    Colored clip backgrounds

  2. To clarify: Wide EQ Plot screen is located under ProChannel Narrow EQ Plot is located under Console View | Modules | ProChannel Would like to see minor inconsistencies like this remedied.
  3. @Starship Krupa Thanks for doing this! The list of Colors in Preferences is a carryover from the pre-X series and many are now "broken" (non useable or misapplied). The documentation list you linked to is now incomplete and contains colors no longer listed. If colors are important to a theme you can set them how you like and create (export) a color list for that theme. Cakewalk & Theme Editor both contain left-over, non-used graphics from previous Sonar versions as well.
  4. If your interface has multiple inputs, select the one in CbB's track input you want to record from. If your interface only has one stereo input visible in CbB, you won't be able to do it because all tracks will play thru that input.
  5. ... or perhaps add a flyout extension to one side of the channel strip like ProChannel does, so adjacent strips aren't covered up.
  6. Download "Everything" and use it to search each HDD for ".cwp". Windows search is slow and often very incomplete. "Everything" is good at finding everything!
  7. @37:55 Product manager Mat says there will be drivers...
  8. 24-bit/96kHz recording. Preorder. Looks promising. https://mackie.com/products/onyx-series-premium-analog-mixers-multitrack-usb
  9. Or in Track View... 1. Select the Smart Tool (star) 2. Hover the mouse over the clip where you want to begin deleting 3. Hold the Alt key and click the mouse (cursor will change to scissors) You now have 2 clips. 4. Select the clip you want to delete (if not already highlighted) and hit the Delete key or the Ctrl+X keys 5. Right click the remaining clip and select Bounce to clips.
  10. Not sure why dragging them all isn't working for you, as it should work. Otherwise you can set and use Snap To when dragging the left edge and it should snap to where you want it.
  11. Hah, most of them have been bannished to the Coffee House forum.
  12. No doubt I may have a physical memory issue. Today, as about every other day, CbB continued to hang in memory and not open for any reason. Other versions of Sonar open fine but CbB regularly requires me to reboot the system to clear it from memory. Also, I am unable to set my interface as default. Button is grayed out.
  13. To explain, Cakewalk creates .WOV & .TR2 files in a global folder called Picture Cache. These visually represent the wave form you see in an audio clip. "C:\Cakewalk Projects\Picture Cache" When issues like this arise you can delete all the files in the folder so CbB can draw new ones. It's good to clear the folder regularly so issues like this don't happen. Another link: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=AudioPerformance.25.html
  14. Exclusive Mode is off Even if it were on, I would expect CbB to open and warn me of an audio issue, not fail to open at all.

  16. My default sound is the onboard soundcard. Cakewalk only uses my ASIO interface. If my web browser is open and using the soundcard, Cakewalk will NOT open. The splash screen appears then disappears.
  17. Thanks for the explanation, Jeremy.
  18. 1. Turn off SNAP, zoom in to the area you want to put it, drag it to that location with AIM ASSIST. 2. Use Paste Special (Ctrl+Alt+V) and enter the exact location at the top. HTH
  19. As I've never intentionally set one, probably another "X-files" anomaly. ?
  20. In my experience... "D" will open views in the last known position (partial or full window for MD). Shift+D will open it in the alternate position (whichever one the other one isn't). ?
  21. Never knew what these were either. And back to the OP's question, If one has to intentionally set them, how do they show up unannounced?
