@dreamcache I had exactly the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy 43 Mini LED UHD gaming monitor. Not only Cakewalk but other programs did not reopen in the samecsize or location. I susit my be a driver issue withnthe monitor. I gave up with it in the end. I now use 2 Viewsonic 32" UHD monitors, no problems at all.

@dreamcache, do you use the same template for all your projects? If so try using a different one. Personally the main Cakewalk window opens exactly where I closed it. What size monitor are you using? Do you have windows text scaling enabled? I notice in your video you are letting Windows auto resize the main Cakewalk Window, what happens if you manually resize by dragging the window to you preferred size?

Roland actually requested that Cakewalk stop providing the installer for TTS-1 as they no longer support it. However if you have an old SONAR installer you can install it from there, just do a custom install. Then reinstall the new Sonar to reinstall the more recent shared libraries.

Well I don't know what hospital you experienced, but my recent stay it was far from quite. Even in the side ward, just me, the rest of the ward sounded like war had broken out.

@dreamcache are you referring to the layout within Sonar? If so are you using Workspaces? The layout is dictated by the Workspace, to fix your problem you have to options. 1. Don't use Workspaces set your Workspace to none. 2. Once you have arranged your windows save your Workspace. Note plugins will all was open where the last one was closed, irrespective of the plugin.

@Steve Moddelmog TTS-1 is no longer supported by the owners Roland. Which is one of the reasons it has been removed from the installer. As noted by @Bass Guitar it has shown itself to be unstable in certain situations. There are alternatives and just as free.

Not me @jesse g I make no assumptions I ask questions first, no someone else just reported your post enough times for it to auto hide. I won't comment about the sad individual.

@icu81b4 it is more likely a plugin in the project. Try opening the project in safe mode rejecting plugins in turn until it doesn't crash.

@Chaps as was stated in an earlier post, Overloud's Guitar sim has a tuner built in to its GUI.

@Shaan I have to ask have you considered why the track(s) not in focus is darker and more transparent. You do know you can display a list of the tracks on the right of the PRV this allows you to quickly switch between tracks. You can also use that list so that only one track, the focus track, is visible at one time. Most software I use that allows the display of multiple tracks, only the focus track is front and centre, the others are either grey (Melodyne) or darkly transparent.

@Howard B you need to clarify which version of software you are using, either; Cakewalk by Bandlab, which will cease issuing reactivation codes after the 1st of August 2025 Or Cakewalk Sonar free or subscription, both of which will require reactivation every 30 days.

No, Aux tracks appear to be available in the Free tier. @David Baay that works, it's how I would do it. What I was trying to point out is using an Aux track is the preferred method, then directing the metronometo it.

@pozzioThe method suggested by @mark skinner is the recommended method.

@devakes are the "missing" plugins directory in the VST scanner scan paths, I suspect not. Provided you installed the VST3 versions try a reset and rescan of your plugins. Say yes to the scary message it asks.

The Overloud guitar amp SIM VST plugin has a guitar tuner as part of its GUI.

@Jerry Pellegrino the reason for the visual difference is how the GUI is generated. CbB uses PNG & BMP images. Cakewalk Sonar uses vector graphics.

@AB99 96 gig should not give you any issues, do you also having a separate projects drive?
