  1. That is fine but not here please. This thread and area of the forum are not the place for UI redesign requests. There is a dedicated area for feature requests. This area is intended for discussing themes for the existing software.
  2. BA is not maintained by the CbB team so releases notes would have to come from a different group. I don't the notes are available to the public. Historically hotfixes are not reflected in the release notes. My understanding is build 27 fixes problems with mix recall and check for updates.
  3. 2019.01 Build 27 released today should fix this issue

    No MIDI input

No, this is not normal. Possibly related to the stability issues you have reported elsewhere.
  5. A different drum synth is probably the biggest factor here. Although you may want to look at the MIDI in the Event View to see if there is something you are missing by inspecting the clips in the PRV.
  6. The last version of SONAR including V-Vocal was X2. V-Vocal was a Roland product. It was not sold to Gibson so, it was not part of the BandLab purchase.
  7. Related or not, one question per thread please. The Theme Editor is on the Add-ons dialog launched by clicking "Install Add-ons..."
  8. The structure of a DP program starts with a sample or sfz file which may contain many samples loaded into an Element. The Element contains all the settings shown on the DP UI for that element. Up to 4 Elements make up a program. There is no way to save an entire program containing more than one element as a Element. Only the individual elements of the program may be saved as Elements.
  9. They may not be included in newer installs. My DP folders were built over the history of the product and there is an Elements folder, C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Programs\Elements. The 26 files are all from 2005.
  10. The piano keyboard mode of the virtual controller already has position sensitive velocity. I just tested it by recording a small clip clicking on a key when the mouse moving gradually from the bottom of a key to the top. the bottom of the key sends 127 the top of the key sends 97.
  11. Please make sure to mark threads answered in the part of the forum when you receive an acceptable answer.
  12. Yes, this is a job for the Theme Editor. View Background (odd) and View Background (even) are set in Track view > Clips Pane

    No MIDI input

Maybe Don't see many threads like this but allowing the program to restore the default file seems to work every time.

    Delete or rename %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core\TTSSEQ.INI
  15. Gibson/Cakewalk produced a SONAR Reference Guide pdf around once a year and a chm file with every release of SONAR. Both of these files were reformatted snap shots of the web-based help. The local help (chm file) option was removed from CbB preferences. BandLab continues to provide the web-based help with a much smaller staff. When BandLab purchased Cakewalk IP from Gibson there was some discussion of producing a downloadable version of the web-based help. To date, this has not happened. Bear in mind, there is a list of tasks for the current BandLab staff including a bunch of yet to be released plug-ins. Each of these plug-ins require documentation updates too.
  16. There is a bug in the process. My understanding is all new project uploads should be private.
  17. Set the Track Control drop down to "All" and adjust the track size to see the controls
  18. Essential provides a limited number of detection algorithms. Read about them here Polyphonic material requires Melodyne Editor or Studio. Watch for sales.
  19. If Bias (or any FX plug-in) works with MIDI data make sure the "Enable MIDI Input" is selected in the VST2/3 drop down above the plug-in UI. When enabled, the plug-in will be listed in MIDI track input drop downs. Make sure input echo is enabled on the MIDI track Any plug-in may use MIDI for automation via Remote Control and ACT
  20. For future reference, when a "General Error" is encountered, try starting and stopping the transport then save.
  21. To create a new project at the same directory level as the original. On the main menu click File > "Save As" Click the icon pointed to by 1 Enter the new project name in the field pointed to by 2 Notice the Project and Audio Path fields at the bottom of the dialog are automatically filled in with the new paths.
  22. There should be a Display drop down, Audio and MIDI tab at the bottom of the inspector. They are not shown in your image above. If they are not there, it may be the display resolution is too low. The minimum resolution required for CbB is 1280x800.
