FYI Blue Cat's PatchWork is much easier to use w/ better features than Meta but more expensive. It's currently on sale for around $80.00.

AA doesn't do saturation very well because of their static convolution tech. It's getting better but I reach for algo like Fuse Audio, Kush or similar for preamp sat..

I think it's rather subtle, not for creating distorted synths if that's what you're going for. ATM I'm using it on the mix bus gain staged @ -18 & fully + it's saturating but not over driving. It sounds open & of course has a classic tube sound, which you may or may not like. I'd try the demo, you might like it.
