Love it. You have that one line: The suns gonna rise, the world keeps moving on Very catchy, so it seems to me it should be emphasized more, like a chorus. Or put it in again at the end of the song. Well just a suggestion. Always enjoy your songs. -Bjorn

Definitely prefer the 2nd version although the faster tempo of the first one lent itself well to depicting a storm. I like the main theme (very nice!) that comes in right at the beginning and then you return to it a couple of times. I was thinking it could work well if you had a calmer "after the storm" part featuring that theme. Anyway, impressive playing. Really enjoyed it. Beethoven approves. ? -Bjorn

Hi John, I don't think I'll ever warm up to the genre you do but I certainly respect the musicianship and esp your lyric writing ability. Love that flute! -Bjorn

Steve Love the stories you weave in that wistful nostalgic style you do. Really nice accompaniment going on in the background which adds so much to the vocal. Is that you in the photo? -Bjorn

Hey Daryl Sitting here in Starbucks and I"m being transported to a very pleasant place listening to that heavenly choir. Just beautiful. "current mrs daryl" -Bjorn

Very nice job getting all those photos out of the album and into a video. I like the references to the technology back then. Weird how VCRs and DVD players were so high tech and now they're becoming ancient history in our life time. One crit: maybe too much zooming in the video? -Bjorn

Ross, I'm loving the theme introduced earlier but it really shines beginning ~4:00. A bit simpler orchestration here maybe and with a great sounding flute. So now I've listened to this a few times and gotta say this has huge potential. Keep working on it and submit it wherever you can. -Bjorn

Toe tapping music and the video made me smile. Really nice work on this. Boy, I thought I had a lot of plugins... -Bjorn

Larry, nice bass track moving things along esp at intro The harmonica surprised me. Seems like things kind of meandered in the middle but you pulled it thru. This might be one of the best I've heard from you. -Bjorn

Wookie, I like the phrase explorations in different chords and I like the vocal which sounded pretty good and not at all hazardous though our budgie is still cowering in her cage for some reason. -Bjorn

Very nice job, Steve. I get what you're saying about figuring out a unique or difficult part of a classic song. For a long time I tried to figure out how Klaus Schulz got some of his signature sounds out of his synths. I've come close but not quite there yet. Well, that isn't the same as doing a cover, but your explanation of why you do covers kind of resonates with me. -Bjorn

So smooth. Wonderful sax tone. Also this is one of those songs where I really notice the bass and appreciate how it contributes to the song. -Bjorn

I like the intro with the piano and cello (?) Very nice gtr phrases! Vocal seemed a tad too upfront to me and I thought it could use a little delay, IMO. Good job. -Bjorn

Rex, beautiful song! PBS had a documentary on country music a while ago and I think your voice is right up there with the best of them. Not sure if you consider yourself country, but the song and your voice certainly has that country ballad sound IMO. -Bjorn

Thanks! I wasn't sure about the drums but I guess the track worked out. Jeff - the picture was generated in MidJourney with AI. I typed in "spaceship bridge with psychedelic colors" and it came up with four somewhat related images and I chose the one you mentioned. -Bjorn

You always come up with really good accompaniment tracks to your vocals but I still have trouble understanding the words. Could be just me though. -Bjorn

Oooo I'm liking this one. Short but sweet. -Bjorn

Is that from NI Battery? This is one of those genres I've never tried. I like the contrast between the tricky beats in the background and the more sedate melody on top. -Bjorn

Beautiful song and great lyrics! Vocal really stands out to me as well as the guitar work. Very nice! -Bjorn

Great song! You're going to have to write a song every anniversary from now on you know.? -Bjorn

Starfield - an intergalactic space voyage. I'm declaring this one finished after way too many changes and versions. Thanks for listening/comments. -Bjorn

Lynn, Great title. In parts of the song, the orchestral instruments brought to mind a soundtrack from a 40s movie with an actor telling a story over flashbacks from the past. Probably not what you intended and just my off the wall point of view. I thought the orchestral instruments worked well (that bit around 1:50 ?) and the vocal track is up to your usual high standards. The repeated lyrics near the end would work better if just the last word or two in the phrase were used. IMO. -Bjorn

The flute stands out really well, one of the better sampled instruments I've heard. Very nice melody on top of a jazzy score. Bonus: The birder that I am had to ID the bird in the picture. It's an Eastern Yellow Robin that lives in Australia. -Bjorn

Steve, Well I guess you've expressed your feelings pretty well here and I totally understand what you're saying. I was one of those people once and I'll regret it forever. Very nice guitar work and a clear voc delivery. Great video too! I'm amazed you were able to get so many images that fit the lyrics. BTW I don't think you needed to put the warning on the vid. -Bjorn
