Like Starship both these methods give me the default image. I can only get a custom image doing it Glenn's way.

Cool For the Empty Project, 4 & 16 Track images there seems to be no "trigger" word. If you open one and save it with the same name, CbB removes the image from the file. For these 3 files the image seems to be embedded in the file itself whereas the others appear to retrieve their image from a location within CbB.

Playing the keyboard controller. Where else would it be?! Maybe don't ans...
-
Funny. I don't use the start screen or templates.... so why am I here??!?!!? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As Daniel mentioned in the video, there are more "trigger" words to discover. From Daniel's list (Kurre), John Vere, & me: IMAGE = WORD 4 track = (image triggered in default file only?) 16 track = (image triggered in default file only?) Acoustic Guitar = acoustic, song Amplifiers = amp, metal Boombox = hiphop, rap Drum kit = drum Gold Record = master (unless certain other key word also used) Grand Piano = piano, key Les Paul = blues, guitar, jazz, pop, rock Microphone = singer, vocals (not "sing" or "vocal") Music sheet = (image triggered in default file only?) Speaker = loud, mix ("basic" triggers image in default file only) Strings = orchestra, bass Synthesizer = dance, electro, synth, techno, trance Most variations of above words work. Some, but not all, root words work. If 2 words are used, highest alphabetical word normally, but not always, wins. To override a trigger word, you must add your own image in Notes Browser. My thumbs down wasn't because it's a bad idea. Just not something I would endorse after years of investment (since X1) in making themes for the present offering.

Start Screen Not Working Since Update **solved**
sjoens replied to dubdisciple's topic in Feedback Loop
Screenshot says it all. Weird. -
But we all do, don't we? I do.

Yes. All the time. But there are moments when a quick reclick is faster since the mouse is already in hand. Not a show stopper, tho.

Feature Request : use the ||: and :|| symbols on the track view
sjoens replied to Jeremy Oakes's topic in Feedback Loop
...which was a feature request not too many moons ago, btw. -
Click tab to open a multidock window. Click same tab to return to Track View.

winkpain's way does not work for me. Glenn's way does work. Still would be nice to know where the default images are stored.

Waveform outlines serve no practical purpose!
sjoens replied to Bill Ruys's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Would be nice if they could be added to the T.E. or "Colors" in Preferences. -
Honestly I just don't understand why there's so many issues like this. For one, the Theme Editor in Dark Mode is almost unusable because I can't read the gray text on the gray background. Edit something and the text is now readable. Perhaps using different text colors would work better.

FWIW, both options are not checked on my system.

No ideas. Mine checks out OK at higher zoom levels. One thing I don't like is the Control Bar resizing it's modules when screen zoom is changed.
-
When making a quick check of open tabs it would be more intuitive to have reverse action.

Possible that track numbers missed the TTSRES list and appear to be Windows fonts.?
-
... that was my 2nd guess. Still odd since each text line is assigned a font in TTSRES.dll.
-
lol. It was a pun referring to the italicized track numbers in your screens shots. Unless you photoshopped them, the only way I know to do that is edit the String line buried in the TTSRES file.

In Sonar X1, the Inspector sliders were originally editable graphic knobs. Someone changed them, probably to save vertical space, leaving Mix control as it was. Same with Key & Time, with only Time remaining "graphical". Baffling. I'm always anxious to see what'll be changed next.

It seems you've also been dabbling a bit into "string" theory.
