I don't understand vendors thinking that everyone wants to play these possibly time wasting games. I for one have no interest and it makes me want to put these vendors on my "do not buy from list" (but again, maybe it's just me - as I'm also wasting my time posting this 🙂 )

I agree, and if I'm looking at something to buy and I have to think "time will tell", then I'm not interested. Seems like adding all the things you may want would be very expensive. Synth = $200, 8 current effects @ $49 each = $400, already $600 - and that doesn't include wavetables, sound packs or cloud access. I think they are way outside of what most people would consider (just my thoughts). So not sure they really did themselves any favors with this new pricing.

I feel that once we pass Sept, 23rd, and people have issues, they will have to find a solution. These are paid for licenses, and just the fact that they changed their authorization method, and your software becomes useless (possibly - if you switch machines) seems like a backlash just waiting to happen. I'm on 11 (which I rarely use) and am not being "blackmailed" (as you appropriately put it) into spending more money, just to use what I already have.

They did for me. Sale ends tomorrow. (I also had the free Go2 synth I got from Time+Space a few years ago upgrading Komplete) So 4 free plugins. Got eXplorer-8 for $74

I'm logged in and try to see what the code would do, and in the the cart says: Invalid code. Note that some voucher codes requires that you are logged in.

I transitioned to this in the past year, very few software purchases, except ones, I plan to actually get used. Even stopped downloading most free ones.
