  1. As I noted, you are talking of a product that was pre Roland ownership, from the year 2000. It is not surprising that they have no record, Cakewalk Inc was purchased by Roland, then sold to Gibson, who then dumped the product. Fortunately someone picked up the Intellectual property rights to the code, along with someone else, rescuing as much history as possible. Why not try Cakewalk by Bandlab any historic projects you have will open in it. The interface has changed but the basic paradigm is the same.
  2. If you know what you old email was provide support@cakewalk.com with that they may be able to assist.
  3. @SUMIT SIMLAI two things to consider. 1. SONAR X1 Producer is not a Bandlab product. Bandlab Technologies did not buy any aspect of Cakewalk Inc, only the th IP of the code base, no products, no responsibility or liability to existing products or customers. 2. It stopped being supported by its owner, Gibson, in November 2017 when they dropped the whole Cakewalk Product line. You should be able to login to your old Cakewalk account and download all the required files. If you cannot remember your old username and password try contacting support@cakewalk.com, providing proof of ownership etc, they may be able to help you
  4. @henkejs do you have any other audio devices or drivers active? Try disabling them all, HDMI, Realtek etc. and trying again.
  5. You do Realise that X3 became SONAR Platinum, which after having the IP sold, became Cakewalk by Bandlab which has matured into Cakewalk Sonar. Which to simplify it, means they are all built on the same code base, or put another way Cakewalk Sonar is just an updated version of X3, probably exactly where X3 would have ended up if Gibson hadn't had their little hissy fit in November of 2017, and did what they did so many time before to software they acquired. The big difference is it now appears to be owned by an owner and a company that cares, rather than a company who really didn't.
  6. @Cannimagine unfortunately there is no connection between SONAR Platinum and the new Sonar. Different owners.
  7. @Murray Webster, subject to being corrected by the "expert" when recording ideally you are looking to achieve something called the Total Round Trip time. Ideally that is around 10 to 12 ms as that is the average latency that is undetected by the human ear. Apparently some Sonar radar operators can detect better. A guitarist standing 10 feet from his amp experiences approximately 10 ms of latency. My question is why are you using such a low sample level. Many people achieve good results at 96, 128, 256, I suggest increasing your samples to a significantly higher figure. If you still have issues try downloading the free Resplendent LatencyMon which might help with identifying where the latency is being introduced.
  8. @Sock Monkey whatever, you try running an underpowered cpu, say a two core 1,5 ghz at 96 samples. Your CPU dictates how fast it can process data, it really is that simple. But I have noted how much of an expert you are.
  9. @Murray Webster as Latency both Audio and MIDI are a correlation between Computer power and MIDI/Audio hardware, without knowing what your computer is we cannot help. Personally I use a Focusrite Clarett Pre 8 USB and Arturia Keylab 88 Mk 1 without any latency issues. Running at 96 samples and capable of real-time recording with FX.
  10. @midist you do realise SONAR X3 is unsupported software? The company, (Gibson), that owns it dropped support for the product in 2017.
  11. @Magic Russ have you checked your original account? If you owned a legitimate licence all the downloads and activation information will be available there. If not provide proof of ownership to support@cakewalk.com and they may be able to assist you.
  12. @MIDInco I suggest you send this to support@cakewalk.com, included a project but do not include any audio. (Audio inflates file size and serves no useful purpose)
  13. No surprises as Cakewalk has only had screen sets in the last 7 years.
  14. @lapasoa try keyboard shortcut F "fit tracks to window". If not define dissolves.
  15. Thanks @AndyB01, @KSband, @freddy j, @jwnicholson78, @Larry T., and @DeeringAmps. You are all most kind.
  16. Loosing a furry friend is always tricky, I hadn't seen Missi for several weeks due to my health, which is why this hurt, another 5 days and she wouldhave come home. Thank you for your kind words and thoughts.
  17. Thank you Mark. Sometimes you just have to take a deep breath.
  18. Thank you, rough is true, Ms W was not unexpected, but Missi total blow. Your kind words are appreciated
  19. Thank you for your ears. For the firstv20 years of being with Ms W we didn't have a dog, then Ms W stopped working due to health issues and we took on a a chocolate Lab who was destined to be murdered.
  20. Missi was a strange dog from the first day we adopted her from the Dogs Trust. She redefined chilled, she settled into our home like it had always been hers. Unfortunately on the 5th of February two weeks after my partner Ms W died. On returning from the stables my daughter in law, who, with my son, had been looking after her, Missi, whilst I had been in hospital for a little open heart surgery found her in the kitchen. She had died, we have no idea why or from what, she had been fine when they went out in the morning. This is my tribute to her it may seem sad but Missi was super laid-back, loved to walk, didn't need a lead, just happy to sniff. Toys used in Missi Arturia Stage 73 Toontrack EZB Bass Fretless Superior Drummer 3 Avatar kit Cherry Audio DCO-106 FX Boz Digital's +10dB Compressor Overloud Breverb Arturia Delay Tape-201 She was between 12 and 14 years old, Labrador cross probably a English shorthaired pointer.
  21. May your Sol orbit completion day bring you a little of what you need, possibly some cake, and the key to playing that Am right at last. 😜😎
