  1. See: https://www.soundonsound.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55497&start=24 I have done this to make a PCR-800 work on Windows 10 (there are no official Windows 10 PCR-800 drivers on the Roland website).
  2. You can, but it's global - not per VST. In the Preferences - MIDI - Instruments > Define > Controller names, under the tree “Standard”, there you can enter the controller names.
  3. If you mean the pattern tool, right click on the Draw tool and the menu that pops up contains the pattern tool. I have actually created a key binding for the pattern tool.(SHFT + P)
  4. Even if you do not have V2 of AmpliTube 5, but stlll have V1, AmpliTube 5 update will still be offered.
  5. That's not a bad idea. Though I would need to extract the actual location from the registry. An Autohotkey script could do this. One could create the EXE file (using Autohotkey) , then add the entry to the Sonar Tools menu to delete picture cache.
  6. Currently, to clear the picture Cache, one has to open Preferences - File - Audio Data, copy the path displayed in “Picture Folder”, Open up a Windows Explorer Window (Winkey + E) , Paste the copied path, then delete the files therein. That's quite a few steps. In Preferences - File - Audio Data,c an we please have an “Empty Picture Cache” button to the right of the browse button that does all of the above in one step. (Yeah, I know. What can I say, I'm lazy).
  7. I guess the proof would be if, those who have filled out the survey, actually receive their $US20.00 UVI voucher (and that is appears on their UVI Account Page).
  8. The From field in emails can be easily faked. The way to know definitively is to contact UVI and ask them directly.
  9. I believe Keybindings the with an asterisks next to them are the keys that have been reassigned from the default to do something else. I have made many custom keybindings and my Keybindings list in Preferences is chockas with asterisks. When ever I have done a “Zap All”, the asterisks dissappear.
  10. I suspect you are using Workspaces. Remember, by default, Workspaces load their own Keybindings. Either: Use a custom Workspace where you have configured that Workspace not to load its keybindings, or Set your Workspace to “None”
  11. UVI will know. If you ask them, they might even tell you.
  12. That is actually how I back up this key. I just use a CMD command line script that gets run at the end of my normal back up.. The part in the script that specifically backs up Sonar’s recent files is as follows. regedit /e "D:\Data Files\Reg Keys\Sonar\Sonar Recent_file_list.reg" "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Sonar\Recent File List" Of course, change the "D:\Data Files\Reg Keys\Sonar\Sonar Recent_file_list.reg" into where you want save your specific reg file.
  13. Part of my daily back up routine also backs up the following key: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Sonar\Recent File List"
  14. @Ian MacphersonAnd once you have done that, and have it working in CbB, reinstall Sonar 2025 and TT-S should also available and usable in Sonar 2025. I have Sonar 2025 and TT-S is available and usable in Sonar 2025 here.
  15. Yes, it means exclude Sonar and all the stuff from MS Defender. Stopping Defender (and remembering to) while working in Sonar would be a bit of a pain. Because you exclude entire folders, excluding all of your plugins is simply a matter of excluding the entire folder where your plugins are stored (along with all other Sonar related folders). I have Malwarebytes premium and have done the same with that.
  16. What measured temperature does your CPU get to when Sonar has locked up / crashed? I have had mine (very briefly) up to 100°C and it does not crash. (though I do not like doing that very often) The brief time at 100°C is sometimes when I am using RX11’s Music Rebalance tool. Sonar sometimes gets to around 85°C to 90°C when playing a heavy project - fans nearly going into warp - . However, Sonar has never locked up or crashed even when at high warp. Something else is probably going on with your PC.
  17. Did you ever have a licence for Sonar Platinum or SONAR Professional? If so, then you can install Sonar Platinum or SONAR Professional, and then install the “Platinum Instrument Collection” to get PSYN II installed. Note: PSYN II produces a blank GUI in Sonar 2025 unless you deselect "Enable DPI Awareness." in Preferences - Customisation - Display
  18. Update via Native Access (confirmed as working here) Release Notes Version 1.6.1 (Latest) 16 September 2025 Minimum OS requirement: macOS 13, 14 or 15 (latest update) Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit, latest Service Pack). ADDED Settings Menu option to select which parameters send automaton event when the Morpher ls moved (especially useful to better manage the DAW undo history). ADDED Link to discover new Massive X Expansions above the Browser in the Play View and Settings menu. FIXED Arrow keys previously not allowing navigating presets in the browser. FIXED Presets ending with a new Line character could cause the buttons In the GUI header to become misaligned. FIXED Assignment highlights were displayed over the remote octave window on hover.
  19. Yes, but that binding cannot be created via Preferences - Customisation - Keyboard Shortcuts. Currently, if I wanted to recreate this from scratch (maybe because of an install on a new PC), I would either have to add the reg file I posted previously, or import a KBN file (Which I do create every time I add/edit a Key Binding). There must have been a time in the past with a particular iteration of Cakewalk where I was able to create this keybinding.
  20. I have made a reg file that, when imported , adds the keybinding ALT+SHIFT+L to “Lock/Unlock the Screenset from modifications” in Sonar 2025. This should not modify existing keybindings. Of course, before importing this file, make sure you either export your keybindings to a KBN file, or export the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Sonar\Bindings Sonar Screentset lock Keybinding.reg
  21. You mean to tell me that have never actually delved into the sonic playground that is Falcon.....?
