    Why can I not save?

Looks like a Windows permissions issue Try running Cakewalk as administrator....
  2. My new year’s resolution is 7680 × 4320
  3. If you are feeing a little adventurous, and can edit text files, you may be able to edit the UVI Multi files (They are standard text files with a uviws extension), to replace occurrences of "World Suite.ufs" with “World Suite 2.ufs” on a backup uviws file. I have not tried this, so I cannot tell you if it would work or not. You would have to experiment.
  4. Ah yeah, that's a point. Keep WS1 installed while you change the projects over to WS2. Then uninstall WS2
  5. Replaces. When I purchased WS2, I uninstalled WS1. All of the WS1 content is in WS2
  6. Note: Full retail version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or later required.
  7. I was also on NI1.4 and FM8 still showed 1.4.4 I bit the bullet and succumbed to NI3.01. Then all updates showed (Massive X had one as well) I did configure the NTKDaemonService service to only start when NI starts (and stops it when NI is exited) (Used AutoHotKey for this)
  8. Sounds like you need a new bank..... Is this what you are after? https://www.jrrshop.com/mastering-the-mix-reso
  9. Now I am hoping for 1.4.7. Changes: Added: Scalable interface....
  10. My humble suggestion is to not use Omni , but rather specific MIDI channels instead. I use a 16 part multitimbral external synth where each part responds to MIDI channel 1 to 16 respectively. I configure 16 tracks, one for each part. What I do is set each MIDI track to its specific MIDI channels , not “none” as they are when you first create them. Then I can simply drag the MIDI clips to the destination tracks. When I do this, the MIDI channels of the events remain the same. When MIDI tracks are set to specific MIDI channels, those specific MIDI channels override any MIDI channels that the individual events are set to.
  11. I have never had that happen. Mind you, I run Cakewalk with an account that has administrative privileges You might want to post a new thread for visibility. Make the title meaningful like “Manage and Save Workspaces greyed out”
  12. I use another PC with MIDIox on it to capture what Cakewalk sends. Maybe what yuou can do is load MIDIox, comment you midi out to your MIDI in, disable MIDI in on Cakewalk and see what MIDIox captures. http://www.midiox.com/ On my system, when cakewalk starts, Cakewalk sends CC122 value 0 on all channels to any external MIDI ports even if there are no MIDI tracks in the startup template. You might want to look for active send commands as well. I can't remember if Cakewalk send these. I create MIDI files that are intended for an external Yamaha external module. When I load these files, any sysex banks that are in the project that are set to “auto” get sent when that project loads. Also, any MIDI tracks with volume, pan and patches set that is set to the external MIDI interface gets sent as well. My PC is configured as per signature.
  13. I use both. I configure Workspaces to not touch Windows layouts. I leave that to screensets - with are saved in the projects themselves. You are right about the “Basic” Workspace. That should not be the default. As you say, should be “none” or “Advanced”
  14. Screensets are definitely still present. I use them all the time. You are probably using a Workspace that has Screensets disabled.... Try editing your current workspace to enable Screensets, or set Workspace to “none”
  15. Until it is implemented, one way I can think of doing something close to this is with Articulation maps in the PRV.
  16. Pigments is not a vocoder. The Arturia solution is Vocoder V
  17. Yeah, I wouldn't be either...... Still stick with the web installer.
  18. It could also be that they chose to use the msix installer - which many Windows users (myself included) cannot use. On the Affinity forums, Affinity have indicated that they will include traditional MSI installers at some time in the future - but they did not give a time frame at the time. I actually purchased version 2 of Affinity Photo 2 but asked for (and got) a refund because I can not use msix installers.
  19. If all you need to do is install Cakewalk by Bandlab and keep it activated and updated, then uninstall BA and install Cakewalk using the Cakewalk web installer. https://downloads.bandlab.com/cakewalk/setup/CakewalkSetup.exe Cakewalk can now update and stay activated without needing BA. I have not had BA on my PC for ages. I cannot answer why your Cakewalk core folder would be empty (accept for that CHM file). Maybe an Anti-Malware program went rogue.
