@AB99 96 gig should not give you any issues, do you also having a separate projects drive?
-
Memory limitation, i.e. a machine with only 8 gig of RAM with two projects both using large sample libraries of even as small as 3 gig each. The OS takes around 4, plus the 6 from the projects is 10 not including the projects themselves. I suspect there would be some disk thrashing if you kept swapping between projects. Whilst most people have larger RAM amounts some people still use machines with only 8gig.

Thanks Tom, he continues to be slightly disoriented something about one beat to many.

As already noted more information about your system please?

@aleo I have noticed historically Envelopes can get the knickers in a twist when superimposed over the track clip, have you tried clicking on the Envelope gadget Bottom left of the Track to expand the Envelope into its own lane. The other thing to look for is duplicated or spurious Nodes
-
@aleo have you reported these to support with an example project?

@User 905133 disabled automatic updates, then create a restore point before applying the update. Personally I do that for all OS, driver, and critical application updates.

As far as I can establish the reactivation proccess is exactly the same. If you use the product regularly, with your computer online then reactivation will occur automatically. If you prefer to remain isolated by keeping your computer offline, then reactivation is possible through the CPC, offline proccess. However I have to say I have no experience of how to use the offline activation as my machine stays online, when it is on. Just use a good AV/anti malware product, stay away from click bait, stay way from websites of questionable content. Microsoft defender is a perfectly good product. Personally I use Malwarebytes.

@IRON RAIN have you run the free Resplendent LatencyMon to see if there is something dragging your machine down? What Anti virus and/or anti malware program do you use? Are you on a laptop with only one disk and a WiFi network connection. Whilst you can use WiFi for networking, it is not advisable as it can under certain circumstances have a very negative effect on performance.

What is the deal with Sonar and Next
Wookiee replied to DescendingIntoVertigo's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
My guess would be that the graphics update to the Quad Curve flyout had yet to be completed. It has been repeatedly stated that the GUI update is an ongoing work in progress. Meaning the main PC module, the image on the left, has been changed to vector graphics and the flyout, the image on the right is still using PNG images. Perhaps @msmcleod could clarify. -
To put it as simply as possible, and to actually repeat what has been said by the staff themselves. All re-activation methods, of the software known as Cakewalk by Bandlab or CbB, will cease, depending on how you say a date the first of August 2025, or the 1st of the 8th 2025, or 1/08/2025 or 08/01/2025 (for the Americans) or 20250801.

A little but creating good solo strings from string libraries is tricky. If you intend to do more there are a couple of really good, fairly priced libraries. Has the library got any key switches they can real add to the authenticity of such libraries. But don't worry this works.

Love the mix Barry, very clear and crisp. Good instrument definition. Excellent song writing too. What did you use for the violin?

I have, I have also worn appropriate glasses for computer work, none of the numerous iterations of Cakewalk's GUI have ever caused me visual problems. -
@CSistine apparently you don't need to be online once activated, but your activation will still expire as it, the countdown, is internal not external. This was explained in the main forum a couple of weeks ago by a senior staff member.

@happen135 would you care to share what plugins are active? If no plugins then you need to share a project with support.

Perfectly valid suggestion to someone who has clearly stated they don't like the way it looks, or did you not read the entire thread, no surprise there. Would you buy a car, or cooker, fridge, boat, guitar, synth, you don't like the look of?
