I am only quoting several different sources. Even if you half the figure it is still 50 million. But as my partner, who worked in market research, you prove anything with the right maths. Just remember not everyone feels the need to come to these sorts of forums to vent.

Not all 100 million registered Bandlab users visit these forums.

Virtual instruments sometimes very quiet
Wookiee replied to R. Hancke's topic in Instruments & Effects
@RH83 what is the velocity of the MIDI notes, not the MIDI volume? Many synths use MIDI velocity to control volume of the instrument. -
Sonar bug? Drag/drop Midi stops audio engine?
Wookiee replied to Salvatore Sorice's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
@Sal Sorice I suggest you report either on the website reporting page or by email to support@cakewalk.com include the project, include any additional information you have, i. e. What version of Kontakt, what library you are using, if the project has audio already recorded don't include that it is not needed. -
The Controller does have two ports, one over USB and the other 5 Pin DIN. On my main computer I only use the USB port. The 5 pin DIN output goes to another computer altogether, via a PreSonus Audiobox USB, the MIDI DIN input on the keylab is not connected consequently it is unused.

Have you reported it either via the report page or directly to support@cakewalk.com? Such a persistent problem should be reported with a sample project, no need to include an audio.

@msmcleod I have noticed when recording MIDI with my Arturia Keylab 88 Mk1 that with certain Arturia instruments, if I look at the events list there is SYSEX data dumped at the end. During recording I have not used any of the sliders or knobs for automation. I haven't initiated a SYSEX dump it has just appeared. I normally delete it and it doesn't reappear even if I record more MIDI. The only thing I can think of is that I pressed the transport stop on the controller rather than use the computer keyboard.

Thanks for listening, I like to share the toys I use.
-
@Steve Moddelmog check the volume is not being zeroed. Check to see if zero controllers is set in Preferences, some Arturia synths suffer is this is enabled, Stage 73 is one.

Due to one users persistence at pushing the envelope this thread has founds its personal rabbit hole. As for a FAQ there is a dedicated webpage a faq here is not required.

The price structure has been made quite clear to you personally and anyone else who reads your posts. But for clarity I will repeat specially for you, the subscription service is quite clear. 1. Currently special offer $99.00 for the year, normally $149.50 2. Monthly $14.95 per month. The thumbs down is because you know it, you know full well there is no price for a perpetual licence but you just can't stop nagging can you. If it is going to happen, and what you completely miss is I would like to see a perpetual licence but it is out of my control, Bandlab Technologies will make that decision no one else, no amout of user badgering is going to change that fact.

Just as a matter of interest how many of your listeners have a full Atmos playback system? I don't mean a sound bar, with a Micky mouse sub, that pretends to produce Atmos, I mean a real 5.1.2 or 5.1.4 or 7.1.4 or 11.2.4 true Atmos surround system? I have yet to hear a quality peice of music in Atmos. Atmos great for films flying effects wizzy wizbangs but not honest music. (This is of course just my own furry opinion not intended to influence others thinking much)

Nice Ross, thanks for the comment on soundcloud for mine, for some strange reason it will not let me reply1. Like the drum FX on this, very triblem mix works well here.

SONAR Platinum is a Gibson product jointly owned with Cakewalk Inc. Your agreement is with Gibson and Cakewalk Inc. Cakewalk Inc. was/may still be a totally owned subsidiary of Gibson Inc. Bandlab Technologies did not purchase Cakewalk Inc., consequently it didn't buy any of its dependencies. Bandlab Technologies are under no obligation to honour any agreements between users and Gibson/Cakewalk Inc. It should probably be noted that Cakewalk SONAR Platinum, by Gibson is a completely different product to Cakewalk Sonar by Bandlab under copyright, it just happens to use a shared historical code base, much of which has probably changed over the last 6 years.

New Sonar, just so I have this right...
Wookiee replied to Timothy Connelly's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Edited to correct a small errata, but software you can not save or export from is not much use is it? -
New Sonar, just so I have this right...
Wookiee replied to Timothy Connelly's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
@Timothy Connelly it is a subscription so if you stop paying the software stops working, fully, you lose saving and export. However you do also get access to Cakewalk Next (PC & Mac versions), the expanded version of Bandlab web based DAW. Along with Bandlab's libraries of Audio and MIDI loops and clips. All of which may be of no interest to you, but is included in the subscription price. -
Well that's another word for the reference guide, because the reference guide is a document. Many organisations refer to useful information in written format as documents.
-
Thanks Andy I did consider that kind of ending but... thanks for the ears and comments.
-
MIDI is controlled by the MIDI clock, as pitch is not dictated by MIDI tempo. Sonar can extract tempo from Audio, just drag the Audio clip to the time rule and it will create a tempo map.
-
You have the option under help to install the reference guide. There is a link in this forum which I have on my desktop. Not check recently but the Cakewalk Software Centre used to install Cakewalk stuff probably has a link too.
