  1. Ahem. The way I read that (and I hope I am wrong), someone who owns a license for a single paid product gets the same upgrade benefit as someone (for example) who has paid for 80-90% of the contents of a bundle. Again, I hope I am wrong, but if the new an upgrade pricing plan treats someone who owns a single product the same as someone who has spent hundreds or thousands of dollars or euros for licenses, that is not what I would call a progressive pricing structure to reward customer loyalty.
  2. I think it was someone nicknamed "Lefty." ๐Ÿ˜œ
  3. Letโ€™s cut a deal. Neither of us need it. Neither of us should buy it. So I wonโ€™t buy it if you won't. Earlier (like 5 hours ago) I was 100% onboard with this and gave it a "Great Idea" emoji. "Of course," I thought to myself, "if this were an echo/delay instead of a spring reverb, I knew GAS would get the better of me." Then, it got "The Good Starship Krupa Plug-In Seal of Approval." So I took a look. And wouldn't you know--the Plug-In Boutique freebie-with-purchase is "The Comeback Kid Delay by Baby Audio." Plus I had I had $1.87 in rewards!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Needless to say, I went back on my commitment not to buy it. What can I say? I'm a sucker for yet another Delay/Echo. Plus I got a Spring Reverb. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  4. While I disagree with your assessment of Pigments, I will not try to change your mind. You are entitled to your personal preferences. However, since you just got it, I would encourage you to ask for a refund instead of grumbling that you wasted your money.
  5. I picked up Samplitude Pro X4 around 2018 (before I got the news that Cakewalk had been rescued from the ashes). It never worked properly and was it was impossible to learn after using SONAR/Cakewalk for ages. Since then I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times to give it another shot. It was still problematic for me. Most frustrating was that I couldn't figure out how to install it without the Magix "low-latency" drivers. Each time, it messed up my PC's audio system, and I had to take extraordinary measures to remove it. The last time I finally bought the paid version of Revo Uninstaller. Against my better judgment, I am thinking that for $20 Samplitude Pro X5 might be worth trying. Does anyone know of a way to prevent Samplitude from installing its audio drivers?
  6. Verrrrrrry Interesting. Hope you can help convince the powers that be to offer a really good upgrade offer to loyal IK Customers. How about this: Charge 50 cents for each plug-in/component license already owned to be updated, $1.00 for T-RackS 6 license updates not already owned (up to 30 new licenses ,$2.00 for ones over 30), and a locked in rate of $5.00 per new plug-in/component to be added in the future. Offer this deal for one month with clearly stated dates. The idea is to really reward brand loyalty to those who have been most loyal (as evidenced by past purchases) with a progressive pricing structure.
  7. Descriptions with direct links to the demo, preset breakdown pages.
  8. Please note: (1) You responded to a post from just under 3 years ago. (2) September 23, 2020 is the date of the OP's last post (2nd of two posts).
  9. Proof that Mad Magazine was run by anti-Nixon subversives. What? Me Worry? ๐Ÿคช
  10. Re: joints pulling away due to stress. I have had midi gear usb ports get stressed so much that the joint pulled off (and sometimes ripped off) the board.
  11. BTW, depending on your music and whether or not you have it already, you might want to try the free pack done by the artist who uses the name Alba Ecstacy. If you like the free set (32 ambient presets for Pigments), he also has a set of 75 patches for โ‚ฌ10.00 (includes the 32 free ones**). With both Luftrum and this sound pack, I found a higher percent of sounds I can use (some with with only minor tweaks) than packs I have gotten from Arturia. He also has a video that demos the 64-patch pack, which now includes 75 patches.
  12. I got a Luftrum Sound pack for Pigments that I liked (Luftrum 23). If you have Pigments, but not Luftrum 23, give the videos a listen to decide if they fit your music. I'd describe the sounds as ambient, spacey, Berlin, but that might be just the ones I gravitate to. Worth watching the video to decide for yourself.) PS: I seem to recall I bought it on sale and also got a small additional discount for being a first time customer.
  13. Another gem from the pen of yet another underappreciated poet, Shel Silverstein. Optional Listening: Frank Zappa, Bobby Brown. (Not posted due to controversial and potentially offensive lyrics. Listen at your own risk, but be forewarned: he lampoons lots of stuff that couldn't be lampooned today. "I tell you people, I was not ready when I . . . by the name of Freddie." etc.)
  14. Are they two separate things or did the addition of automation (not just in Cakewalk) mess up how CCs used to work?
  15. "underrated" and "overrated" are click-bait terms. "__________ reacts to _________" is also a click-bait phrase. And they work!!!!!!! JMO: The name of the game is to get as many clicks as possible. Clicks translate into moolah in miniscule amounts that when amassed in humongous numbers might amount to something worthwhile for the content creator. "Don't blame me; the producer made me do it!!!!"
  16. I have used LFOs from Voltage Modular to modulate soft synths hosted in CbB. So I appreciate this newest MFX. Thanks!
  17. I don't think viewers need to guess about what Mike is saying; he has come right out and said it in his recent publicly available (YouTube) videos. Based on his workflow needs, he prefers Studio One. My guess is that if either of the new products meets his objections he would probably do a "pleased to see it" video. No guesses if he will be doing any "I'm sorry to say" videos if the new products disappoint him. As for exporting from Cakewalk, I've only used it a few times, so I would defer to others in this thread who have commented based on their use of the Export Feature. Several years ago, I tested for my own potential needs the improvements in the Cakewalk <==> Bandlab integration. I have many musical ideas that I have started over the years using SONAR/Cakewalk, and over the past few years I have thought about making them available to others to use as building blocks for possible collaborations. So if I follow through on this, my personal "Exit Strategy" might make use of one of the new products in addition to CbB. As I wrote in another thread (maybe a few threads), my favorite feature is Workspaces and I know how to do what I want with them in Cakewalk. Since Bandlab is not abandoning Workspaces, I have no plans to switch to another DAW. Within the past 5-8 years I have tried a couple of others, but have found that I lose time and efficiency over what I already know how to do. If there is a free version of Studio One with a counterpart to Workspaces and if Mike does does a tutorial on how to use it, I will certainly be interested in watching it.
  18. This is surprising. What happens if the track records on omni mode with each controller on a different MIDI channel--one for the B-3X upper and one for the B-3X lower? Update: It works for me. Controller 1 sending on MIDI Channel 1. Controller 2 sending on MIDI Channel 2. Hammond B-3X Upper set to receive MIDI Channel 1. Hammond B-3X Lower set to receive MIDI Channel 2. CbB Midi Input [ I ] set to All Inputs (One Organ Track). CbB recorded MIDI Data from both Inputs (verified via Event View). CbB played MIDI Data on both channels (verified via playback).
