  1. Another great video and tune Nigel - I enjoyed it. I liked the juxtaposition between current and old views. Thanks! Steve
  2. Hi Mark - sounds really great. Nice stereo spread in the phones and excellent performance. Great mix...and .... COWBELL! Who could ask for more? I could picture the band playing on the stage in my head - always the sign of a quality production.
  3. Nice laid back and tasteful playing...I like the horn harmonies.
  4. This is really interesting Lynn. I like all those guitar lines - especially that backward one ( I think it is reversed anyway). I like strange thought provoking lyrics, and this sure is that. I like when you can build up your own story while listening. Personally, I think something in there needs to provide some sort of anchor - it's just personal taste, not that I hear anything that doesn't fit...Maybe it's just a driving bass and drum I am imagining, not quite sure. I like the ending refrain - I think it brings the varied musical ideas into focus nicely before the end. Good work!
  5. Yes! That is really helpful. Back in 2013, my system was pretty hefty, but these days it is showing its age a little. Still, 10 years is longer than I have gone without an upgrade. Freezing AUXs will probably take me into 2025 LOL
  6. This was February's project. When I was a kid, I was fascinated by outer space - I guess I still am today. Maybe some of the lyrics will raise a memory/vibe from your own past if you, like me, are old as dirt and went to college for engineering of some sort. https://baselines.com/?p=6756
  7. Hi Lord Tim - thank you - I spent the afternoon setting up the AUX and Patch tracks necessary in my new project template. It took a long time and some critical thinking, but I am hoping it will work out well for my next project. It would have been so much easier/cleaner with the BUSS folders. And hey, since I went to the effort of setting everything up as AUX tracks/Patch points, Cakewalk will probably implement BUSS folders in the next release. LOL.
  8. I did some searching, and I guess other people had brought this up and offered some workarounds, but it would be really cool if you could actually implement BUSS folders that work the same way as track folders. It would really simplify my life. It seems like it would programmatically be an easy thing to clone from the track folders code, but what do I know? Perhaps it even exists now and I have missed it.
  9. That was just hilarious. Thanks for sharing. Is there actually smoke coming out of those sneakers? And the Bass Player....whattt???? And the Cannon shot. I'm just speechless
  10. My band covered this song when we were first starting out...this brought back some great memories. Your version sounds good to me. Here are a couple of things you might look into. It took me a long time to learn that whenever I use anything (compression, eq, fx,etc), when I get to a point where I think it's good, I back off everything I added by at least half. LOL - it saves a lot of time coming in the next day and doing it. Also, I am not a fan of high/low pass filters, but they do have their place when used in moderation. I think you could open up and separated the sound a little if you tried some of this on some of the tracks. I'd also make some of the tracks more staccato and less droning. If you are using Cakewalk, look into the Sonitus compressor. Even after all this time, it is still my go to for handling mild gainstaging. I think that the interface for this particular plugin is incredibly useful and tells me exactly what I want to know.
  11. Hi Freddy - thank you for listening and leaving feedback!
  12. Thank you! - It's so true, a lot went on in our lifetimes - hold on tight I think a lot more is to come!!
  13. Hi Bjorn - thanks for listening. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a message.
  14. I REALLY enjoyed that. The photography was stunning and the music fit perfectly. I almost felt like I was there. The Shetland looked a lot like a drummer we once auditioned LOL...except no cigarette hanging out of the mouth. Thank you so much for posting it. I liked the Cemetery shot you got. I bet those sheep never knew the whole world would be watching them.
  15. Well that comment made my day! Thank you so much Lynn!
  16. I guess it's kinda pop, a little jazz - not sure. I couldn't come up with a drum part I liked, so I left this forkable on Bandlab. https://www.bandlab.com/post/d70c0284-aca8-ed11-a8e0-000d3a3f8f45 Thanks for your time!
  17. Nice flow / tempo to this one - good work!
  18. Nice heartfelt piece Wookiee, I enjoyed listening to it.
  19. Hi Lynn - thanks so much for your positive feedback on this! Steve
  20. HI Andy - this is all I see at the top of the post - evidently I am not following, but I still get email notifications. Under the notifications there is an option I have on: Someone I am following makes a post - but I think if I turn that off, I won't get notified of new songs by others. I just want to stop this one post from alerting me when somebody comments on it. Thanks for your info. Steve
  21. The only things listed there are mostly my posts. It's funny, I don't think I ever followed this post. Maybe when other people I follow post here, I get an email? The only way I can think of not getting the emails is to unfollow those who post - not ideal.
