While installing CbB would work, it would still have to “authorize”. There’s the rub, if and when CbB no longer authorizes then it’s over! No way to “future proof” that… t

John, I applaud your efforts with Next, and hope you will keep an eye on it as it develops. Your CbB videos are a great asset to the community and, I’m sure, have helped a lot of new users. If there is something useful in Next to long time CbB users, it will take someone like you to “turn them on to it. Personally, I’m not a “tester”, I tend to just “plod” along with what I know. One thing for sure though, I’ll be at or near the front of line when Sonar and Next “drop”. Noel and Co. have worked hard for us and deserve our respect and support. Here’s to “big” things coming in the new year… 🤞 t

This is true. However, it has never caused issues in the past. There is no reason to think that it will now. I’m sure there are a number of “regulars” here on the forum that have been in the beta program for some time (evidently this has been going on for a year). IF (capitalized on purpose) Sonar was creating “issues” with CbB projects, priority one would have been “fixing” that. A shame really that Sonar was announced long before it was ready to “roll out”. I like to keep the Master wide and the rest narrow. I set my console up though so I can widen one of the others; Vocals, SubMix, Guitars, Drums, Keys and not lose the last one in the string. I don’t use “work spaces” so I generally don’t have issues in the console view. t

So on a serious note: You shoot the MASTER buss out to the SSL, then to the monitors, or back into S1 then to the monitors? And this is where Pipeline XT shines? t

Frank, I use the track view when recording, and the console for mixing. YMMV

But in what order? The order they were installed? What is the criteria that CbB uses? @norfolkmasteringdelete your aud.ini file. Then delete the drivers. Then reinstall the drivers in the order that you want them. Of course you may want to wait on msmcleod’s answer. It may be that CbB sets up the list on some criteria that can’t be changed. There is no need to reinstall CbB. t

@bitflipperDid you call Beacon? I realize you supervised the faucet replacement, but the plumber should have insisted that at least the hot supply line be replaced when he replaced the hot water turn off. That is “standard” practice. (I know that is no consolation). t

Perhaps you can edit the aud.ini file and place the devices in the order you desire? It’s a simple text file. Option 2: I’m not sure how CbB places each driver as you install them. But, you could try uninstalling all drivers and then (after figuring out how CbB prioritizes them) install in the order you wish them to appear. t

Sage advice!

I have a PRS like that. I play it a little, but I’m afraid to “play out” with it. One “bounce” off the mic stand and the value drops a ton. Great guitar, shame I’m just “holding” it “captive”…
