  1. Just fired up the latest version & noticed this. A very useful feature for myself. I no longer have to manually rename my vst3's using the /// system. Thanks, that is all!
  2. Not in the market for any amp sims but curious how it compares to the rest. I'm sure a shootout vid will be coming soon.
  3. I'm seeing $83.12 ( 4 Studio upgrade ->5 Studio) at everyPlugin. Seems decent..
  4. I don't know, haven't tried either one.
  5. Introducing SVT Suite, the first-ever Ampeg plugin from the most trusted name in bass amplification. Watch Ampeg Product Manager Dom Liberati give an overview and demonstrate some of the sounds from SVT Suite. The SVT Suite plugin features three of the most sought-after SVT amp heads: The HeritageTM 50th Anniversary SVT, the Heritage SVT-CL, and the SVT-4PRO. The amps can be paired with any of eight diverse speaker cabinets and third-party IRs may also be loaded. Price: $199.99 https://ampeg.com/svt-suite/
  6. Thanks Kevin, appreciate your feedback!
  7. I just tried it for the first time. It started loading but then I had a wait a bit before a 'Preview Your Master' page popped up. (It doesn't accept FLAC if that's what you used. ) Gave me a choice of 3 options to listen to & choose- CD Quality, Bass Boost & Enhance Clarity. You need to have a BandLab account & be signed in to download the master. Then its in your projects area.. you can then download your master as- -Med. Quality MP3 ( 128/ 44k) -High MP3 ( 192/44k) -Highest ( 320 mp3) Wav- 16b/44k) Pretty cool feature for free, you might want to try again.
  8. These upgrade prices seem to be pretty much inline to what they've been in the past.
  9. I've tried several AI mastering services since they started a few years ago including LANDR. I'm not an M/E by any stretch but I always prefer my own results. I expect that though because AI only compares & adjusts your track against an algorithm, it's not actually hearing it so naturally there's many variables it can't account for. I'm not saying one can't get good results just be aware of what it does, what it can & can't do. (BandLab has this free mastering feature, you might want to give it a shot too.) https://www.bandlab.com/mastering One thing I would keep in mind is that your mix should basically sound the way you want it to before having it mastered, whether it's using AI or professionally done. I'd also try having a track professionally mastered sometime then compare it to AI or your own mastering skills as a reference.
  10. Thanks Wookiee, canned drums, real sax, vox, gtrs, bass on all tracks. Event headphones?..they must have a giant head band!
  11. more today- -AKG K7XX: a soft profile similar to the one made for the 702 Smooth. These headphones in fact derive from K702 with a different tuning. The sound is very balanced, even if the headphone tends to be slightly distorted. -AUDEZE LCD2 CLOSED BACK SMOOTH: a much more balanced profile in the low frequencies than the standard profile. -AUSTRIAN AUDIO HIX50: these closed-back headphones, with our profile, have really surprised us. The sound is very compact and defined. Highly recommended if you are looking for a closed over-the-ear headphone -ULTRASONE PROLINE 750: sound balanced, but tend to sound cheap in the high frequencies -SONY MDR Z500: a balanced closed-back headphone with this profile and have a fair amount of detail -KZ ES4: these are very balanced in-ears, as well as pretty cheap.
  12. Hi Jesse, I just listened to it again this morning & I'm not hearing any clipping now. Not sure why, something on my end I guess so disregard! cool track
  13. Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it.
  14. Nice track Kurt, ch. structure, gtr. lines & tone...getting some of that classic jazz-fusion vibe. - enjoyed it
  15. It's your classic style & groove freddy, the collab with Lynn gives added depth to the track. -enjoyed it.
  16. Nice mixing media on this piece, enjoyed it.
  17. As always an interesting track..no suggestions, noticed that clipping on the kick but I assume that was by design?

  21. I haven't purchased a WUP in about 5 years. They all still work but I only use a handful of them anymore, plus they haven't released any new ones I'm interested in. I used to go through Waves Universe, around $165.00 for the bunch; Mercury, AB, SSL.. Unfortunately Waves Universe is no more.
  22. I use mainly 3rd party programs myself however some like the stock ones n4 comes with. Tim Petherick, CDS ( good but hasn't been updated in years), Alex B, Cupwise, AITB are a few . There's some good programs in this older freebie from Henry Olonga- AYCE The above are the unofficial 3rd party devs, you'll find the official ones on AA's site.. There's some good programs there too. Edit- here's the link to the free downloads- AYCE Free Notice the Waves Q Clone link too...
  23. May 16th: Minor improvements updated Fircomp 2 to version 2.0.7 (16th May build). In this version: - GUI drawing has been made slightly more efficient, especially if you are using a theme with a background image. - There is now a new "Coupled peak mode" option. This is quite similar to the standard peak mode that fircomp 2 uses by default. However, the attack and release stages are now "coupled" to each other, meaning that the release time does not have the attack time added to it. This means that for non-zero attack times, the release time may feel faster. When the attack time is zero, this mode is identical to the default mode. https://jonvaudio.com/fircomp2/
  24. Thanks Tom, I had fun testing the Acustica software on this batch of Cakewalk projects.
