  1. Can't say it's happened here for quite a while so it could be almost anything. A crash dump may reveal something.
  2. AFAIK colors are stored in the EXE file and upon opening Cakewalk writes only the colors available in Preferences to the registry. If you delete the registry entries, Cakewalk rewrites them next time it opens. You can't change colors in the registry. Theme data are stored in the theme file itself (FTH, STH). The EXE file reads from it, TTSRES, and TTSImage to display the GUI. I think the registry only documents which theme was last used so it can reload it next time.
  3. Also, never let it Sleep or Hibernate. All my button and lid settings are set to "Do nothing".
  4. Sounds like new Sonar has some new tricks up it's sleeve. Previous Sonar versions would sometimes do this after a crash. I now save new iterations of a project with each major change. Hours of work may be lost but at least you have a starting point with an earlier project. Save and save often.
  5. Cool, but let's not distract them from m o r e important things like . . . . . C O L O R customization. In fact, I'm boycotting all future requests until it happens.
  6. It's the main file for GUI display. TTSImage.dll removed the images from it for user themes and theme Editor. If TTSImage is still around it's mostly unused left overs from a now long-forgotten age. Basically but it has a unique file extension over user created themes: FTH vs STH. They are the same format and extensions are interchangeable but FTH files have to be in Cakewalk Core folder and STH files have to be in Cakewalk Themes folder to be seen in Preferences.
  7. I've found having multiple Cakewalk DAWs installed can cause numerous issues between them if not installed exactly right. Then again, none of them ever needed a reason to crash - certain days were crash days no matter what. 3 days ago CbB crashed right after it opened with no project. Today it crashed (froze solid) after slip stretching a Melodyned clip before bouncing it 1st. In this case, it really was a plug-in.
  8. You can also dock plug-ins in Multidock the same way.
  9. They are stored here: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Surfaces 它们存储在这里:C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Surfaces Tāmen cúnchú zài zhèlǐ:C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Surfaces
  10. SPlat also has a Theme Editor so you can tweak CbB themes to fit as some images are different or non existent. For giggles Theme Editor even shows up in Sonar 8's Tools Menu. Funny how some DAWs have quite the following for custom themes while other DAWs could care less. Mixcraft is almost 100% user customizable and even looks designed to support it in the preferences, but it's maker and most users have no interest in it. Seems LUNA has but one user who makes and posts skins for it. Reaper users have been doing it from the beginning, I think. MOTU DP has several "colorful" themes made in-house. These 4 have image folders you can easily access.
  11. CbB is only 400 - 600 MB. If you need the space you can delete the Cakewalk Core folders leaving the registry alone. Otherwise, uninstall Sonar, uninstall CbB, then reinstall Sonar.
  12. I was expecting something more like "New Sonar Colors for Dummies and Old Guys with Failing Eyesight!" like me.
  13. I normally use this method but have always been curious what settings it uses since it gose straight to file saving.
  14. In CbB Inspector Track Description box and Track Take Lane Notes box, typing an "=" sign results in "+=". Browser Notes Browser works as expected. Only matters if it also happens in Sonar.
  15. Thanks. I've signed in thru CbB many times, closed CbB, then reopened CbB a little later and found I'm logged out. Seems it logs me out more often than it leaves me logged in. Wondering what would cause that.
  16. When you sign in to BandLab from Sonar/CbB help menu, does closing Sonar/CbB automatically sign you out of BandLab? It does for me almost 99% of the time.
  17. You also need to be on version 2024.12 as earlier versions won't activate.
  18. Too much Rocky & Bullwinkle will do that.
  19. Would be nice if clicking on the Function header alphabetized the list. I see it kinda tries to but not quite.
  20. You can if you go to the folder I referenced and replace the images there. Not the same as right-clicking to load a new one but these weren't meant to be changed that way and I'm not sure they would go thru the trouble to do that for a single plug-in. If you do edit the images you should backup the originals.
  21. Entire GUI images are stored in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Session Drummer 3\Resources folder and can be customized at will. Drum thumbs are 3-state images that simulate motion.
