  1. I don’t use the PCR800 with ACT, but as a straight MIDI controller. Hopefully someone using their MIDI Controller with ACT can chime in.
  2. Using my MIDI keyboard controller (PCR800), I was able to start Project playback while the Patch Browser was open. (PC configured as per signature) I have used a MIDI controller / note mapping to create the key binding to “Play”.
  3. Select none, then do the export. If you want the whole thing, you don’t have to select anything. Just make sure “Entire Mix”is selected (under“SOURCE CATEGORY” ) on export dialogue box.
  4. Then you are probably looking at a project specific plugin causing this - trial and error I’m afraid.
  5. "fully patched" means are all the Windows updates installed.
  6. Sampletank, UVI Workstation, Kontakt are example of vstis that are Per-Output. In these examples, a single instance can have multiple parts, with each part responding to a specific MIDI channel. Also, each part can be directed to a specific audio track. Because of this, I can see why "Per-Output Instrument tracks are unsuitable for MPE instruments". For me personally, I am looking forward to the greater controller resolution that MIDI 2.0 can potentially offer. Instead of 127 discreet values, we could benefit from 16384 (like you get with WHEEL events). Mine you, with some parameters, 127 discreet values is enough and does not cause audible stepping. For MPE handling of parameters on individual notes, we have already had the ability to do this via poly Polyphonic Aftertouch (even though editing is a pain). Some Arturia V Collection synths do actually respond to Polyphonic Aftertouch MIDI events (CS-80 V is an example)
  7. What have you tried so far? I am assuming you have rebooted, updated your Focusrite Clarett drivers and that your PC is as fully patched as t can be. I am also assuming that the Focusrite Clarett is not on a non powered hub. Rather, plugged into a powered hub or ,preferably, on a USB port on the back of your PC. Also, on some PCs, it's better to have your audio interface on a USB2 port (black rather than blue). However, my Focusrite 2i2 is on a blue USB port and I have never had this issue. Also, it could be a plugin that particular project uses..... Probably unrelated but have you disabled all USB power savings in device manager.
  8. While this will not “disable them altogether”, you could use the Cakewalk Theme Editor to make them invisible by using a colour that has an opacity of 0%
  9. Only my system , there is a file called Roland.ins. This is an instrument definition file for various Roland synths I opened up this file in standard text editor and I did indeed find references to the XP-80 in there. Looks like this is the instrument definition file to use. This file should have the patch names and controller names. Then you need a way to get the XP-80 into Cakewalk - this can be via an audio signal to your audio interface. See, page 1309 of the latest PDF Cakewalk by Bandlab for more information on Instrument definitions

    Track Zoom Issue

Maybe drop a note Cakewalk support here: https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000025633

    Track Zoom Issue

Have you gone into track view - options - Mouse Wheel Zoom Options and selected “Simultaneous Horizontal and Vertical Zoom”?

    Track Zoom Issue

Whoops apologies , yes, I meant zooming..... it’s damn hot here..... 36C here...... ALT+Mouse wheel zooms here.....

    Track Zoom Issue

Holding ALT while using the scroll wheel consistently horizontally scrolls for me.

    Track Zoom Issue

In the track view, to the left (where it lists the track names), move your mouse point to a line separating the tracks, you will see the mouse cursor change. Drag this up and down will zoom that track’s height. Holding down SHIFT while doing this, will adjust all selected tracks to be the same height. Holding down CTRL while doing this, will increased/decrease all selected track’s height. To Zoom horizontally, mouse over the ruler until the mouse pointer looks like a magnifying glass. See the Cakewalk Help file for more information.
  15. The behaviour you are seeing is documented in the Cakewalk by Bandlab user guide (page 1688 of the latest pdf) “Marker names are based on the imported file name, and are numbered sequentially”. If you wish to put in a feature request that CUE markers retain their stored names themselves, you can do so here. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/8-feedback-loop/
  16. As a test, I imported a WAV file with embedded Cue marker Created with Goldwave 6.36. They were, indeed, imported into Cakewalk by Bandlab as markers. I did not have to do anything special in Cakewalk by Bandlab other than make sure the setting was selected in preferences. So, on my system (configured as per my signature.), the feature does work as intended. The wave file I imported was 44.1 kHz 16 bits Stereo that had embbed cue markers. There might be something about your wave file that Cakewalk is borking at.

    Cakewalk will not open

What happens if you go to the "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core" folder and rename the AUD.INI file, then attempt to start Cakewalk by Bandlab? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your hardware drivers (Not just for your Audio interface). Do this using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates. While you’re at it, you might as well check you are using the latest versions.
  18. If after trying the VST2 (if one exists) version, and this issue persists, you might want to start a new thread. Maybe make a title like "CbB project with IOTA mini vst3 closes immediately)
  19. So do I. Currently I use CAL scripts to convert Channel aftertouch to Key aftertouch.
  20. Yes, but some soft synths do respond to poly aftertouch.....

Send an email to support@cakewalk.com and they will sort this for you.
  22. MIDI is simply a stream of digital instructions telling a device (in this case, your Korg pa900) what notes to play (as well as changing other parameters) What you might want to do is see if the pa900 can respond to patch change commands. You might need to check your pa900 user guide and look for the MIDI implementation chart. In there, it might tell you want patch change command corresponds to the patch that you need that MIDI track to play. Then either: Insert the required patch change command in the MIDI track before any occurrence of notes. (I use the event view list for this) or Set the MIDI track’s patch and bank number to match the patch change command that recalls the patch that you need the Korg to play An instrument definition (*.ins) file might be handy as well if you are able to locate one.
  23. Probably unlikely.... If they are DX plugins, then no. If they are 32bit VST then probably - but I would not recommend it - best to try and keep all plugins 64 bit - for stability. It’s very possible that Cakewalk by Bandlab comes with an equivalent of the plugins you’re after... Which specific plugins?
  24. Until the bakers change this (which could be while), with the smart tool selected, the controller lane hidden, and a controller type selected, Hold down CTRL + ALT while drawing.

    Please help!

I was able to enter some drum hits for a 4 on the floor beat in the Piano Roll View for 1 measure. Converted the MIDI clip into a groove clip. Then I extended that clip out to 408 measure . I ended up with 408 measures of that beat.(and I could have added more) How exactly are you extending/adding the beats?
