  1. Congrats, MM—thanks for sharing the goodness! This is really nice to hear. A buddy of mine is a DJ here in Detroit and I hear stories about how hard it is to even get that far. Enjoy the buzz!!!
  2. I love Neural plug-ins, first of all. In the case of ReValver, I find the dynamics are actually on par with Neural plug-ins which is amazing when you consider just how long ReValver has been around. like BFD3, it’s suffered from a lack of investment and modernizing, but the variety of amps is extensive, as are the number of effects, some of which are unique. I take ReValver’s 6505 models over any similar models. They’re stellar. I always use 3rd party IR’s which helps most amp sims in general. That said, Neural plug-ins are easy to dial in and a joy to navigate. If ReValver had a better overall user experience, I’d probably use it the most, although it does lack some key amp heads vs. it’s competition. At $29, I’ve never seen a better value for an all-in amp sim suite, but understand folk’s concerns with its age. As with BFD3, I’m hopeful that ReValver gets some love—it was my first amp sim and I would be happy to make it my last. I’m really tired of chasing tones when there are perfectly good ones here today, especially when it comes to placing them in a mix. Does it replace Nolly, Gojira, and Pliny? No, but I don’t think it would take much outside of creating a better user experience and adding a few bells and whistles. As it is, I go to it often when I need an all-around suite of amps and effects, and the 3rd party plugin integration is one of the reasons why. Much easier on CPU than Neural and Softube, too.
  3. I am SO glad you like it. I'm a reverb hoarder and it consistently lands on more tracks than most. It really is something else, and so easy to dial in.
  4. Yep...been waiting for Softube to take $4 off the price of the Marshall Cabinet Collection...said no one ever. Having said that, the new IR loader in AmpRoom - basic as it is - includes some EXCELLENT IRs and finally gives users an easy way to load their own. But if you didn't get it for $46 last week I'm not sure when we'll see that price again. Superb value at BF prices.
  5. I don't use all of them consistently outside of REV Intensity which is one of my go-to reverbs. Fragments is excellent - I prefer it to the Output plugins (Movement, Portal) that sort of do the same thing. The Flanger is super flexible, and I use it almost exclusively for that effect. My out of pocket for FX2 and the upgrade was $100; throw in some compressors and EQs that get pulled out once in a while and I'm OK with the investment. But that reverb...
  6. Not sure if Petrucci or Rabea will go lower since they’re the latest releases. But I’d go for Petrucci, too. Then I’d have to edit my loot list again. But that’s OK.
  7. Larry beat me to it by HOURS. Silly me. Too many threads to follow. Sign of a good BF!!!
  8. Sound wise always spoke highly of its dynamics—I have to agree. It feels closest to the response of an actual amp to me. No brainer, and one of the main reasons I left so many other guitar sims in the cart this year, including Helix Native.

  10. I KNOW, RIGHT?!!!!!! I'm a collector and it's a problem. I've already owned Helix Native and S-Gear fer God's sake!!!!!!!
  11. I backed out of much of the list after realizing how much additional duplication I would have, even though I would miss all the shiny new things. Keepers: Toontrack Fusion EZBass MIDI Toontrack Metal Machine EZX = maybe some useful sounds and decent MIDI all for a MIDI pack price Audiomodern Playbeat Arturia FX3 upgrade from FX2 Left in the cart: Helix Native Scuffham S-Gear Mercuriall Reaxis Studio One Pro 6 update Baby Audio Crystalline Saved some $$$, for sure.
  12. +1 for Drew kudos. I wouldn't be using BFD3 today if it weren't for his patience and help. You actually need to show some patience with him, too, but he comes through in the end.
  13. https://www.thomannmusic.com/toontrack_superior_drummer_3.htm If you don't have SD3 already, this is killer: SD3 PLUS any expansion, including those in the $179 range that are not on sale...for $311. That's a good deal but obviously not direct from TT.
  14. The Audio Assault loader is super flexible and easy to use; I just can't figure out how to change the default IR folder to the one I use. The PRS Archon with Ownhammer IRs sounds REALLY good.
  15. I find these to work best with 3rd party IRs, and definitely worth the $20. There have been a ton of deals the last couple of weeks that would benefit new musicians even more than us crotchety veterans who have amassed tons of plugins already. The PRS amps, Renn Max, and Total Studio 3.5 being examples.
  16. Slightly on topic, but this is super interesting and making me want to give TONEX a bit more time:
  17. The stock BFD3 cymbals are very nice as well.
  18. That’s THE question, Zo. Do I really need this? Waves OMNI channel has done pretty much anything I ask it to, so I will have to trial this first to see if it adds character to the DI. But if it were only $29…
  19. Dang. All I want is the Guitarstrip. I’ll trade you 14 Drumstrips and 9 Vocalstrips for your 1 Guitarstrip. Won’t be able to give them away after this sale.
  20. Trust me...I was nearly done with them as well but the latest release talked me off the edge. I would still be using it today if they weren't being innovated around. I sent them a note ages ago about how they had an ecosystem already built between their kits, Drum Drops, and Platinum Samples but failed in every way to unify the pieces. I still hope for better days for BFD3 and have used SD3 to build a drum track that would eventually be mapped to BFD3 but its too much work to do that consistently. But damn do they sound good, and the latest - Dark Farm - is no exception. $43 for BFD3 at Thomann makes me happy for someone who doesn't have it yet.
  21. $49 for the FX3 upgrade and $69 for Pigments, which I was on the fence about earlier but that price might make me fall onto their side of the fence. Just looking further, I see $149 to upgrade to V9 but I don't have anything from previous versions.
  22. We know you’re bluffing. No more Flatulus? C’mon.
