  1. I use Restorator but there are others that can open DLL files. If a DLL contains a Bitmap (BMP) or PNG folder, you can use a resource editor to copy them to your HDD, repaint them, reinsert them back into the DLL, and save it. Always save a copy of the original DLL somewhere safe.
  2. Make a STUDIO forum with sub forums for: - Instruments & Effects - Hardware - Software - Deals (Coffee House seems highly odd place for such a forum)
  3. I just wasted 4 hrs yesterday fooling with MIDI signal freerads messing with my outboard synth on CbB & Sonar. Finally ended the night with a BSOD, which has only happened once before on this computer. Tried migrating the project to MC8 where very little goes wrong... but it just doesn't have the editing tools I need. I'm afraid to turn anything on today.
  4. A link to the forum from our BL user account login makes the most sense, like it was with Sonar. I have no problem logging into BL with IE. But IE will NOT let me log in to the forum.
  5. I reposted this in the FAQ forum where it should have been posted.
  6. 1. Make BIGGER or bolder the orange button text. (white on orange is hard to see especially using Chrome. 2. Make bigger and/or darker the gray and orange text. 3. Add a floating arrow button to expedite returning to the top of the page. 4. Add "Contributed to" to the SORT BY list so threads I contributed to move to the top of the list. (this can already be done using one's account Profile link at the top right) 5. Make a forum access link from our BL account login page so the (broken for IE) login can be avoided. ?
  7. How do we vote on feature ideas we like? There's a 5 star rating option but how does that work?
  8. If they could make T.E. user update-able then we could add our own files to it. ?
  9. You can use a resource editor to extract & repaint the graphics.

  11. Of course, an external mixer/interface will also work.
  12. IE11 won't let me log in. It hangs at the "Continue" button screen and the Cakewalk logo never loads. 2 days ago I made the changes listed below and was able to log in until now. File > Tools > General > *check* Delete browsing history on exit File > Tools > Content > *click* Clear SSL state File > Tools > Advanced > *check* Security > Use SSL 3.0
  13. Well, it worked for 2 days. Today it's back to not letting me log in again. ?
  14. Using Realtek as the default sound, I would think Cake & IE should both be able to use the Realtek together using WDM or WASAPI if latency (delay) isn't an issue.
  15. According to some older posts I've read, Some or all of these came with Sonar 8.5 but most of the issues started around x2 or x3. Maybe during install it sees an issue and disables them. Or, as scook says, they're in the background fueling Style Dials, or something. I enabled them and the VX-64 seems to work just fine. Not sure if I'd ever use these so I'm not too worried if they work or not.
  16. This should be moved to the FAQ forum so I reposted it there.
  17. A request to include it. This is the horizontal line between each module. The wide Console strip separator is the only one currently available. A workaround can be done outside T.E. with a resource editor, but that would affect all themes with one change. ☹️
  18. Changed some settings in IE: File > Tools > General > *check* Delete browsing history on exit File > Tools > Content > *click* Clear SSL state File > Tools > Advanced > *check* Security > Use SSL 3.0 Don't know which one actually fixed it but I can log on now.
  19. I see that now. ? 4. deleted.
  20. You should be able to see all posts EVEN when not signed in. What browser are you using? Edge, IE, Chrome, Firefox...?
  21. The old forums will be "frozen" in time (archived) and all links within them should still work.... but you won't be able to log on to it or access your account through it, so it's not likely you will be able to access your personal posts in one place like you can now. Find them now and save them as a "Webpage, complete (*htm, *html)" on your computer. This is easy with IE but not so much with Chrome, etc.
  22. Not here. Although IE is the best overall browser for me, only certain videos and now this don't work. Really makes no sense. ?
