  1. Install the driver if necessary Connect the Nektar GX 49 to your USB port Open Cakewalk - head to Preferences - MIDI - Devices - enable input Too easy!
  2. I am just wondering if Phase Plant can be expanded with paid modules? Also, is it a forgone conclusion that these modules help one get the most out of Phase Plant?
  3. Yes, it appears that Tiffany Passarella has left the building......
  4. I've never had that issue. Is this in general, or can you name a plugin where this has happened for you?
  5. Just use Open Shell https://open-shell.github.io/Open-Shell-Menu/
  6. Here is what you might want to try. Visit the manufacturer’s website of the audio interface you're using and download the latest driver. Uninstall and reinstall your current driver and install the downloaded one. Then download the Cakewalk installer https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk If all you use Bandlab Assistant for is to install and update Cakewalk by Bandlab, then you can uninstall Bandlab Assistant and use the Cakewalk installer instead.
  7. I never really thought about it. I am too busy making music.
  8. I deleted number 2. 3 does not exit on my system CbB still picked up the settings from "%programdata%\cakewalk\cakewalk Core\arranger%progdata%" Yes, it does not make sense, but it is what it is. Those are the colour codes.
  9. It's HEX ARGB converted to decimal. Or put another way, 4278190080 + (65536 * red_value) + (256 * green_value) + blue_value (where the colour values are 0 to 255 respectively )
  10. You can edit them by modifying the sectionTypes.json file with a standard text editor This file is located here: %ProgramData%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Arranger
  11. Strum GS-2 has also been updated. It's now at v2.4.2 See: https://www.applied-acoustics.com/support/ to list the version numbers of all AAS synths Log in here https://www.applied-acoustics.com/portal/products/ to download a single installer for all of your AAS products
  12. Not necessarily. There are many other instruments that have been released for Sampletank that are not included in ST Max
  13. Sampletank 4 is not crashing on my ancient system (configured as per signature) Are you using Sampletank 4.21? How many parts are you loading into a single instance (I try to keep it at 4)? (might want to start a new thread)
  14. Sounds like what you would get if you normalised a selection where that selection has no discernible audio present. It is simply raising the noise floor because that is all that is present. Is this a multi-track project? Is there a some auto normalising along with some gating going on in the signal chain somewhere?
  15. Check for any plugins that have reverted to non activated status. I know Meldaproduction plugins do this when a demo version expires.
  16. Please allow custom, per VST, controller names, not just numbers as they appear in the controller lanes PRV. Yes, I know this can be done globally. We can also have custom names for external synths via ins files. However, it would be nice if we could have the ability to rename controllers as they appear in the PRV for the many VSTi plugins available( they no longer necessarily have to follow the GM standard). And don't tell me to “just use automation and name those”. Many of us still use controllers as they provide more flexibility for MIDI editing.
  17. Try checking for stray CC64> 127 without corresponding CC64> 0 events in any MIDI tracks controlling the VSTis that manifest this issue. Maybe head to Preferences - MIDI - Playback and Recording, to try adjusting Prepare Using N Millisecond Buffers - mine is set to 200ms (using system specs as per my signature) and I do not have this issue with any plugins. I am assuming you are using version 2022.6 Build 028 of Cakewalk by Bandlab.
  18. I might be wrong, but I think what the OP is after is similar to the the Reassign modes for the voice sorting that is available in Native Instrument’s Massive X To quote page 36 of the Massive X user guide: “Reassign mode detects when you play the same note and allocates the same voice to the same note. This is good for piano and is particularly useful when you are trying to mimic acoustic behaviour, as it won’t cut off the pitch.”
  19. Try Philharmonik 2 with Sampletank 4.21 vst2
  20. Some people still use MIDI driven external gear.... Or they like to work with just MIDI events for their synths.

I turfed BA ages ago and CbB has never gone in to demo mode. Also, CbB refreshes the activation with every update.
  22. Are you using the latest version of the Ilok Manager (which is 5.5.2.3879)
  23. That looks more like what an expression pedal would generate (continuous values between 0 and 127) A sustain pedal usually sends 0 or 127 only. I just did a quick test with the latest CbB and my sustain pedal definitely only transmitted CC64 0 or 127 Are you sure you do not have any CC remapping plugins active at all?
