  3. Nice list overall. I must say there are more points raised that I agree with than disagree. You obviously put some thought into it and use Cakewalk by BandLab enough to bring comments from different modules together. Good "to do" list @Some Guy
  4. Wow, Xpand!2 is a 1.3 GB download in compressed format. That's a lot of multi-timbrel sounds. I just couldn't resist at $8.39 US. Thanks @Starship Krupa and @filo. Appreciate it guys.
  5. @Starship Krupa I just checked and yes, found it on sale at PlugIn Boutique https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/64-Virtual-Instrument/1560-Xpand-2/?a_aid=5abf3e9769e18&gclid=CjwKCAjwlovtBRBrEiwAG3XJ-0ZrNyVMHFW_h7qSDX3e3gPWKjNxAmBuMYEhPXdocH-CcF2BwNA7CBoC2OEQAvD_BwE and here is the developer's webpage: https://www.airmusictech.com/product/xpand2#.XaPCSH97nZ5 Thanks for sharing that thought Starship Krupa! That is a great suggestion.
  6. Another good video tutorial Mike. Thank you!
  7. @Chuck E Baby, thank you for the compliment. I enjoy reading your posts for the same reasons.
  8. There never has been a TTS-2. My understanding is TTS-1 is a variation of an earlier Roland software sound module that Roland called HyperCanvas. Roland built it as an OEM product for Cakewalk. Both products replaced an even earlier software solution called Virtual Sound Canvas or VSC. The TTS-1 was first released in 2004. Roland currently has a competing retail product called Sound Canvas VA that sells for about $125 US. Read more about it here: https://www.roland.com/global/products/sound_canvas_va/ Roland also has a subscription model of the Sound Canvas VA. It is located here: https://www.rolandcloud.com/catalog/legendary/sound-canvas-va Yamaha also released a software based midi sound module but I don't know much about it except it existed but is no longer available. I suspect your TTS-1 files are corrupt. I would delete all my existing TTS-1 files from the computer, reboot the computer to clear memory then get a fresh download of CbB using BandLab Assistant. BandLab Assistant should see the files are missing and replace them. The easiest way to find the files and delete them is to use Windows File Explorer to search your primary drive using the search term TTS-1.
  9. Ever watch an orchestra give a performance? They use sheet music! Ever watch a marching band? They use sheet music too! Ever see photos of session musicians? They use lead and chord sheets too! Guitar Pro? Uses tab. I don't know music theory. I don't read music but I can read guitar chord diagrams to learn whatever chords I don't know in a song I'm not familiar with. Sheet music, chord tracks, etc are not everything but chord tracks can be significant workflow aids. Use to be you couldn't collaborate with musicians in different time zones, states, countries or continents but now you can. Anything that can help level the playing field so musicians with different skill sets and skill levels can collaborate is welcome in my mind.
  10. Both of you, thank you for your posts. The more users that post of an issue in the same thread then the more information the developers can collect without having to spend time searching the forum.
  11. Chances are your older projects were created with a 32 bit program. The Music Creator programs I started with are 32 bit and include a 32 bit version of TTS-1. Sonar was available in both 32 and 64 bit versions. The Sonar Command Center automatically downloaded whichever version matched your operating system. If your operating system was 64 bit Command Center allowed you to download both 32 and 64 bit versions. When you load both versions you also get 32 and 64 bit TTS-1.
  12. Oh Oh ... 🥴 Some users are reporting an issue with fade after the hot fix. Judging from the reports it appears that whatever fade selection you used prior to the hotfix is the only fade selection that works.
  13. Music Radar has turned on their Back Friday webpage: https://www.musicradar.com/news/best-black-friday-and-cyber-monday-deals
  14. @Base 57, I see in the main Cakewalk by BandLab forum section on page 4 of the feedback thread additional users have reported the same issue.
  15. @Spectrum424 & @Base 57, What version of CbB are you using: the original 2019-09 or October 09 2019-09 hotfix?
  16. @Jon L. Jacobi, Thanks for your follow up post. What do you think of @MusicMan11712 (aka Dr. Steve)'s suggestion of placing optional workflow operation preferences into lens settings? How do you envision the developers implementing the feature?
  17. Erik, Nice idea. Consistency is always welcome!
  18. @David Pilkington, If you don't mind, I'd like to know what website(s) you used for your downloads.
  19. @Dare Rihter, I can understand your disappointment after reading all the issues you're experiencing. Sorry you're having so much trouble with the new update. However, Feedback Loop is the wrong section of the forum to post if you want help to get the program working as advertised. This (Feedback Loop) section is for users to suggest and discuss future features and enhancements May I suggest you repost in the Cakewalk by BandLab forum section. I'm posting a link to that section below. Also, while you provided your computer specifications you forgot to mention the operating system your computer uses. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/2-cakewalk-by-bandlab/
  20. Here's the update release notes: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/downloads/ozone_standard/o-std-release-notes.html
  21. @Jake Did you rework the audio? I just viewed the video again. In the video summary you mentioned your speech was slower and it seems to me that it is. Great video. You pack a lot of information into one eleven minute video. I'm looking forward to your next video.
  22. Silly question but my immediate thought was, "What if you have an audio interface with 8, 16 or even more inputs?" This option would kind of put a kink into their workflow, wouldn't it?
  23. More of the multitrack audio you hear originates from midi data than you might believe. In many cases the musicians play instruments that capture a performance in both midi data and audio. Having both the audio and midi performance gives the publishing company great flexibility. The publishing company can use the original audio or if tracks are needed in a different key or tempo generate new audio using the midi data and professional quality sound modules or plug-ins. Capturing performances in both audio and midi is the best of both worlds. The midi data can be collected after the fact if needed but in most cases there is no need because the data is collected up front.
  24. Nigel Thank you for your comment. I'm aware of their stellar reputation. I've heard nothing but good about Purrfect Audio computers. Jim Roseberry has been very generous with his time and expertise in both this forum and the former Sonar forum. I've no doubt their service after the sale is excellent.
  25. Have you submitted a support request? Maybe include a screen shot of the audio setting screens. Maybe force a mini dump (how to directions are in the mini dump link in my signature). These are the kind of issues that drive users batty. Even if the underlying cause is outside of Cakewalk's control and responsibility, the developers might find a more elegant way to handle the situation.
