itself.

As I understand it also refers to a note progression popular in the Twelve Tone form of music.  Historically Cakewalk Music Software was written by the Company formed by Greg Hendershot called Twelve Tone Inc.

This thread has crossed the political line and will therefore be locked.
