  1. The default path is in %appdata% which is a hidden folder. To get to the default location type "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\Plug-in Menu Layouts" in Windows explorer path entry. If free disk space runs low, the OS may compress folders.
  2. Did you activate the plug-in after installing?
  3. Is the folder containing the layouts compressed? The path to the layouts is defined in Preferences > File > Folder Locations Plug-in Layouts
  4. In the Plug-in Manager, what Plug-in Category (the column on the left) is Reason Rack in?
  5. By adding to or creating a layout for synths separate from FX plug-ins.
  6. Is it possible the layout contains a mix of FX and synth plug-ins and the first plug-in in the layout is an FX? If so, the synth plug-ins will not be displayed. While the Plug-in Manager allows mixing FX and synth plug-ins in the same layout, the DAW does not.
  7. To set the path click the gear in the upper right of Aquarius then click the Installation tab If all projects use the same sample rate, there is no need to have all the samples in the nebula repository. Deleting unused samples may shrink the install footprint considerably.
  8. It is unlikely the result of updating but rolling back is not going to fix it either. Check the folders in %appdata%\Cakewalk and make sure they are not compressed.
  9. Try entering the number directly If you prefer to see them in the dropdown Open "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\master.ins" in a text editor Search for ".Controller Names" Under ".Controller Names" modify the [Standard] section as desired. Or use Preferences > MIDI > Instruments Click on Define... Open the Controller Names folder Edit the Standard entry
  10. This is in the VST drop down in the standard header above the plug-in UI. AFAIK, there are only a few functions unique to the plug-in manager layout and exclude list maintenance export/import for Cakewalk preset manager some additional info about plug-ins such as CLSID and vendor name. It is the only place where DX install paths are displayed. It does not support the scanning sandbox or logging. Pretty sure it will be retired at some point once its features are replicated elsewhere.
  11. The Cakewalk Pitch Shifter was last bundled with SONAR X2 There is another that goes back away too called Time/Pitch Stretch 2. The curious thing is although the binary for this plug-in (Stretch.ax) is in the Platinum core installer, the only file I see installed in the Platinum folder is the help file, Stretch.hlp. I do have Stretch.ax in X2 and X3 folders so like all 64bit DX plug-ins, it is available on my PC. It is only available as a destructive process in the clip context menu under Process Effect > Audio Effects > Time (Sort by Category layout)
  12. Why are you using BandLab Assistant to update CbB? It has not been necessary for some time. Starting with 2020.09, CbB has an update option on its help menu. If you are updating from a version older than 2020.09, try the Cakewalk Web Installer.
  13. Melodyne does not work in real time. Dupler does.
  14. Joney - is not the same as Regardless, there is no mention of Win11.
  15. Try working right to left on the timeline when adding tempo changes. IOW set where the tempo returns to the original tempo before adding the tempo change.

    No Sound Output

This image in the OP is normal for a PC without a MIDI controller attached. Use the virtual controller or mouse to enter MIDI data.
  17. My guess is the interfaces are switching sample rates. Possibly due to an incompatible driver. The last supported OS appears to be Win7.
  18. This comes does the audio driver buffer size and plug-ins in the project. Usually this means setting buffer size to 128 or less although some can tolerate a higher setting. My guess is you are using the PC sound chip so, on Win10 it means using WASAPI Exclusive driver mode in Cakewalk. Bypassing all the plug-ins using the FX button in the Mix module will eliminate any plug-in delay compensation. While reading about the FX button check out the PDC button.
  19. Here is a method to automate any control (including manual mute) on multiple tracks. Although it may be simpler to route all the tracks into an aux track/bus and automate its mute.
  20. Currently this is a 5-step process Select All Select From Now Enable Ripple Edit All Delete Disable Ripple Edit If this fails to delete everything from Now submit the project to support for analysis along with the steps used. All five steps could be performed in a single autohotkey script bound to some keystroke combination.
  21. IIRC we discussed this. Thanks for making the change.
  22. The Cakewalk preset manager (the one on left in the standard header above the plug-in UI) stores its data in the registry. There are export and import functions in the Plug-in Manager. By default, ProChannel Presets are stored in "C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\ProChannel Presets" Plug-ins with their own preset managers could store files almost anywhere.
